First time going 6-12-25 and I have to say the experience was better than I could’ve imagined. It’s almost as though everyone that worked there was in sync and waited/served us. From the cook, to the server and I believe the owner as well all came to serve us and top off our drinks. Our teas never went below mid cup. Now the crawfish was great sized, we ordered their platter which contained 2lbs of crawfish (spicy spice house special level) with corn and 2 potatoes, the flavor was MONEY! Flavorful, spicy, tangy, juicy and it made me thankful I finally considered making the drive to try it. The rice albeit not a huge portion, but filling none the less. It came with a generous amount of shrimp and had a good home style tasting flavor. The gumbo we got was 8oz but fed both my wife and I. All theses dishes came with half cut French baguettes that were toasted, crunchy/crispy and a tasty smear of garlic butter on it perfectly toasted onto the bread. 13/10 would recommend and go again. All in all the total for our drinks and meal was $50.58. Absolutely fair for the food and portion size we got. I’m happy we got to try it.

My family and I stopped by on a Thursday evening, and to our surprise, we were the only ones dining in. Honestly, that shocked me because once I tasted the food, I couldn’t understand why this place isn’t packed every single day. I ordered the catfish platter, and let me tell you it was hands down the best fried catfish I’ve had in a long time. Crispy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The hushpuppies were on another level too, with just the right amount of kick from the bits of jalapeño inside. This spot is a hidden gem, no doubt about it.

We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s hands-down our favorite crawfish restaurant. They serve live crawfish all year round, and the quality is always top notch- never compromised. The food is consistently delicious, the service is amazing, and the owner truly goes above and beyond to make sure every customer leaves happy. If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must-visit. Best crawfish and seafood restaurant out there!

Well seasoned, flavorful food, big crawfish and crab legs. I normally don't trust the dipping sauce but this dipping sauce was delicious. The restaurant is not very big but, not super small either. You are greeted as soon as you walk in and the atmosphere is very welcoming. I believe it was the owner who greeted me and took my order. They work the counter and serve the customers, very nice people. I got 4 pounds of crawfish, crab leg platter, creole fried wings and seasoned fries. There is no sauce choice, they only have one choice but you choose your level of spice and I got medium. The medium was spicy but not over powering. The crawfish was not just seasoned on the outside but the meat was seasoned as well. There was not one mush or overcooked crawfish in the pile as well as the crab legs. The fries were good and they also had a seasoning on top that was good. The fried chicken was delicious...'I love it!! Overall the food is really good and the service is great! I will return to this spot for crawfish when I feel like driving all the way down Westheimer.

Been having great experiences so far this crawfish season. The crawfish here has been high quality, fresh, and cooked to perfection. I recently got to experience their jumbo mix and they were all consistently huge! So worth the upcharge for jumbo size. Just got the snow crab also, they are sold 2 clusters per order. Service has been consistently great, they are very friendly and attentive. Always emptying my shell bowl and refilling my drink. Ambiance, perfect casual environment to enjoy your seafood boil.

BEST SEAFOOD IN HOUSTON!!! The crack sauce is so flavorful and addicting!! The crawfish are always great sizes even if not in season! The owners are the sweetest and I love supporting a good small business! There's plenty of parking available! Service is always top notch and fast even on busy days! It's a fun vibe to watch the games or catch up with friends! It's a guaranteed good time with good food at Jenivi's! I've gotten the boiled shrimp, crawfish, snow crab, pasta, fried fish, French fries, and strawberry lemonade! It is all super fresh and full of so much flavor! You will never leave hungry or disappointed if you eat at Jenivi's!

Me and my girlfriend have been coming here the past few months almost once to twice a week and we can't stop. They are always super welcoming and they have the best crawfish in all of Houston! We have legit tried every crawfish spot in this city and no one else can compare to their quality of seafood. Calamari (1000 of out 10), seasoning (10000 out of 10), blue crab (100000 out of 10), and crawfish (10000000000 out of 10).

The fish was seasoned very well and Also large portions, this place is busy if you're planning to dine in it's best to arrive there early, the seating is limited to about 100 people. Also, you can place an to go order, just expect a 15 - one hour wait time depending on the time of day you dine in or place an order. They have a lot of repeat customers and they should say something about the overall customer experience.

Great service I must say! This place has good seafood Asian style, definitely loved the sauce from the shrimp. Came on a Sunday afternoon for some good seafood and left with a happy stomach.

