"Jelly Delights Look for a hip crowd of 20- and 30-somethings mingling outside a corner cafe in Denver's youthful Capital Hill neighborhood. This marks the entrance to the city's new favorite breakfast joint, Jelly. Enjoy Bloody Mary's with a garden of veggies on top and a mixed basket of doughnut bites (with housemade jellies and fillings) while you wait. Then choose between frosted flake pancakes, chai French toast, and four different "sliders" (frittata inside a bun) for breakfast. Take a break from eating to appreciate the retro cereal boxes that line the restaurant's bright walls. Jelly is a classic."

We met friends for brunch here and had a great experience! We each ordered a dish of our own and then split a plate of 8 donut holes. Everything well made and delicious. The donuts were warm and made to order. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was fun and funky. Would highly recommend.

Google
Perfectly good breakfast, lunch or dinner spot. Love that we got to choose different flavors of their mini donuts. Raspberry and lemon were top notch. Plus you can get gluten free. Breakfast burrito is FAT! My hash was delicious and I substituted the housemade biscuit for toast. Too bad it was pretty dense and dry. Appreciate the dog friendly patio!

The entire theme of the restaurant was incredibly adorable. From all of the retro cereal boxes to the Star Wars themed restroom. The food was tasty - I mean, blueberry lavender pancakes, dude?! Hell yeah! 🤟🏾I will definitely be back.

Google
I have visited DU a couple of times from out of town. Jelly Cafe has become my go-to for breakfast when I visit. The chilaquiles here are amazing, with just the right green chili spice and red onion. My daughter gets cinnamon pancakes, a solid choice. We shared donut bites-so good, esp. the jelly one! The service is on point, there when you need them. And the interior is engaging and fun. It's a joy to eat here.

Google
The food was great, except I’m not a huge fan of the biscuit but everything else was amazing. The service was amazing. The ambience was beautiful.

Google
LOVED Jelly Cafe. Great vibe, great service, great food. We got Haco Benedict, Molly Hot Brown, Cinnamon Roll pancake and Aztec Hash and all were served hot and Delicious. The menu was great- many good options make it hard to decide. Really great options for gluten free and vegetarians. The coffee was lovely and staff come frequently for refills. Young crowd but welcoming to all. Overall, charming restaurant and delicious breakfast. We'll be back!

Google
Cute little brunch spot. Friendly staff, great menu selection, untouched consistency and quality. I'm partial towards getting their classic Benedict but on a biscuit, with crispy potatoes. Easily one of the best biscuits in Denver and really elevates the Benedict experience by not becoming sopped up like an English muffin will. Courtney behind the breakfast bar was super attentive and kind with so much patience with it being so busy. Highly recommend to anybody looking for a quality breakfast/brunch experience!

Google
Very unique place, good vibe. The food seems homemade, my Avocado Caprese was super delicious, I would highly recommend it, not very filling but very good in taste. The salmon scramble with biscuit and side of gravy, it was good, tastes like country food. All made in house.

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience here. The food was delicious and service was great ! In love with their pancakes! So soft and fluffy!

Yelp
Food and staff are amazing! On of my fav breakfast places! Highly recommend, also it really helps if you make a reservation before you get there!

Yelp
Great little neighborhood spot for breakfast in Cap Hill. It has a cute, retro vibe that matches a lot of the other popular spots on 13th street. The service is always pretty good, and the food is yummy. Don't expect anything life changing, but it's a great place to stop in for a weekend brunch before doing some shopping or hanging out in Cap Hill.
google avatar

