Great small campground, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, awesome location, quiet at night, friendly neighbors, saw a bear in the morning, amazing views, showers (9 min for $5, to be purchased at office) one of these campgrounds you wish you could stay longer. Tents only, so no annoying generators at night, etc. Only downside is the relatively small spots.

Super awesome campground in one of America’s greatest national parks! I stayed here for 4 nights a few years back with my family and had a fantastic time. The hiking here is stellar, location is super picturesque, and the wildlife is amazing. One of the days the rangers let us know that a grizzly bear and her cubs were coming through, and they walked right through our campsite! It was a super cool experience, if a bit nerve wracking. I would 100% stay here again if I could get a reservation.

One of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed in! Lots of space and privacy in between campsites. Only one bathroom and two showers for the whole campground. Host was incredibly helpful. Saw a mule deer in our site and countless chipmunks. Bear country and each campsite is equipped with a bear box. We did the 16 mile hike up and back to solitude lake and were quite thankful our campground was so close. Would highly recommend if doing any Jenny Lake hikes!

This is probably the best campground we have ever stayed in at a National Park. The privacy between campsites is great. Its tent only which is also a nice perk. They have clean bathrooms and have showers. This is the best campground! Joe and Jenny (the hosts) treated us like family! They were so helpful. We will definitely be back!

Jenny Lake Campground was a fun experience. I appreciated the privacy between each campsite, as there is ample space separating them. Each site has a parking spot for one car, and the land where you set up the tent is even, which was a nice bonus. They offer showers, which is convenient, although you do have to pay one dollar per minute. The downside is that there aren't many bathrooms; there is only one main bathroom. If your campsite is at the end of the campground, you will have to walk for five to seven minutes or take your car. However, there is no parking lot next to the bathrooms, which can be inconvenient. Other than that, it is a wonderful campground with stunning views of the Tetons. We even saw a coyote hanging out, which added to the fun. Overall, it was a great camping experience.

Google
Beautiful campsite. Sites 44+ gets you mountain views. Most others are forested. Campsite hosts were very friendly and helpful. Very pricey for a solo traveler and you've got to pay for showers on top of that. If they're gonna charge that much and give you the bear lecture (black bears are very active in that area) they should at least put in a dishwashing facility.

Hosts were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms (sink & flush toilet) were clean. Shower was $5 for 8 mins - the going rate. Our site was nice and the camp ground was quiet overall. There was a bear hanging around, but we never saw it.

Google
Beautiful campground with direct view of the grand Teton mountain range. Helpful camp staff and includes drinkable water. There is a boat that runs every ~5-15 mins that you can take across the lake. Recommend taking it in one direction and doing the hike around the lake in the other direction. Hike is 2.5 miles or roughly 1 hour.

Yelp
When I did my weeklong trip to Grand Teton National Park, majority of it I stayed at a hotel in Jackson. At the last minute, I had tacked on an extra day and really wanted to do one night under the stars. So I booked a night here through Recreation.gov. Jenny Lake Campground is a really beautiful campground. The campground hosts were really nice and gave me lots of information about the area. I had limited gear because I flew in and they directed me to a couple spots where I could do some shopping for food and supplies. Jenny Lake Campground is a small 51 site campground that is a few hundred yards from the east shore of Jenny Lake. No trailers, campers, or generators are allowed. It is tent camping only which I loved because it made it so peaceful. Maximum per site is two tents, one vehicle, and six guests for up to seven nights. There are food storage lockers on hand because bear activity is frequent in this campground. I'm a big outdoorsman and really enjoyed my night camping here. It was nice and quiet and I had great views of the Grand Teton mountain range. It did get a little chilly overnight because it was raining when I arrived. But my overall experience was wonderful.

Yelp
One of the best campground I've been to. Great bathroom and showers (actual toilets and sinks, not just an outhouse with hand sanitizer). Road into the campground/between sites was pretty narrow but manageable. Great location and close to everything. Would love to stay here again!

Yelp
OK so this place is heaven on earth. The guest hosts, Joe & Rita were absolutely amazing, and helped us with everything that we needed to feel comfortable. The campsite was absolutely gorgeous. They had a nice smooth out area for your tent. This is a tent only site, so keep that in mind if you have a camper. I would recommend going at the end of May. It gets quite cold at night, so make sure you're prepared this time of year. Absolutely loved the experience. The lake is second to none.