Food was great! Got the 2lbs of crawfish with potatoes and corn. Added some mushrooms to it as well! Loved the flavor! I got the medium and it was plenty hot! I also added a side of the hot flavor for dipping and that was real hot! Will definitely be back!

Crawfish season is over so I figured I'll get my cravings out of the way until Jan 2025. This is about the time of the year that I stop buying crawfish due to the size and quality. My friend and I arrive at 12 noon and it wasn't busy at all. The place is small but has okay amount of seating, I'll say if you're planning on dinning in, 2-6 people will probably be your best bet. I decided to order their crawfish platter that comes with 2 pounds of crawfish (spicy), 1 corn & 2 potatoes. I also added 1 cluster of snow crab & a sausage as well. My friend got the sausage po boy with French fries. Let's start with the positive. Our food was made to order and the crawfish came out hot and fresh. I can tell that it wasn't frozen. However, flavor wise it was all spicy and no seasoning at all. No old bay or zatarain's or any sort of salt to balance out the heat. The dipping sauce that was provided once again had zero flavor & was very spicy. I requested for some butter because honestly that's all you need when you're eating snow crabs. Now for the crawfish I just wish their sauce had some flavor. Their sausage was the only good item on the platter. One of the potatoes was overcooked and mushy. My friend Cajun sausage po boy was just okay. It was toasted nicely but the sausage itself was no where cajun at all. They drizzle with some sort of sweet sauce which didn't go well with the sandwich. The tartar sauce was bad and tasted low quality and from the bottle. The fries were decent. Overall the food was alright but the server was accommodating & made sure our waters were filled at all times. Also 25.99 for one cluster of snow crabs is ridiculously high. Will I come back? Yes, next time I'll order something different.

We were excited to try this place because we saw it on TikTok, big disappointment! They only had one flavor and it was extremely salty. It was like the whole bottle of salt was pour into our seafood platter. We asked our server if we can get another one with less salt and her response was, we only have one flavor and it's in the boil so no, flavor cannot be substituted. Beware if you have high blood pressure because this is definitely not healthy.

I'm finally making it here after wanting to check this place out forever. I called in my order and went to pick it up. The gentleman that helped me at the register was very friendly and thanked me for my business. Now on to the crawfish... The sizes were medium as they told me over the phone. The Crawfish spices and taste were really good. My only complaint is that the heads were not juicy. It could be a 1 off situation. I did enjoy them and thinking about going back today or at least getting Crawfish from somewhere. I do know that it is very early in the season and the Crawfish are small at some places. I appreciate the honesty when I call to ask the sizes, so that I can make a decision if I want them or not.

Honestly I can't believe I haven't been there before. It was AMAZING! Had some salmon and my husband got the lobster pasta, alligator wings. Was really so so good!!! Good quality and nice staff too- clean

Crawfish was delicious! Our server was very friendly and personable. I got three pounds and added potatoes to my order. The flavor was spicy but also bright and citrusy. It came with extra sauce on the side for dipping. There is not a bar here just beer and wine I believe. They had other options as far as fried or grilled plates but I was just there for the crawfish. I would definitely go back!

Had our valentines lunch here and we were pleased with the service and food! Located in a strip center with a Pizza Hut and a Budget Car Rental. We were quickly seated and ordered drinks and 5 lbs. crawfish split half mild half medium spice levels. My husband had the medium and he normally would have ordered the hot- but he says the medium was plenty spicy and tasty. Waitress came by several times to empty our refuse bowls - I can see why this place was highly recommended. Will return to get the Alaskan king crab legs.

This place is a little hidden gem! Great service and even better seafood. Never too packed. The hours are a bit short and some of the menu items are pricey, but I enjoyed my experience here!

This is my second time eating here. The closing times are a bit early and we got there 20 minutes before close. The waitress seemed to also be the manager and she let us sit if we would order quickly. I tried their Salmon Alfredo. It was a rich sauce and Salmon seasoned well. Everyone else enjoyed their food as well. My friend said the crawfish was spicy.

My goto for seafood boils in a city that has tons of them. Jenivi's is not close to my house, but the huge portions, fresh seafood, great service, and delicious sides (fried rice is A+) make it well worth the drive!

Attitude was not the best toward me and my wife. When I seen another person walk in the attitude totally changed. I'm like ok I see. The creole wings were not it. They don't have a good smell to them. And was cooked to hard. Never going back.

