"How did it strike you on arrival?Hotel Jen Hong Kong is located in the gentrifying district of Shek Tong Tsui in Hong Kong Island—about three metro stops west of Central. The lobby space is cool and neutral with pops of color. Off to the right, there’s a modern bar where guests can hop on the Wi-Fi and relax with a beer or meet up with friends for afternoon tea. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Positioned as the Shangri-La’s hip younger sister, Hotel Jen attracts remote workers and urbanites who appreciate playful design and up-and-coming neighborhoods. The good stuff: Tell us about your room.Starting at a snug 260 square feet, the wood-paneled rooms are tidy and contemporary. We were drawn to the convenient work station and window seat looking out on the harbor. If you prefer a larger space, upgrade to the 540-square-foot Club Suite. The extra inches mean a walk-in closet, separate living room, and a kitchenette with a microwave and full-size fridge. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The Shangri-La brand bed setup is a Simmons queen mattress, goose down duvet, fluffy pillows and 300-thread-count linens. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase?We loved the convenient "One Bag Laundry" concept—an affordable set price for everything you can fit in the bag. Whatever's in the bag returns the next day washed and folded. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.The standard rooms include a shower, tub and simple white vanity. In the suites, bathrooms that overlook the harbor are equipped with double vanities, a separate bathtub, and a walk-in shower. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Wi-Fi is free as can be. Hotel Jen also provides convenient bedside charging ports and various mobile charging stations around the hotel's common spaces. Room service: Worth it?There’s a short menu for in-room dining covering Western, Malaysian and Singaporean. Just be careful to order within the relatively tight window of 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. daily. Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you.Definitely venture to the rooftop before your stay comes to an end—the lap pool sits parallel to Victoria Harbour on the 29th floor. I have stayed at Hotel Jen many times previously. It is well located right next to HKU MTR station, giving easy quick access to all parts of Hong Kong by underground. It is always my hotel of choice. It has a comfortable feeling about it - not too big, or ostentatious, so you feel you are getting a very personal experience. Many rooms offer a harbour view - much prized. Rooms are modern and clean, beds are comfortable and room service ensures cleanliness. Breakfast is well worth having, offering a buffet to appeal to both asians and westerners, in a relaxed setting. Above all, I cannot speak highly enough of the reception service and manager, Gilbert, who so kindly and patiently helped me solve many problems at check-in, in a calm and relaxed manner. Such excellent personal service will see me return to this hotel without question. By the way, the hotel is excellently located right next to Hong Kong University so if your business is with HKU, this is the go-to place to stay.

we spent four nights in this hotel last month. The room is of reasonable size in HK standard. Clean and good customer service. Even the life guards of at the swimming pool are very courteous. The buffet breakfast is excellent with more than enough varieties of Western, Chinese and S E Asian choices. The crispy fried egg is the best that I have ever tasted. The on- site restaurant serves delicious S E Asian food. No wonder it's so busy on a Saturday night. The location is so convenient that an MTR station is just steps away. We'll stay here again in our next trip to HK.

I stayed at the JEN hotel in Hong Kong when attending an international conference. The JEN hotel is very conveniently located in a lively area with shops, bars and restaurants, and only minutes away from the HKU metro station. The hotel maintains very high standards regarding the rooms: Clean, a well equipped bathroom with an excellent shower and bath, a truly wonderful bed, a small, silent refrigerator, and well equipped desk/working place. The breakfast buffet is excellent. What impressed me most was the remarkable hospitality and kindness of the staff. Just before I was scheduled to be picked up at the hotel by a taxi to the airport, late in the afternoon, I was caught in a heavy rain shower, so I returned to the JEN hotel soaking wet. Without asking for it, the staff offered me the use of a room for two hours, to take a shower and change clothes, free of charge!

It was a pleasant stay! Clean rooms and friendly staff who took great care of us! Location is so convenient. The subway station was just behind the hotel. Mini bus station is right in front of the hotel. One of the best wonton noodle place was also just right across. The gym and the swimming pool were great. My kids loved it. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

Great hotel with great staff. Gym has a nice view of the harbour. The pool is sizeable and good too. The room is a bit small but my brother and I were able to navigate through the room with luggages. The bathroom has a tub so that’s a plus too. It’s 2-3 min walk from HKU station, a bit far from central but away from its hustles and bustles.

We stay for a weekend in Jen Hotel in Hong Kong: it is always nice to be back. The service also this time was great, from the time we checked in (very early morning) to the check-out. The staff is very caring and the always find the way to accommodate our needs, and the location is convenient. The Rooms are always clean. It is a very good choice in HK.

Really nice place to unwind if you came from a busy work life. The MTR right in front of the hotel. Like just a road away and there’s a 7eleven and supermarket right here. Room isn’t super big but for the price you’re paying, it’s worth. If you got a better room, this is the view you will wake up to. The lounge is also super chill, with free flow drinks and snacks within the stated time. Staffs are really friendly and nice as well. Especially Billy. I was pleasantly surprised when he spoke to us in perfect English here and he made the stay so much nicer especially with his smiles and conversations. Conveniently located near the MTR surrounded with plenty of local eateries. Check into a beautiful harbour view room up on the 21st floor with awesome day and night scene. The room is very clean and spacious. Full amenities from ironing board to safe and coffee & tea facilities. I like that the toilet is separated from the shower. Only flaw is that there is no proper towel rack and bidet in them. Front desk Roy is very patient and helpful . Overall, I had a pleasant stay and will definitely recommend this hotel or book when I come yo HK again.
