JEN Singapore Tanglin by Shangri-La

What can we say about this hotel. We're a couple on holiday. Stayed 1 night before going cruising. Nice big hotel, reception area is nice and open, with the main breakfast/dinner dining room within the same area. All open planned. We entered our room on the 8th floor via the many lifts. Very stylish room... Plenty of room around it. Plenty of plugs and a large TV. Plenty of lights around the room depending on where you are etc. Bed was comfy along with the pillows. The bathroom is average sized with a large walk in shower. Water was warm and you also received free shampoo, conditioner and shower gel on the wall in the shower (which are very nice). The receptionist said that on level 2 was a passage to the shopping centre next door and level 4 had the swimming pool. Shopping centre:- large enough centre on multi floors, plenty of shops and restaurants. You also have a Starbucks there too... You will also find a small fresh supermarket there too. There is also a 7-11 outside at the Starbucks. Swimming pool:- WOW what a surprise to have this, large pool with plenty of sun loungers along with a full gym. It's open area pool etc... just surprised to see this type of pool in a hotel in Singapore... We did not use it but looked nice. Breakfast:- buffet style, plenty to eat hot and cold. Mainly Singapore style of food, but also the eggs and also fresh ground coffee machines self serve. The hotel did not have any bag service when you arrived off the taxi, which I missed given it was a 4star hotel. Big question, would I stay here again - YES DEFINITELY.

Everything Was Perfect. The Room Was Very Clean, And The Bed Was So Comfortable. The Staff Were Kind And Always Ready To Help. The Location Was Convenient, And The View Was Beautiful. The Service Was Excellent, And The Amenities Were Very Useful. I Had A Great Stay And Would Definitely Come Again. Highly Recommended! Thank Jesus for his great plan. Amen 🙏🏻

The rooms were modern, spacious, and spotless. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the blackout curtains ensured a great night's sleep. The room also had thoughtful amenities, like a coffee maker, a minibar, and fast Wi-Fi.||The staff was one of the highlights of my stay. I remember names Tyson, Joel and Yana who helped throughout my stay. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They provided great local recommendations and even helped me with a last-minute request for an early check-in.||Overall, this hotel combines convenience with excellent service and comfort. I’d definitely stay here again, whether for business or leisure.

The hotel is modern and clean. The free breakfast was very good. The service was excellent. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. However, the room was a bit small, which is expected of newer city hotels. Housekeeping was on time. The hotel is very conveniently located, closer to the MRT station. The hotel is connected to the Tangling Mall, which hosts a wide variety of restaurants and supermarkets.

My family of ten stayed at this hotel and we had a terrific stay! This hotel in retrospect was such a great choice. I was hesitant at first because it seemed to be in an out of the way location, but we also stayed at a more centrally located hotel on this trip, and would visit the Jen Tanglin again next time as we preferred it by a lot. The hotel is right across the street from the MRT so the whole city was easily accessible. You could also walk to Orchard Rd and the Botanic Gardens. The breakfast is by far the best hotel breakfast I have experienced in Singapore. Rooms were compact- I was afraid from reading reviews that they would be extremely tiny, but it didn’t seem smaller than a typical city hotel room. Also what worked out for us is being a large family group they had a “trio room” which was three twin beds in a room. The hotel is adjacent to a 7 Eleven and a mall with a grocer and pharmacy so that was very convenient. Pool area was nice but the pool is not heated and it was colder than I would have expected so kids did not enjoy it so much. Single sex hot tubs were available in the spa locker rooms. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Hotel is in a nice quiet green section of the city. My only complaint is that you needed your hotel room key to work the elevator and it limited access to your floor so with our family group we could not visit each other in each others’ rooms. I would reserve here without question upon return to Singapore- don’t let the higher Trip Advisor ranking number mislead you!

I had the pleasure of staying at this exceptionally charming and elegant hotel, which boasts beautifully appointed rooms. I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to Ms. Rosselle, the receptionist, whose warm welcome and exceptional hospitality made a lasting impression. She went above and beyond to assist me, demonstrating remarkable kindness and professionalism. The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a wide variety of options. The staff were highly efficient in attending to requests, ensuring prompt service. Their supervisor, Mr. Ben, demonstrated exceptional leadership, ensuring that all aspects of the service ran smoothly.

I am thrilled to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding experience I had at your hotel. The food was truly great, and the staff were exceptional in every way. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful and polite at all times. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was exceptional! The location is very good being opposite an underground station, within walking distance of the botanic gardens and right next to Tanglin mall.
