Fresh ingredients made into wonderful meals here. We had the salmon tartare and roast pork ( not pictured here) for lunch and both were amazing!! Had the main + dessert for 19 euro each and the apricot tart was divine.

This is the first bistro to try after arriving Paris. Got there at noon on a Sunday just as they opened and by 12:30 they're pretty much packed. Good delicious food. A good solid choice when visiting the Sacred Heart church in the Montmarte area of Paris.

I really enjoyed my experience there. The food was good and the staff very friendly. Spend your Euros at restaurants, your best memories of Paris will come from those kind of places.

My girlfriend and I tried most of the meals from the menu. Never disapppointed. Everything fresh and tasty. Look at the pictures, they are as relevant as any comment. And the team is helpful as necessary, which might be rare in such a touristic area.

Very friendly staff who had a good sense of humour. Allowed us to change the menu up and make requests to cater for us without any problems for a breakfast / lunch meal. Excellent service will definitely return on future trips.

Great French brasserie. Don't miss their Lobster croque monsieur, their best selling main course. Otherwise all other dishes were delicious. Food is home made and looks like family run by a couple. The location is amazing, in the heart of Montmartre: perfect to match with some sightseeing

House maid French Cuisine. Their food is delicious as I have been there twice! They have vegetarian & meat options. Prices around 26€ for a full course menu without wine

Yelp
Our monthly Supper Club made it to Jeanne B this last weekend and my only regret is not finding it sooner. Friendly staff, excellent food, with a focus on local and regional producers, great pricing (25€ for 2 courses, 29€ for 3), and accommodating (they took our rez for 10 people on a Saturday night!). On the winding Rue Lepic, just a ways past Van Gogh's Parisian apartment in Montmartre. Also - one of our group didn't speak any French and the staff were able to help and even had an English menu.

Yelp
After living in Montmartre for five weeks, I think we only scratched the surface of all the bistros, restaurants and bars on offer. I'm not sure we were once disappointed, and how could we be with dishes like Croque Homard. If you haven't guessed, that's the classic Croque Monsieur but with a twist. Delicious toasted brioche with a generous serving of lobster and various sauces, and an absolutely perfect delicious salad. As you might guess then, I loved Chez Jean, introduced by a work colleague. We arrived nicely early, so it was empty. The beautiful and charming waitress showed us the specials, and not being super-hungry, we ended up splitting an appetizer and dessert, and both had the Croque Homard! I really love the simplicity of a steamed artichoke. It reminds me of how Mom used to prepare it for us on a rare occasion, though the dipping sauce here was a step up from the Best Food's Mayonnaise that we used (which is not a terrible thing). The dessert, a light cloud of passionfruit mousse, was gorgeous. Oh, and I can't forget to mention that the wine of the month was a Morgon, so we split a bottle, and my god, it was delicieux! Hitting the mark for every course, plus a nice ambiance, great wine, and good service... it would be mean to give this less than 5 stars.

Yelp
YES! A great restaurant in Montmartre!! In a neighborhood full of terrible, tourist-centric food, this restaurant stands out. It's located on a beautiful cobblestone street, absolutely adorable and charming. The outdoor seating is limited, but great for people-watching. I'd highly recommend trying to get one of those tables. We did the appetizer-entree special (~23 euros). I had a special soup (veloute de jour), which was a cold puree made with carrots and cumin. This was so light yet creamy and had excellent flavor. Made me realize how much I miss cumin! I also had the tourte de legumes, which was essentially a pastry/pie chock full of spring vegetables. My friend had the verrine de jour, which was sort of like a savory parfait, layered with smoked eggplant "caviar", ricotta, and some sliced jamon. I don't know how they did it, but this dip was extraordinary. We couldn't get enough of it! Such a unique dish with awesome flavor. She also praised her chicken entree. I love that this place feels like a gourmet deli - make sure to check out all of the prepared food behind the counter. Also, everyone who works at this place is attractive. What more could you want?

Yelp
Very nice place. The staff is friendly and polite. The food is delicious and professionally prepared under your eyes. Your taste buds will thank you. The prices are on the high side but the service, food and wine are well worth it.

Yelp
I was referred to this establishment by my cousin who is a Parisan. It doesn't look like much in space, but sufficient if dining here. A little hard to find at first, but once found, it was good. I had the chicken which was too dry in taste and texture. The tartare was good and portions here was big. Their wine menu wasn't bad.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while exploring Montmartre, and it was a happy accident. Servers were super friendly and they had an English menu (which when you are tired and freezing can be a welcome sight). Had the roasted lamb as my main and it was perfect. Enjoyed a glass of wine and the rillette of the day as a starter. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Yelp
Wonderful little eatery. Not easy to run across so it wasn't very busy. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

Yelp
Note: I have been living in France for the last 1.5 years, and speak fluent French. I have never had an experience similar to this before. Had a terrible experience with the service here. I arrived in the afternoon and asked to be seated for a drink, as I saw a couple other people on the terrace. The worker redirected me to the waiter, who came by 5 minutes later and gave us the menus. He then disappeared for *15 minutes*. I went inside and asked to order, after waiting another 5 minutes inside, a cleaner went outside to call for the waiter, who apparently was smoking. I waited for him to come back, standing up for another 3 minutes, then rage quit. I went outside, got my bag and walked down the street to the waiter and said in French, "You're not professional" ("t'es pas professionnel" using the informal "You" to be disrespectful). He then gave a sneer and walked back to the restaurant. It's unclear why the waiter was doing this. I'm not sure, because the others were served.