Yelp
If you are looking for grand vistas and a pristine mountain lake then you are in the right campground. This is a tent only joint. So dust off the old Kelty and prepare for a more primitive experience. No generators, no RV's, just tents. This is a very desired campground. Reservations are usually made well in advance. If you're flexible watch for cancelations. That's what we did. So one thing to be aware of is this is an area that is frequented by lots of wildlife. On our visit we saw deer and fox. But bears are around as well. So food must be kept in your vehicle or the provided metal storage box. Dishes are washed in camp and then you dump the dirty water and debris in the toilet. This is though if your are in one of the spots that's away from the single bathroom facility. Phone service is ok to poor to non existent depending on your carrier. I had an ATT phone and Verizon. Verizon is a no go. ATT had service in the campsites near the restroom. Most people (including myself), want to get away from the internet and phones. But if you need to be in contact for work or whatever plan ahead. Finally, this is a prime location in one of the more beautiful spots on earth. Staying here puts you right at the base of the Tetons and within walking distance of the Jenny Lake visitors center. Jackson is 30 min away and Yellowstone is 1.5 hrs or so. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Yelp
Jenny! Jenny! Jenny! This lake is amazing- it's at the very heart of Grand Tetons National Park, along the most picturesque lake, in front of the world's youngest mountains. The visitor center here is fantastic! They have a telescope set up, (but not working since it was daylight) for good views of the night sky. They have a small Native American Indian art exhibit showing a good cross section of various tribes' artwork, and a bit on how they're made with natural products, natural dyes, and how foreigners' detritus ended up being crafted into artworks. The gift shop has a good selection of fun stuff about bears, bison, and elk. They have bear spray here too. No, you don't apply bear spray like mosquito spray... The park rangers were happy to answer all my questions, and give out info. The views here are magnificent. Since you're out in the mountains, the weather is always a bit cooler out here, so dress accordingly. There's a boat dock, but it didn't really look like it was open for the public. Not sure... There's a boat ride you can take that goes most of the time during the year. This is really such a beautiful spot!

Yelp
If you want to get a spot here then you need to get here at 6:00 a.m. otherwise it fills up so quickly. It's a very clean campground with friendly hosts working there. Beautiful spots right next to the lake.

Yelp
Come early to get in line for a camping spot since there is no reservation here. Host is friendly. Campsite is clean and on a raised bed. We got #40 and it was shaded with a view of Grand Teton. There was some construction going on during July/August 2018 and it was a bit loud starting 7AM, otherwise it was peaceful and quiet.

Yelp
We stayed at jenny lake campground last August and loved it. We did our research and showed up at about 5:00am and were the first car in-line, other cars starting lining up around 6am. My husband was able to get a map of the campground and walk around to check out the sites that we might want if they were available since it's a first come first serve even in you're first in line. We ended up picking site 44, which is near the end of the loop, close to the bathrooms, tons of tree coverage, open land behind you and amazing view of the mountains. This campground is perfect if you want to be within walking distance to some of the best trail heads, ranger station, lake, and camp store. You really can't get a better location. A bear did mess with two tents during the afternoon while we were there, so keep food and supplies in the lockers and get bear spray. It's also a short drive to town if you want to grab some food, supplies, or fishing license, etc. I recommend hitting the trails around 6am to avoid crowds and optimal viewing time for wildlife. Camp hosts are friendly.

Yelp
There is no debating that Jenny Lake is well located for most of the best hikes in Grand Teton and that the campsites at this location are more spacious and private than at the other campgrounds at the park. But, these positives are well outweighed by the check-in process and camphost (at least in August 2019) such that Signal Mountain is a preferable option. Here is how the inept check-in process works. To try and get a site, prepare to line up around 7 or 7:30am depending on the day of the week. At 8am, the camp host will appear. But, she will claim to have no clue how many spots are available even though current occupants have either paid for another night or they haven't and have either flipped their occupancy tag to open or they haven't. The camp host will then SLOWLY work her way through the line of cars, refusing to provide useful information to those trying to figure out if it is worth spending another hour in line. Around 9 o'clock, the camp host will magically know exactly how many spots she had from the get go, incidentally having carried just the right number camp spot tags with her all along. To those out of luck, the camp host will make a series of sem-snide remarks from which one might infer that she took pleasure in watching you needless wait in line for over an hour when she could have just counted the number of free spots in the campground, counted the number of cars in line, and told everyone who couldn't get a spot to turn around at 8am. But, hey, that would take a little brain power and thoughtfulness.... To sum it up, if you want to spend two hours in line to maybe get a spot at the modestly better Jenny Lake Campground, be my guest. Alternatively, in those two hours, you could go up the road a little bit, snag a site at Signal Mountain (potentially with a view of Jackson Lake), pitch your tent, and get to the trailhead. But, if your heart is really set on Jenny Lake, when you get there between 7 and 7:30, do yourself a favor and go walk around the campsite, count the sites with an "open" tag on them, count the number of cars in line, and rely on the camp host for nothing as she is either too lazy, inept, or power hungry to do her job well.
