Jefferson House Bed and Breakfast

Such a wonderful stay. We came to KC for a wedding and decided to make a full weekend of it. I'm so so glad we did! Peter and Theresa have such wonderful hospitality, and their home is beautiful. The artwork in the house is so beautiful and unique. We can really tell all of the attention to detail that they have. Theresa is such an amazing cook, each morning was an adventure I couldn't wait for. 10/10 I would stay here again anytime

We just stayed there for three days. The hosts, Peter and Theresa are just wonderful people. The home is beautifully restored with lovely antiques and art. The ceramic art and dishes were created by Theresa, who is an amazing artist. The food was wonderful and unique. The location is perfect, overlooking downtown KC. Almost everything is within walking distance. Many great restaurants are on the same block. We were able to arrive on a train from St. Louis and do most of our sightseeing on foot. Highly recommended.

I would really highly recommend this B&B. It is a beautiful house is a great area. Peter and Theresa who run it are so warm and welcoming and really make you feel at home. They were great for giving advice on place to go and see in KC. The room was really spacious and clean with a comfy bed. Theresa cooked the most delicious breakfast in the morning. She is also a potter so we had a look in her studio and bought one of her beautiful bowls. Staying here was great and made our time in KC all the better.

Teresa is an Excellent Cheif!!! Outstanding service and relaxing atmosphere! We are regulars and we love this Beautiful House! What makes the experience even better is that one of the hosts Peter is extremely knowledgeable of all the current events in KC and the best places to eat! If it’s your first time in KC, stay here! It’s the home away from home, you never knew you had!

We stayed at the Jefferson house to celebrate our anniversary. The home has been meticulously remodeled from top to bottom and is stunning. The room was decorated well and everything was clean and spotless. Peter and Theresa are the best hosts, and cook a delicious gourmet breakfast. They also greet you with fresh shortbread cookies and a glass of wine. We had something come up and they were more than accommodating to meet our needs. This is a must stay if you are looking for a place to get away in Kansas City.

Stayed here back in October for an Ed Sheeran concert on my birthday. Best birthday present ever. Peter will make you laugh and Theresa will make you the best food you've ever had. They are amazing hosts, both very kind and helpful. I had a very wonderful time and can't wait to come back.

Theresa and Peter made my conference visit to Kansas City a very memorable one. Whether in Theresa's pottery studio, chatting with Peter as he rebuilt the wall surrounding the lovely garden, or during the spectacular breakfasts, we had some wonderful conversations. And the location is extremely convenient. One evening I walked back to the B & B after a concert at the symphony. Mornings I walked to my conference engagements. Total time? 5 minutes. I would recommend Jefferson House to anyone!

Peter and Theresa offered a lovely traditional whimsical option for our annual visit to KC. Immediately Peter was gracious and so friendly. A true delight from beginning to end. Theresa's breakfast and attention to detail was simply fantastic. We will definitely return if available. A great find!!!