Yelp
This joint is a special treat. But on the weekends, it's difficult parking. After 20 minutes looking for and finding parking, we headed in for breakfast. It was a nice walk at 8:30 am on a Saturday. We tried Benedict's, specialty coffees, and donut bites. The sever was very helpful in steering us towards dishes we would like. We got doughnut bites first. So these are really doughnut holes that are dressed on top. They looked so good that I forget to take a pic of the plate. I personally loved the salted caramel doughnut bites. We also got a Mocha and a Chai Latte. Both were fabulous. This place is an awesome spot for hot drinks. What I love is the range and choice of milks. I prefer oat milk in hot drinks and they have it at Jelly! Our food came out and it was beautiful. Everything was also tasty. The guys got Benedict's and I got Chiliquiles. There was plenty of on the plate and each sauce was executed beautifully. The flavor of the Chiliquiles was awesome. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The seasonings were delicious, and the saladas were yummy. I would definitely order this again. If you're looking for a quirky little diner-esque breakfast spot with a more colorful menu, I highly recommend Jelly.

Yelp
LOVED this place - so cute for brunch! My friend had been before and strongly recommended it, so we knew what to expect. We got on the table waitlist as we left our hotel and our table was ready just as we pulled up - about a 25 min drive time (so wait time if you don't have a res). It is on a corner with plenty of street parking but it was pretty full that sat AM so we had to park a couple blocks down. The servers - very friendly and helpful. The ambiance - cute cafe-looking, and the patio is heated/covered in winter so it is still warm enough to sit out there which we did! The food - delicious!! I got a savory French toast dish along with their famous jelly donuts, and I'm not even a donut person but I greatly enjoyed them. My friend got a bunch of sides including potatoes and toast which she also really enjoyed. I also got a French 86, which was quite strong - I wasn't expecting to leave brunch unable to drive but it wore off within 30 min or so (and my friend drove). For the food, drinks, and tip we spent about $70 together so not bad at all! I would absolutely come back for brunch again any time!

Yelp
Jelly wins my award for cutest brunch spot I had the pleasure of dining in during my time in Denver! The restaurant is ADORABLE. If you love the color pink, and bright poppy fun vibes, you'll love this place. Everything we ate was so good. We didn't have a single complaint about anything we tasted. We ordered the smoked salmon and goat cheese scramble, French toast and a couple of their famed donut holes. All were delicious. That French toast was mouth wateringly good. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Denver!

Yelp
I decided to try it one more time and sadly it was worse. I ordered the salmon BLT. There was only enough salmon to cover half the sandwich, it was dry, the bacon was not fully cooked, and ended up with half a sandwich. The fries were bland, but edible. The service left a lot to be desired, besides almost finishing my lunch before my friends got their food, the attitude of the person who served us was very off putting. On a positive not, the pancakes my friend got were yummy and the bisquit I tried was good, which saved the review. It is a cool location and clean, however, 22 bucks for a half of a sandwich and a small fry is not worth it.

Cole S.

Yelp
First time here and absolutely loved it! Food came out very quick and the service way great. Everyone at our table loved what they got. I got the salmon Benedict and it was phenomenal. I will definitely be back to try something new!
google avatar

Yelp
I wanted to update my review bc the food was great again. The crappy bacon was a one off, and now it's back to crispy and awesome; everything else was solid as usual. Tried their biscuit, pretty good and the size of a tennis ball. Great local breakfast spot. I wish they offered a grilled veggies side option/upgraded sub...but the spinach is a decent alternative.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEEE. went for brunch, awesome menu options. I never see corn beef hash anywhere! So I HAD to order. And wowwwww I cannot recommend more. Friend got French toast and egg special with biscuit. All of the food was really fantastic. They also had fresh jelly accompanying. Really cute vibes, 50s diner meets 70s psychedelic meets millennial. Also have two bathrooms. Really loved our waiter, took great care of us.

Yelp
UPDATE! All of the things mentioned in my previous review still ring true! Although the menu is breakfast heavy and served all day, the lunch shines just as much and is OMG so good. ++ The Ruben - Slow-cooked corned beef or roasted turkey, or both - with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut with Russian dressing on rye bread. Do yourself a favor and get the corned beef as the meat is generously layered with melty cheese and absolutely delicious! ++ SBLT - Griddled salmon with bacon, lettuce, tomato and basil mayonnaise served on multigrain bread. I know what you're thinking, "salmon, at a breakfast joint?". Well, let me tell you this sandwich was well cooked, layered perfectly and refreshing! My side of sweet potato fries were icing on the cake! Mom and I left with a full belly after a wonderful experience! When in the area, I'd easily return!

