After seeing their current non-dairy lineup, I specifically saved room for dessert so that I could come back and try Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams. During my visit the vegan options were a raspberry sorbet, a cold brew flavor, Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns, and Texas Sheet Cake. I wanted to try both the caramel pecan and Texas sheet cake flavors so I went for the 2 half scoops in a bowl for $5.
The half scoops were more like full scoops to me, so it was plenty. Both flavors were creamy and decadently rich. The Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns had real pecans and sticky bun pieces. So divine! The Texas Sheet Cake was chocolate ice cream stuffed with fudge and chocolate cake. OMG! Neither of these two flavors were gluten-free and my tummy paid for that, but I have zero regrets. They do clearly list their gluten-free options on both the menu board and the notecards in the frozen cases; they are very descriptive so you'll know exactly what's in each flavor, allowing you to decide accordingly.
You may get your treat in a bowl, regular cone, sugar cone, or waffle cone. The waffle cone is the only non-vegan option of the 3 cones.
It can get really busy here on the weekends, but if you're willing to wait until 10pm, the line has usually fizzled out by then; or come earlier in the day and have dessert before your meal.
Their flavors rotate. I first stopped by a few years ago and they only had a sorbet option for non-dairy. I would definitely return; I just hope that they continue to offer more vegan options.