As far as I know, Jenivi's is the originator of Viet-Cajun crawfish in Houston. Someone correct me if they know otherwise, but we have been coming here off and on for years, back before Viet-Cajun got over hyped and when Crawfish at Fiesta was still $0.79/lb. Yes, THAT long ago. With adjustable heat levels, you can get the endorphin rush to-order. The mud bugs are always seasoned impeccably, with garlic, Cajun spices, butter, and OJ in the boil. The owners and staff are always friendly. They even accommodated me when I needed to pick up a large order earlier than usual so I can bring to a celebration of life, where my close friend passed away, and his sons were requesting Viet crawfish. Thank you so much, not only for decades of fantastic food, but being so kind in a moment of need.

It was okay. If you like Vietnamese style crawfish, then this is the place to try. I liked how big the crawfish were in size too. The spice levels were just right. Other items that I ordered: Gumbo: It was okay Hush Puppies: I wasn't a fan of the hush puppies Service was excellent! The lady at the front was very welcoming and social.

I was told this was the best crawfish in town. It did not disappoint. The shrimp and crawfish were fantastic! They were so fresh and tasty I couldn't stop eating. The spice is on the hotter side, so if you don't like spicy, definitely go mild. The staff was great, they seemed to have a lot of repeat business, as they knew people by name. If you like crawfish, you have got to try this place! If you don't like crawfish, you have got to try it... they will turn you!

I would give a 5 star review but they were out of blue crabs. The thing I wanted the most. Other than that...they were delicious. Great portion size. The price was reasonable. You must try the spicy Cajun shrimp pasta. Best seller for a reason. The Cajun shrimp fried rice was also another amazing choice. The spice for everything is just right. Definitely coming back here on my next trip to Houston

One of the best crawfish spots I've ever tried in Houston! I ordered 2 lbs. of crawfish (mild), french fries, potatoes, corn, and garlic butter bread. The fries were cripsy, crawfish was juicy, and the bread was crunchy and packed with butter. Everything was flavorful. The food came out quick and the servers always made sure to check on us! I didn't know about this place until I saw it on TikTok and decided to try it out. I never would've noticed it because it's in a normal plaza. The vibe is very casual - families and other adults were also here and it wasn't too busy. But I'm happy I tried it and gave it a chance!

This is one of my favorite places in Houston to get crawfish. I went yesterday on 3/2 and the crawfish were already a pretty decent size (medium - large). There's only one flavor for crawfish, so you don't have to think too hard. It's like a cajun seasoning but very saucy still. I went on a Thursday around 7 and we got seated immediately. They told us it's been pretty busy on other days though, so expect a wait. If I go here, I'd probably only get the crawfish. My boyfriend got the grilled scallop platter and it was $17 for 8 tiny pieces of scallops, 2 potatoes, and a corn. The taste was good, but it definitely won't fill you up. The owners are really sweet and attentive. She took a picture of us and told us we were a great looking bunch, so I'll keep an eye out for the picture on facebook!

MY FAVORITE crawfish spot to go to for that crawfish crave. One seasoning, your choosing of the spice levels, your add ons, and time to get to work to chow down. The sauce is soooo good. Their other dishes are good as well. I've had their alligator wings, fried calamari, and lobster pasta primavera. I mainly come here for the crawfish.

Built like a small neighborhood Sports bar that serves food. No doubt mom and pop. Went for the Red Snapper or Red Fish . Both 30$ Settled for Cat fish n Shrimp platter with Garlic Bread Very good, fried Mini corn and Fries, tho would have preferred Cajun Rice . Catfish, fries and corn fried well. For me it was tasty. Would have preferred the shrimp be Jumbo and more than 5 for the price. Yet for my first visit I am not disappointed other that not being able to afford the 30$. Mixed crowd, wait to be seated or take out at the bar.

I'm only giving 3 stars as my wife like their seafood gumbo, though the price for their small 12oz portion is expensive; otherwise I would have given a 2 star. I had their fried crawdad tails with fries. The fries were much better than the tails. I tried their cocktail and tartare sauce--not good--with the tails--not good sauces. My grocery store cocktail sauce made them at least edible. It was a slow night at the restaurant , so service for pick up was fine.

I saw this restaurant in a segment on Fox 26. I immediately shared the segment with my husband, we love crawfish...This place did not disappoint!!! I got the mixed size and 99% of them were large. I purchased 5lbs and got corn and potatoes plus another lb of crawfish making 6 lbs! My husband order 5 lbs of jumbo which were mini lobsters!!!! They are seasoned to the Gods and their dipping sauce was bomb.com....Don't forget to order garlic bread for dipping! I didn't take pictures of the food, but they did. So I hope they can add them to this post...Also the service was nice, people very friendly, and the lady I saw on the segment went to every table to see how things were going!!!!