Yelp
Food was just ok, nothing special. Service was good. We went out of our way to come here and it just wasn't worth it. The donut bites were good, but not memorable. I had a typical scramble and unknowingly paid extra for the driest biscuit I've ever had in my life. I attempted to eat it with the tiny serving of butter and jelly they provided, but it just crumbled. The tablespoon of jelly they served with it was actually the best part of the meal. My husband had a Bloody Mary and the Haco Benedict and said it was good. They serve most dishes with a side of red potatoes that appear to be boiled, unlike the crispy potatoes I'm used to from most diners. Portions are pretty large and outdoor seating is dog friendly.

Yelp
I wish I had tried some donut bites! Great service here, fast and friendly! Coffee was delicious, my northwest scramble was very filling and helped with the bit of altitude sickness I was feeling since I had just flown into Denver to visit. I loved the retro decor and vibe of the restaurant! Definitely recommend for breakfast and brunch.

Yelp
Food was alright. Pancakes were amazing. The potato'es are raw though and not crispy as you would expect. The service was great though and the restraunt cute. Overpriced imo.
google avatar

Krista A.

Yelp
We stopped in while waiting for a car repair. It is a great neighborhood spot with a local vibe. Loved the decor with the diner feel. Had the veggie benedict and it was delicious. The potatoes came out cold but they immediately let the kitchen know and it was fixed right away. I'm never worried when something comes out as an ooops but I truly appreciate when the staff addresses it immediately. The hot brown sounds amazing and we will definitely be back to try it.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant is super cute, hole in the wall kind of place (from the outside I would not have guessed what it was). The interior is a bit eclectic - decor includes old cereal boxes, a teacup chandelier, etc., so not sure what the vibe was. I ordered the breakfast burrito with green salsa, and it was delicious - everything was cooked well and there was just the right amount of heat. I was full halfway through but couldn't stop eating it. We ordered 8 donuts (one of each kind) to share and I was a little disappointed. They were fresh and made to order but just not wow worthy. My least favorite flavor was the Thai peanut (which contains sriracha, in case you're not a fan), but I did enjoy the cream anglaise and the Mexican chocolate. I wouldn't bother with the donuts if I came back here, but would definitely order the burrito or other main entrees!
google avatar

Sehjal A.

Yelp
Had a good time at Jelly! They're a pretty busy spot but we luckily got seated quickly at the bar. Loved the lively Sunday morning energy here. Their Chai Latte was delicious and so was their Breakfast Burrito! I'd skip out on the Salmon Benedict though. Definitely want to come back to try something new on the menu!

Yelp
Perplexed and disappointed. Went on a Tuesday and had great service. Went the next day, same time, and had lousy service. Server got my wife's order wrong, then needed reminding to fix it. Never once had an offer to refill my coffee or water. (Both were completely empty for a while.) It was really hard to get anyone's attention for our check. (Stacking our plates next to the edge of our table wasn't enough I guess.) I had planned on ordering donut holes, because I enjoyed them the day before. But by the time the server noticed us, I was in too bad a mood to be able to enjoy them. I normally like to give servers a lot of slack. It's a hard job. I'd suck at it. But the place was barely a quarter full, and there were multiple times I felt like we were being deliberately ignored. (Which I've never felt before in a restaurant.) A simple "sorry, just a moment" would have gone a long way. Idk I seriously wonder if we offended the staff somehow. The only thing I can think we did was when we were seated, the person who seated us (not our server) pointed us to the QR code at our table for our menu. I remembered having physical menus the day before, so once the server left I got up and grabbed two menus from a stand at the bar. Maybe that annoyed someone? I honestly don't know. The food was also a little disappointing. Biscuits and gravy with far too little gravy. The sandwich I got yesterday was good though. I do like the decoration of the place. The collection of antiquated cereal boxes was cool. And the color scheme. And at first I thought the aesthetic of letting the servers wear pajama pants and a beanie to work gave it a casual feel. But now I'm not so sure that was a deliberate choice by management. Sorry if I seem salty. Today was the last day of my wife and my honeymoon, and she was in a lot of pain from all the hiking we did these last few days. Walking the extra distance from our hotel to this place only to have this experience put a bad taste in my mouth. So maybe take my review with a grain of salt. You'll probably have an okay experience.
google avatar

