Google
This is insanely good. The mountains just outside the windows, the Dinning Room at Jenny Lake held spectacular menus each night of our stay. We were really impressed by the staff who were always willing to work with us, and provided top notch service. The food was incredible, and each night provided a great assortment of tastes. The rotating menu is great. We also got to see a bear from the window! I’m super excited to come back and try new foods here. Awesome experience!

Google
Not sure why a few poor reviews unless they recently got a new chef. Our food was great 2 nights in a row. Loved our waiter Brady as well and the hostess Abby was really great. Cool mellow vibe in the room. All courses both nights were interesting and delicious. Make reservations.

Google
Extremely over priced. The food was abysmal. The service was excellent and it is unfortunate to the wait staff, they need to present such an upscale front on such a dismal experience and culinary presentation. This "new chef" needs to be replaced, and it pains me to say that as I know it sounds cruel. But, paying over 200pp - this missed every mark on the food front. From the terrible amuse bouche to the flavorless entrée to the painful dessert composition - it truly was a disappointment. Highly not recommended.

Google
This restaurant is well worth it. They use local ingredients when possible, the service is great, and everything is delicious. The pastries in particular were outstanding, and the entire experience is just well tailored to the tetons.

Google
Very nice dining in the middle of no where. Very good service and fine food. They serve Jackson Hole soda. Highly recommend!

Google
It was the worst 5 course dinner meal we’ve ever had! The appetizer we order was not even a bite size, and the braised wagyu beef was not better than roast beef you get at some fast food restaurants!! I would never go back to that place!! They charged over $120 for dinner, which I thought wasn’t worth $50 at the best!! Service was horrible! Nick, our bread guy, was the best part of the meal! He was the only attentive person in the entire restaurant!!

Mariana Maslovska

Google
Atmosphere was relaxing and food delicious (definitely our breakfast place for every morning in the park). Stuff was skilled and super nice. Love small details they have❤️.

Google
Went here for dinner and each meal was $120 per person (set price not including drinks) and it was so worth it. It is a 5 course meal. Each course has a few options to choose from. The chef has a rotating menu that focuses on locally sourced items and each thing we tried was delicious! Make sure to get a reservation!

Yelp
Dining was part of our stay at Jenny Lake Lodge. Counter to the complete roughing-it experience of the log cabins, we had 5-course gourmet meals nightly. This high class dining experience was such a contrast to being in the middle of the woods without cell service or TV. But it works. Dinner service is impeccable. Food is delectable. There isn't anything bad to say about this experience. We all loved our Jenny Lake Lodge week and would do it again. Hands down. 5 stars without hesitation

Yelp
While I was not a guest at Jenny Lake Lodge, I still made a reservation to dine at the lodge for lunch during one of the days I was in Grand Teton National Park. After hiking to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point, I continued on to Jenny Lake Lodge and arrived just in time for my 12:30pm reservation. Upon my arrival, my cell phone was nearly dead and I had forgotten my portable charger. The lovely staff at the lodge graciously accommodated my inquiry if they had a spare charger. Once seated in the dining room, my server, Cam, was attentive and friendly and gave me a great recommendation to try the Elk Burger. The burger was cooked to my request and the meal was relaxing! The lodge just has something about it and the view out the window was just so calming! I would love to stay at Jenny Lake Lodge in the future but, in the meantime, my pleasant lunch experience will have to suffice! It was nice to hang out in the lodge for a little while before starting my walk back to the Jenny Lake parking area.

Yelp
We decided to eat here for one of our nights while at the Grand Tetons. The setting cannot be beat. The backdrop of the Tetons was gorgeous and the night we ate, we say plenty of wildlife outside the window while dining. The food itself is pretty high end considering you are in a National park. The portions are just right with a 5 course menu. The appetizer, salas and soup were smaller and the entree was relatively large. We were quite full after dessert. The service was ok. It was friendly, but inconsistent. I cancelled my second glass of wine because it took a bit and didn't want to have it beyond my entree. And would have been nice if they offered us some more bread while we were still having soup/salad vs after. Either way, I would definitely recommend dining here!

Mark G.

