Jefferson Theatre

Beautiful, old theater with comfortable seating. It appears that there's not a bad seat in the place. We saw an excellent show, Henry Cho.

Enjoyed the Home Alone Classic movie night at the Jefferson Theatre. The carolers were very good too! I can't wait to go back. Such a beautiful place!

Beautiful, unique, and nostalgic. Amazing architecture from a time long past. They have very affordable movie nights, and a magnificently restored organ. Any event here is enhanced by the elegance of the building.

So this theater is really pretty. Sound was great and being a bit smaller venue gave it an intimate feel that was fantastic. That said you need to be forewarned that leg room in this theater is less than spirit airlines. Like 6 inches from the back of the seat in front of it when seat is down. So long legs or thick legs will not find this experience comfortable at all. The seats were old school but comfy except for the leg room. Other than that the theater is beautifully preserved and quite beautiful.

First time taking my wife here. We drove in from Houston to see Dusty Slay. Very intimate venue with easy no pay parking. They do both Stand up comedians as well as special movie events from past favorites and classics.

What a nice way to see a classic movie in an old theatre with decor to match. There isn't much parking at the lot, mostly street parking. There is a concession stand that has popcorn, bags of chips, a few candy options, soda cans, water and a couple of beers options. Price for movie is fantastic, the food too! It's a responsible night out for sure!

This was my first event at the Jefferson Theatre and I will definitely be back! I'm not sure how the restrooms are ADA compliant, but they were better than I was expecting based on the long journey down to their location. The staff was very kind and attentive. The concert was Blue October and Mona, so how could anyone have a bad time? It is beautiful and well taken care of. I wish they would've utilized the Marque to announce the bands and parking is a nightmare but overall wonderful experience!

Very little happens in downtown Beaumont after the office workers leave. The city tried to change that by opening a nightlife district on Crockett Street; that was such a bust that it was a joke. No, one of the few places you can go at night in downtown is the Jefferson Theatre. Opened in 1927, the Jefferson is a grand old dame. It's similar to other old theaters I've been to. And thankfully, it did not suffer the same fate as most of them: being torn down for an office tower with no character or - worse yet - a parking lot. It's well taken care of. I put it at three stars because it's not used much. There are VERY occasional concerts and movies that appear here. Not enough to make the Jefferson a destination. This may be because the Beaumont-Port Arthur area has very little nightlife to begin with. With so many people moving to Texas lately, including some to the southeast corner, this may bring in people who may want to see more classic movies or nationally-ranked concerts. The Jefferson has a far better local reputation than the Ford Arena & Pavilion several miles to the southwest, so why not? If you like old theaters, then you'll love the Jefferson Theatre. Hopefully there's an event there when you're ready to see it.

I love these old venues! We came to the Jefferson to see Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt (if I'm ever going to be considered Texan, I feel like seeing Lyle Lovett is part of the mandatory to-do list), and immediately fell in love with the place. The ticket process was easy and the ushers were so helpful when our tickets wouldn't print correctly. Next time we'll just do will call, since the line was so short. Live music typically sounds better in a smaller venue like this, and Jefferson is no different...