The food that we ordered was excellent! service was outstanding! We had a party of 15 just walked in and they set all together, they made table for us. Food served all at one time, hot and ready to eat. I would give them A GOLD STAR! Enjoyed!

This is my first time at Jenivi's and I am NOT impressed with the overall quality of their food. My boyfriend and I ordered the Fried Oyster PoBoy Sandwich and Crawfish Etouffee Pasta. Oyster Poboy Sandwich - The fried oysters in the sandwich were big and plump. The fries that came with the sandwich were mostly burnt! Crawfish Etouffee Pasta - The sauce was extremely bland, absolutely no flavor at all! My pasta was over cooked, the texture was all mushy! They did give a decent amount of crawfish meat though. It is also worth mentioning that the food took over 30 minutes to arrive. I know they have a sign saying "We are not a fast food restaurant so please be patient" but the food honestly took forever to come to our table. When the food finally did arrive the fries and my pasta were both over cooked. I don't think i'll be coming back to restaurant.

As Jen and Tony always say, I'm my wife's personal Uber Eats driver. We frequent here just about weekly and every single time, the quality is great, crawfish are clean and almost crunchy it seems, and the flavors are steadily on point. As the husband of a wife that can eat fire, I'd suggest you start off with the medium, but you can always substitute the additional sauce for a spicy one if you would like more kick. I'm a huge fan of their sides of which the corn and fried okra are our personal favorites. It does get crowded so if you are dining in, get there early as they do sell out daily. You are always greeted with a smile and rest assured you'll leave satisfied!

This rating is for the crawfish alone. I honestly didn't even want to make this review because this place is so good and I would rather less people know about it so they don't sell out when I want it! I got spicy and it was soo good. The crawfish was great size even for this early in the season. It was so flavorful not just spicy and I loved how they served it with sauce on the side. $23 for 2 pounds of crawfish plus 2 potato and 1 corn. The table also got fried crawfish, fried soft shell crab and this came with fried corn. I didn't like any of them. Pretty tasteless. Fries are also really good! And next time I will try the wings as well.

Next stop on the crawfish tour: Jenivi's Seafood Shoppe This place has always been one of my top go to places crawfish season after crawfish season. The staff is exceptional and the crawfish is bomb!!! Others seem to agree too! I had tried calling in my order since 12PM (when it opened) but kept getting the voicemail or busy tone. Guess a lot of people were craving crawfish today too. My husband got there at 12:15PM and ended up placing the to-go order for us. He said the restaurant was about 1/3-1/2 full. By the time he came back at 12:45PM to pick up the order, the restaurant was packed and people were in line waiting for a table! If that doesn't speak to how good the restaurant is, then I don't know what will. Review time: STAFF: The staff here is simply amazing! They are so nice and friendly and really get to know you especially when you come around often enough. PRICE: $10.99/lb - A little bit on the higher side, but in my opinion, totally worth the premium! Honestly the extra $1-2 compared to all the other places for the amazing flavor = worth it!! FLAVORS: They only have one flavor, but 3 spice levels: mild, medium, spicy. Today I was brave and went with medium - I definitely feel I was able to handle the spice today. But lips were still tingly an hour later, but don't worry they are good now. SIZE: For it being just the beginning of the season, I thought the size was great! The majority of the crawfish were medium-size. There were are only a few small/smedium ones. I swear this place always has the size hookup no matter the time of the year! TASTE/QUALITY: The flavor was amazingggg per usual. The flavor is soaked in the tail, the body and gut! Its hard for me to describe the flavor besides "yummy goodness." It truly is unique and different. I would say the flavor is like Asian Cajun seasoning + garlic butter, but enhanced with a lot of extra something something. And oh, it comes with their dipping sauce. That dipping sauce is just bombbbb! I know this place takes the time to clean their crawfish because 1) yummy guts 2) no dead crawfish 3) no grass/weed particles 4) no random broken heads/tails/claws in the container. The corn, potato, and sausage were also in the same container and were seasoned and cooked well too. I also got an order of fries that were seasoned well and were delicious. RECOMMEND? Of course! Always! Yes yes yes! I will definitely be coming back at least 2 more times this season. Doesn't seem like a lot, but only because I have 5-10 more crawfish places to try out.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and oh boy it did not disappoint! We got there right at opening, good thing too because it fills up quickly. The crawfish was amazing! I love the seasoning and the sauce they give you with it. Besides the food, the people are really nice and come by several times to make sure everything is okay. Service is very welcoming and so friendly! They were so sweet and also helped me pick out things to order we love love love their po boys! Big flakey catfish and perfect bites of Alligator! Comes on a lovely French bread and they have great sauce selections. We also order their crawfish which are very very nice size I might add! I usually get the mild and that tends to be a bit spicy for me but it's doable! It's not the prettiest eatery but the food is great! Wish they didn't close at 8