Jocelyne M.

Yelp
Ahmazing! Started off with 12 donut holes. The Mexican chocolate & raspberry are by far my favorite! The coffee drinks were delicious. The coffee was strong, but not bitter or burnt tasting. The corned beef is house made & perfection! It's shredded & has the perfect amount of flavor & salt. Our server was attentive & made sure we enjoyed everything about the visit. Decor is upbeat, modern & fun. They have lots of old school music posters up throughout. The patio is nice as well.
google avatar

Angela T.

Yelp
Recommend making a reservation as it was packed when I arrived. Food was good. Good ambiance as what is expected from a busy brunch spot. Service could improve as the server was a bit standoffish. The donut holes were tasty as weren't too sweet.
google avatar

Jerry O.

Yelp
This small local chain has a nice selection of breakfast items. I had the blueberry lavender pancakes - which were great, with blueberries inside and a blueberry compote on top. Add a touch of syrup and wallah! Delicious! Jamie had a nice veggie Benedict, with a side salad. They have specialty donuts too - which we didn't get. Many people around us did. The seemed to enjoy them. The donuts are sort of like aebelskivers. Our service was solid and friendly. The vibe here has energy but is also laid back. Recommended!!
google avatar

Grace S.

Yelp
Great place! Very casual! The donuts were delish. Coffee was yummy! We had the sweet potato hash and the French toast! The service was friendly and attentive! Would love to come back!! Only thing was there were dusty spots on the coffee counter and cobwebs on the chandelier.
google avatar

John O.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot with good food that my friend and I love to come to when visiting Denver. The cinnamon roll pancakes taste exactly like you hope they would and melt in your mouth. The ambiance is retro-pop hipster with the walls decorated with cereal boxes and the bathrooms decorated with classic rock star posters. Service is always friendly. This place is popular so join the wait-list
google avatar

Lee Ann R.

Yelp
We were in Denver to see Crowded House and had breakfast at Jelly Cafe, which was near our Airbnb. Everything we tried was delicious. I had the cornflake french toast with berries - crunchy exterior, great berry compote, perfectly cooked. My husband went for the bacon jalapeno corn pancakes - a wonderful blend of salty/sweet/spicy goodness. Their coffee (dh had drip, I had a latte) was excellent. I didn't get any pictures of the vintage cereal boxes which decorate the restaurant, but they have some very cool '80s movie and music posters adorning the restroom.

Rou R.

Yelp
Love this place. Ambiance is amazing with vintage cereal boxes adorning the walls and a retro vibe. Hacho Benedict, corn flake french toast, creme anglaise bites, breakfast burrito, the boulder, etc. All tasty, all the time. The service can be hit or miss as it depends on your waiter.
google avatar

Tabetha J.

Yelp
I've lived here for just over a year now and love coming to this neighborhood breakfast spot. I love that it opens early where random singles like me can enjoy social breakfast counter life. The service is super friendly and chill. I really like seeing the same people working there. It makes it feel very neighborhoody. I like having a breakfast or brunch cocktails there with friends from the neighborhood. It's such a cute fun place and financially accessible! They have an open mic night that I WILL attend at some point!!
google avatar

Brooke G.