Yelp
Some of the best food I've eaten in France This restaurant is a bit off the beaten tourist path in Montmartre, so you know you're getting good French food meant for French people, not exploiting tourists. I ordered the leeks, the lamb, and the abricot tart. Every bite was transformationally good. I've been in Paris for a month, and this was the best food I've eaten here. I even came back with French friends, it was so good. I wish they served champagne or cocktails. Also, one of the servers kept speaking to me in English, and brought me the English menu for the second course, after he heard me speak English to another customer, even though my French is near-native. I found that kind of annoying, and kept responding to him in French. He meant well, but it bugged me.

Yelp
Okay, long post coming. What an AMAZING experience at Jeanne B in Paris near the Moulin Rouge. From the moment we walked in our waitress Chris, who is also the manager, walked us through the entire menu that is full of a variety of dishes; including some exciting options of things I personally have never eaten. Extraordinary is an understatement. Each dish was strategically done and was beyond happy we found this GEM. It was more than the food, everything was there to provide an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend and especially loved our waitress Chris who went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed our meal and more importantly our time in Paris. Full of suggestions and full of charisma that was a breath of fresh air for some tourists.

Yelp
Random stop for lunch turned into one of our favorite meals in Paris. The staff is so friendly, helpful with the menu for non-Parisians. I got the roast chicken which was perfect, husband got pork shoulder and he said it was some of the best he's ever had. Good wine selection too.

Yelp
We came here as part of a food tour and were very happy with our entrees! They had enough options to satisfy even picky eaters. Some of the choices I remember included: lamb, roast chicken, meat pie, vegetable pie, and fish. Our party of 5 shared a bottle of red and it was a great way to spend an afternoon. I ordered the veggie pie, which felt like one of the healthier (yet still hearty) dishes I had while in Paris, which was such a refreshing change. The crust on the pie was perfectly buttery and flaky and came packed with spinach, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, and other bits of goodness. The DH ordered the roast chicken, which was a small breast roast with rosemary served with scalloped potatoes and a homemade gravy sauce on the side. He enjoyed his dish as well. One of my favorite things about the restaurant was the big windows in the front where you can watch the chef prepare food. Apparently it is becoming more common to simply heat pre-cooked food at restaurants in Paris, but that is clearly not the case at Jeanne B, where the food was fresh and delicious!

Yelp
Loved this simple deli cum restaurant with their fresh and simple market inspired food and charming service. I wanted to try Jeanne B after having been to Jeanne A not long ago and I loved it. Jeanne B was just as good if a lighter more airy space (with a cool room at the back for parties or events). We shared the cold cucumber veloute with my friend as a starter - which was tasty and fresh. For mains she had the courgette stuffed with scamorza which was scrumptious, I had the 1..2..3 salad with chicken which was very tasty and very varied with lots of different ingredients. We finished off with the tart of the day which was a moist apricot and almond creation with a crunchy crust and lots of tart apricots. Delicious! All in all this will become a new local favourite for me, especially as it's just above a fairly touristy area and offers a lovely respite from the current Parisian heat.

Yelp
Jeanne B is a little gem tucked away from the madness of the neighborhood. i came here alone on a saturday evening (still early for french dinner times), got a great spot outside and was excited to eat here. my server was extremely nice and obliging to the fact that my french was limited at best. they bring the menu over to you and at 29 euro, the starter/main/dessert is the way to go. i had a salad with salmon/apple/fennel to start, the lamb with potato gratin & for dessert - a "dry cake" (as described, but was more like a thick cookie) with mousse and chantilly cream. the lamb was rich and delicious if not a tad tendon-y, so i'm not sure i'd get it again. also, didn't realize i ordered the lamb to be honest, so i'm sorry for eating you, sweet little lamb, but i know you were locally and responsibly raised. if i ever find myself in paris again, i will definitely be back here because the overall experience was wonderful and quaint.

Yelp
I loved it back during our honeymoon. Hubby and I went in randomly. Great ambiance of a deli/casual dining. The place was empty (another family entered as we were finishing dessert), but it still felt cozy and warm. The food was wonderful. Loved my starter of sea snails, and the rabbit pie was HEAVEN! I mean, I was contemplating how much I would have to pay to learn how to make that pie. Its the whole point of writing this review! Wine and dessert (a raspberry napoleon time of cake) was yummy too. The staff - the lone guy working that night it seemed- was friendly and funny. He spared me from having to dust off my paltry French skills and had us feeling relaxed and satiated. Lovely place, hope I can return there soon.

Yelp
Delicious food, reasonably priced. Moreover the staff was incredibly friendly. Wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone touring this area in need of a casual sit down lunch

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best meals we had in Paris. My wife and I walked in without reservations and got seated at these really small tables on the street with the chefs directly behind us preparing food. I'm glad we sat there. It was romantic with a panoramic view of the curving street running up the hill. We had amazing appetizers while sipping wine and watching locals walk home at the end of the day, finishing with quality food that was just the right proportion. Eating in France is an art of balancing mixing tastes, wines, portion sizes, atmosphere and outstanding service and this place excelled at all of those.