Yelp
Super nice servers. The will bend over backwards to make sure your treated right and have the correct item(s) you ordered. The surroundings were fantastic as they have large windows to view the wildlife and such. The noise in the restaurant was very low and very enjoyable. The only bad thing I encountered was wanting the prime rib at lunch time and they did not offer it during lunch. I settled for a salad and a large bowl of chili. Both were very good. Thank you for the great vacation memories.

Heather C.

Yelp
Nice quiet atmosphere with a view of the resort/field. Good selection of items. Had the elk burger which was cooked to perfection. A little pricey for what you get.

Dang L.

Yelp
Decent food. Bison burger: 5 stars. Best bison burger we have yet tasted. Chips was a nice side. Beef burger: 4 stars. Your average burgers. Fries were crunchy. Mediterranean salad: 2 stars. Need more salad to balance out the saltiness of artichoke, olives, and meats. Also the salmon we order was over half raw. When I eat my salmon, I do t want it raw unless I am eating sashimi grade. Ended up sending the half back to the kitchen and when it came back it was still somewhat raw. Very disappointed.

Keba B.

Yelp
Spent 7 days in Yellowstone & Grand Rapids. We hit the jackpot at Jenny Lake Lodge. For lunch , We had trout sandwich & Flatbread steak. Both were exceptional. Very upscale restaurant for GTNP area. Jenny Lodge is so restful.

Amy M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch with a view! Service was also spectacular. I got the tempura trout which was prepared perfectly along with a side of yummy vegetable soup that was not overly salted (this seems to always be the case when I get soup out anymore).

Bill T.

Yelp
Came here for our second visit. Once again excellent experience . This is my wife's "happy place". The employees are so nice, helpful and professional. The food is amazing. They rotate ?5 different menu's, 5 courses but with 2-4 options with each course--glad we could share. They will bend a bit if you just want to try a bit of something in addition to your choices. Standouts we will remember for at least a year! are: Wagu filet, Lamb stew (soup), Lobster pasta, venison Wellington. Aso very good were the : Foie Gras, french onion soup, Wagu skirt app, and salads and of course desserts. We brought our own bottle of wine--no corkage fee if you are staying there. They also make a nice Huckleberry mule and Old fashion. Breakfast is sit down and order but all you can eat-lot's of options-anything on the menu. Hope to return

Alice Z.

Yelp
Didn't stay at Jenny lake but came for dinner and was not disappointed. This might be the best national park restaurant I've ever had. $115 per person, but worth it for a 5 course meal. I tried scallops, burrata salad, corn soup, fish, and banana foster for dessert. Everything was delicious- I could not believe how fresh and well seasoned it was given the remote location. Service is superb

Alice G.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE the Jenny Lake Lodge restaurant! If you are staying at the Lodge, breakfast and dinner are included. Breakfast is made to order, but you can order everything on the menu! For dinner, it is always a 6 course menu, and it changes every night! I personally love the fact that there is a dress code and I wish they would reinforce it, because dressing up is a sign of respect, IMO. Totally recommend eating here! And we come back every year!

May B.

Yelp
We had the five course meal for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Every plate being better than the last. My kids loved it and said they loved it too. They were very nice here. Great service!!! Very cozy ambience. We left so happy! Pricey but worth every penny!!!

Yelp
Friday September 1 Breakfast is a hard pass Dinner Good: -Smoked Duck -Tony and Christopher's service - Wisconsin Cheese Soup - Lobster Pasta - Salad with tuna Bad - Wagu, fatty, no flavor over rated Better service and food Thursday August 31 Dinner Good - pork belly Average - fillet - chocolate ice cream - service was disappointing/25 minutes between salad and main course Bad - Meatballs were cold - fries were ice cold - salad no flavor - soups were eh - drinks (small pour) - chocolate mouse Net:net the total experience was not very good or memorable for a price fixe we were stuck. The waiter was good in the beginning then blew us off.