Yelp
We come here regularly and love the food. The menu has some great options and we love the veggie-friendly options. It's decorated with retro cereal boxes and has a very fun vibe. The cinnamon roll pancake is my favorite. Pro tip: they switched from Yelp to Toast for joining the waitlist ahead of time.
google avatar

Linna L.

Yelp
The brunch here is wonderful. I tried all the donut holes and they were okay. I thought they were filled with the flavor the donut holes are just topped with the flavors. The eggs Benedict was amazing! The place is small but very cute. The service was great and friendly.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
One of my fave breakfast restaurants in Denver. The chilaquiles were the bomb. Hearty portions, great service, cool vibe. And multiple vegan options. Save room for the donut holes! They come out warm so taking those to go is not as good as eating there!
google avatar

Katelyn C.

Yelp
We stopped here on our way to Ouray from MI, my kids loved the mini doughnuts, the coffee and vibes were on point! Loved it!
google avatar

Pedro P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! The donut holes (bites) were so great! Especially with a cocktail! The service was great as well, the staff is so friendly! I definitely would like to come here and just sit at the counter and have a morning cocktail! The cereal box decor made the place feel so retro in a good way! They also sell really fun magnets with fun retro cereal boxes! The only reason I knocked off a star is because my chilaquile chips were a little stale and they didn't have all the drink options on the menu. I really wanted the cookie cocktail but unfortunately they couldn't make it. Hoping to come back and have it!
google avatar

Suchot K.

Yelp
This place had one of the best corned beef hash I've ever had. The beef was shredded, juicy and had incredible texture. Also very well seasoned! Highly recommend this dish!
google avatar

Kristen S.

Yelp
This was a good place to visit in Denver. We pooped in before a walking tour. We started with the donut holes and tried different flavors. I really liked the salted caramel. I had the chilaquiles which were good but not the best I have had but still tasty. The pancake was nice and fluffy. This was a cute spot to stop in and if I lived in the area I would return.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
I'm not the biggest brunch person, but this place certainly caught my attention. The service is great, and the food is good. The place was busy when I went, but it's really great that they have the Yelp waitlist available so that people don't have to wait 2+ hours outside. That said, they do have to-go options available with a number of espresso drinks and even their uniquely flavored donut bites! They have a pretty extensive menu. I ordered their sweet potato hash, which I thought was great! I do love their in-house jelly and the hot sauces they provided. My friend ordered the chilaquiles with red chile that she also enjoyed. While I thought the donut bites were fun, I do not think I would order them again. They are all the same base (plain) with various icings. The mexican chocolate was a fun flavor, as was the creme anglaise. I would not recommend the Thai peanut, but perhaps I am biased as I associate this flavor with spring rolls, not necessarily for dessert items. They also had a seasonal menu that seemed fun, though I did not order anything from it. Many of their sweeter brunch items, including their cocktails, also seemed promising that I would like to return and try out.
google avatar

Eilen S.

Yelp
This place is a mood. They have a virtual waitlist and usually if you come before it being your turn - they sit you right away. It's a nice little spot in the neighborhood with the cutest hipster staff. Everyone is friendly and trendy af. I've been here multiple times now and here is my advice: skip the mini donuts - do yourself a favor and get the cinnamon roll pancakes. Warm and gooey and the flavor is just immaculate. The corned beef hash is amazing as well and both of these dishes are perfect to share for a little sweet and savory. I've also gotten the chiliquiles here as well and they were great. We will continue coming here as long as we live nearby :)
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
Management ignored two drunk kids, who were drinking since 8am for 2 hours, continuing to let them curse and yell disturbing other diners. This led to a confrontation which made me feel better. For a place called Jelly, they only gave us one jelly and bo choices. The doughnuts are like munchkins, nothing special. My eggs were undercooked, despite asking for scrambled hard. Parking is also miserable. Not worth the wait either.
google avatar

Soyoung S.