Watch out for the spiciness of the crawfish. I prefer a certain level of spicy but I didn't saw it coming after I started diving into the crawfish. Located in a small plaza, the crawfish was a pretty good size during their peak season. We got garlic butter and the moment it came out, it was drenched in red spices. There were sausages and corns to accompany the crawfish along with their own custom sauces. Cooked just right, the crawfish were seasoned well and the meat was a good texture. The sizes were mixed with some big, some small. Services were quick and friendly. The inside isn't too spacious but it was crowded during the peak season. Definitely a good spot to check out during crawfish season.

Stopped in one evening, about 2 weeks ago, to grab some crab legs corn and potatoes to go. I love crab legs so this is always exciting. I also love places that have taken plenty of COVID-related precautions. This place is no exception. This was my first time here but from what I understand, they're so popular that they'll often run out of food if it's too late so we called our order in early. The upside is that since the food was all steamed, they waited until we arrived to prepare it - also a plus. They win with customer service. The food, overall, was just okay. It had heat in temperature and spice but the flavor wasn't that detectable which made it a little disappointing. However, I did appreciate the smart packaging. The food came in an aluminum pan instead of the standard plastic boil bags. Maybe I'd try something else on a different day.

I stumbled onto this place and would have never checked it out if I was wasn't walking by. Not located in your typical Asian crawfish locations like Bellaire, instead it's in random shopping center on Westheimer. There is no seating inside, hooray for Covid, so all orders are to go! I would have never gone here had it not been for the 4 stars and reviews I read. A couple said it was the "best" crawfish they had in Houston so I naturally had to try it. I ordered only 2 lbs of crawfish and it came to $22, which is expensive, considering there are so many options for crawfish that are more affordable. The crawfish were a good size, all sized medium to big and they were fresh. The crawfish itself was yummy but the seasoning I disliked. It was salty and the mild was very spicy. I usually get mild wherever I go and can handle it but the mild here was much more on spicer side. There are no choices in flavors, just spice level. I would describe the flavor as just plain cajun but on the saltier side. The sauce on the side it came with, for dipping, was also a disappointment. It was runny and not thick at all, just salty watery cajun taste. No chunks of garlic and buttery base. Overall it was just ok, I finsihed my 2lbs but it's not worth going back for because there are more affordable places with more choices in flavors.

First time at Jenivi's. Was told best crawfish in Houston. I was not disappointed. Staff and manager extremely nice. Started with mild, fantastic. So much flavor, loaded with garlic. Crawfish come with their dipping sauce, wow! Moved up to medium, just right for me. Order some bread to dip in broth on bottom. They have crawfish year round. They pay extra for premium. Many days you can pick from medium, large, or jumbo. Will definitely revisit. They were the best crawfish I've eaten.

The snow crab and Dungeness crab platter are so great! We got medium flavor and it was spicy just like it like it! It opened my sinuses so you know it was good! The sauce they put on the seafood is amazing! The sauce is garlic butter and herb based and it is not sweet at all which is what I prefer. The service was really good and they were really nice. Def 10/10 recommend!

The service was excellent. The whole catfish was cooked right and tasted fresh but could used more seasoning. The fries had slight flavor that may have been due to possibly old oil? Not sure. The garlic bread was great. I got my order to go but there were plenty of tables. I would try it again.

I went to lunch with another friend to see what she thought about the food..she had the crawfish and she couldn't believe how big they were..she absolutely loved the spice..this will be her go to place..the service was great..they are so welcoming..This place is a gem...

Jen and Tony are simply the best. Crawfish, shrimp, crab legs are aways perfect and spicy, best boiled seafood in Houston IMO. Small restaurant so if you come during crawfish season, you will wait for a table but it's well worth it. We have been visiting Jenivi's for years and will always return!

Flavor is everything and this place definitely has it. Spicy just like I like it, with a buttery garlic sauce. I can't wait to go back. If your on the Southwest side of Houston go try this place out.