Yelp
jenny lake lodge is a restaurant where you pay a set price, and get a five course meal. the menu changes either daily or weekly, so keep in mind that the food i mention in my review might not be on the menu when you come to dine here. the building is beautiful, it looks like a log cabin with windows to see out into a little meadow. Shelby was our server, she was so nice and funny, knowledgeable about the menu, and accommodating. she let us order as many desserts as we wanted (we thought it was one per person) so that was a great treat. substitutions were also allowed which surprised me. it was my parents anniversary, so we got (i think) 15% off the bill! how sweet! the only con i would note shout out experience is the lack of (good) vegetarian options. i eat mostly vegetarian and also eat fish, so i had a bit more options, but a vegetarian might be less satisfied than i was. a tofu appetizer might be better than the beets? i started with the beet appetizer with goat cheese, it was yummy but slightly less exciting than what my meat-eating family members received. then the soups came, mushroom miso and tomato and fennel. both were great. the mushroom miso might have actually been my favorite part. it was a bit spicy, which i liked. the salads were the only part of the meal i felt meh about, but i don't care too much for salads in general lol. it wasn't bad, just not fabulous. i really enjoyed my trout. super flavorful! my brother loved his elk stake. my mom ordered the only vegetarian entree, a burrata pasta, which was good but not as great as everyone else's entree. desserts were so good, i got the cheese board and a couple of the s'mores fudges, and a couple of the fruity cake things and some chocolate chip cookies. all were super good. insanely expensive... but a great experience for sure. not sure if i would come back just because of the price, but maybe one day when i have the money to treat myself again! thanks jenny lake lodge!

Yelp
What a nice experience. We stayed in a cabin for three nights so had breakfast and dinner there each day. Just know this is not a moderately priced deal but if you stay there dinner and breakfast are included in your cabin cost. Breakfast options range from lighter fare to a full eggs and meat meal. Dinner is a five course meal. Our service was always good. You do need reservations for sure. While you wait have a drink out on the front porch looking right at Cascade and Paintbrush which are unreal. In our opinion JLL is better ran than the park options up in Yellowstone which are all Xanterra operated. I hope we get to return to JLL in the future.

Phillip S.

Yelp
Service was very good! The food however was okay since the portions were small. I was disappointed with the bowl of soup which was half the level of the bowl so it seemed more like a cup of soup.

Joshua C.

Yelp
High end cuisine located in Grand Teton National Parks. Eloquent 5 course dinner cuisine with a price of 115 dollars per person for both Adults and Children. Our family enjoyed the food and it took us around 2 hours to complete.

James L.

Yelp
My family and I had lunch there in June. The food was delicious and the scenery outside the Lodge and view were amazing!

Jack S.

Yelp
This was simply the best; Monte Carlo, Paris, New York SFran included. The service was articulate in presentation and personable.

Yelp
A nice dinning experience in a remote area. I have to say I was expecting this place to wow me given it's a 5 course meal for $94 per person. Also they mention that you need to wear a jacket or collared shirt. I would recommend you stick with colored shirt given you are in a National park and a formal jacket is waste of your car space. Also most of the people there had only a collared shirt and maybe three men (me included) had a jacket. I stared with the wagyu appetizers and it was my favorite out of the other four choices I had. The second dish was a soup and I went with the vegan onion soup at least that what it tasted (don't remember the actual name) it was good. The third dish was an average salad and I thought the portion was a bit small. For my main dish I went with the trout and I thought it was very average which is why I'm rating this place a 4 stars. It lacked richness in taste although was presented nicely. Finally I went with the huckleberry cake which was good. The service was amazing though. My wife really loved the duck as the fourth dish and thought it was amazing so you might want to choose that if you get the chance. Also she went with the crab for the first dish which was also good. Overall a nice fine dinning experience to have in the middle of grand Tetons National park.