Yelp
The brunch here is wonderful! The eggs Benedict was delicious and I liked how it's served on soft sourdough bread. The hollondaise sauce is amazing and the breakfast potatoes come with sour cream and chives. The blueberry pancakes were great too! The vanilla latte was one of the best I've had! They have a beautiful outdoor space which allowed us to enjoy the falling autumn leaves. The service there is also very nice! I highly recommend and would love to go back.

Yelp
This was by far the worst meal we had in Denver. I ordered corned beef hash which was foul. The corned beef came in long strings like shoe laces; smelled and tasted ungodly sour and was so dry it took forever to chew and the potatoes were burnt on the bottom. My partner got the biscuits and gravy and he said the gravy was actually cold and the middle portion of his biscuit was inedible. Our first clue that this meal was going to be a dumpster fire was when the dishes were bussed to us 5 minutes after ordering (clearly premade and just nuked in a microwave). Both plates were glorified slop. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. This was so unbelievably bad.
google avatar

June F.

Yelp
Love this place! Came for brunch and ate some delicious lavender blueberry pancakes and had the goat cheese and salmon omelette. We shared some of their homemade donut holes. Coffee was delicious and service was wonderful!
google avatar

Sarah T.

Yelp
The food was so good I forgot to grab pictures before digging in! I had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and split an order of the 4 donut holes with my sister, which was a good way to try a few flavors. Pancakes were great, the stack of 2 was plenty for me, I didn't even finish them. I had a vanilla latte too that was tasty. I recommend checking the wait time online before heading over, and putting your name on the waitlist to make your visit even easier.
google avatar

Mallory M.

Yelp
Such a great brunch place!! I went here with my boyfriend for a little brunch on a Sunday morning and we loved it!! I'm not usually a fan of donuts as much, but these donut holes were AMAZING!!! There were so many great options to choose from, but i got the avocado caprese toast and it was sooooo yummy and refreshing. Would 100% go back!
google avatar

Beau S.

Yelp
Great food. Great atmosphere. Our favorite place for brunch in Denver. Amazing food and drinks.
google avatar

Brooklyn W.

Yelp
Yummy traditional breakfast and homemade jelly. It was a busy Sunday brunch when we got there, but went across the street at Hudson Hill for coffee while we were on the waitlist for about 45 minutes! It has a cute retro diner vibe and some donut holes I want to try next time! Btw, the pancakes are large and fluffy but were a bit doughy (not my preference but they did seem cooked through)!
google avatar

Danielle C.

Yelp
Cool neighborhood spot. I was alone so I lucked out and got the last bar seat but the wait seemed long for groups. The Aztec rice hash was really delicious and I got the donuts to go which come in great flavors.
google avatar

Eudora C.

Yelp
I enjoyed my meal and service today! I had the sweet potato hash with coffee, the perfect meal to start off the week. The next time I'm in town I'll be sure to stop in.
google avatar

Bryanna V.

Yelp
This is hands down our favorite brunch spot. The wait to get in tends to be long but is so so worth it. Food always comes out quickly and never fails to be incredible.
google avatar

Rin L.

Yelp
The wait can be stressful and long. But hang in there! The foods are worth it. The donut bites are really interesting with the variety type of flavors from sweet to savory. It was very lively and especially a little bot more crazy during pride parade weekend. A good comforting retro brunch spot. 11/10
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
Great brunch any day of the week. My personal favorite is chilaquiles! The gluten free donuts are also great in every flavor but you gotta try jelly. Awesome staff & cool retro vibes.

Aly H.

Yelp
A few years ago, I delivered postmates to someone from here, and I am finally getting the experience. It did not disappoint! I am a huge fan of mixing unique flavors to make a satisfying texture and scent, and my pancakes fulfilled just that. The decor is fun for the inner child who wants a break from adulting. The cereal boxes around the restaurant bring back the best of memories. Considering how busy it was, the service was respectfully balanced, and I would return for a girls' bunch again. *I ordered the Lavender -blueberry pancakes with chicken sausage and fries. My friends got the cinnamon roll pancake with potatoes*