Yelp
We are now 40 mins after our reservation with four kids under 11 and still not seated. What's the point of making a reservation if they can't seat you? We could have gone out to dinner or gone somewhere else but this special dinner is included in our expensive reservation. Pathetic service at a premium cost. Our first night the food was good. Second night, worse than mediocre. Our reservation was for 7:45 we were seated around 8:30. The bread service was stale and dry and the pallet cleanser was almost inedible. The appetizers were ok. A member of our group ordered a sparkling wine and received a rose instead. There was only enough soup of the day for 2 people even though we ordered four. Query whether the 40 minute delay before we got seated contributed to the hard bread and lack of soup. The salads were mediocre. The bison short ribs entree was around a three out of ten. It was very fatty and not juicy at all. The polenta and Brussels sides were ok but the meat was dry. Our waiter described as a "falling of the bone" but it was a small 3 inch the patty with a dry bone one top. They clearly just threw a random bone on the plate. With respect to dessert the cookies were warm, but just okay. The ice cream was good. Update: dinner in our third night was good BUT they still ran 40 minutes behind. The wait staff was good. I'm updating this from 1 star to 2.

Yelp
Most patrons are staying at the lodge but they are open for individual reservations. Intimate setting in log cabin lodge with stunning view of the Tetons. Several nights per week they have a classical guitarist performing in the lobby where you can sit and enjoy with a pre-dinner drink. The 5 course prix-fixe dinner is the way to go. Here is what we enjoyed but it changes each night: Amouse Bouche - blueberry & almond Appetizer - Parsnip risotto Salad - Jenny Lake signature. Soup - Golden beet Entree - herb roasted rack of lamb Dessert - Grand Mariner compressed watermelon They basically have two seatings 6 - 6:30 then 7:30 - 8:00. The flow is perfect, the waitstaff works together to whisk away one course then bring another. Not rushed but timely with ample but not oversized portions giving you the desire for the complete meal. There are 4 selections for each course except 2 for soup.

Yelp
My husband and I had a fine dining lunch here while visiting Jenny Lake. The lodge is beautiful with oil paintings and white table linen. The service was excellent. I had the mushroom burger with mint & cucumber quinoa salad, and my husband had the bison burger with frites. While I enjoyed my burger, I think a sauce would add more to it. It was a little bland since I didn't add any condiments to it. Quinoa salad also on bland side. My husband seemed to enjoy his meal, so overall, a pleasant meal in a great environment.

Yelp
This restaurant wouldn't survive in a city with any sort of good dining options. We sat just one table off the windows but didn't have a view at all which was disappointing as that's a big reason to eat there and I expected much better view. You have to order wisely as several options aren't great. The game was overcooked and pasta undercooked. Our server was obviously new and inexperienced, forgot our drinks and never gave us our bread. Our experience started off on the wrong foot given they never took our drink order while we waited, even though I made eye contact with the bartender going around the lounge and she waited on a couple who just got there. I don't have a problem paying $115 for a good meal (or even an average meal with a great view/experience) but would suggest just skipping this.

Scott G.

Yelp
My wife and I were really looking forward to an exceptional evening of fine dining at Jenny Lake Lodge. What we got was just fine, but not Fine Dining. While the atmosphere is definitely charming and rustic, the dining experience overall was just mediocre. The service was relaxed (sometimes a bit too relaxed) and the food - a five course price fixe menu - was fair to good, but never rose to the level of delicious. I had the Chicken Satay as my appetizer - the chicken "chunks" were tender and moist but the sauce tasted like someone opened a can of Skippy Peanut Butter and poured it over the top. The Curry Soup was actually dreadful and tasted like someone just dumped some raw curry powder in a stock of coconut milk and chicken broth. The signature "Jenny Lake Salad" was a ring of two-day old assorted wilted lettuces ringed around a "Lake" of cloyingly sweet dressing. It was old and uninspiring. I selected the Duck Breast as my main course, and it is the first time in my dining career that I was not able to finish a piece of duck breast - it was so tough that I don't think a light saber could get through it - so I just gave up. The finale was the "Clump of Cheesecake" served with a berry sauce so sweet it would send a healthy person into a diabetic coma. To make matters worse (and yes, it could get worse), the wine list was uninspired and anemic. It was evidently curated by someone who seemed more interested in offering a small selection of wines that appealed to their own palate instead of finding wines that would thoughtfully pair with the menu - so we passed on ordering any wine with dinner (a very rare situation for us). All in all, we found the setting delightful but the dining experience challenging. If you're going for "Fine Dining" be aware that you will be fortunate if it is "Just Fine."

Yelp
While in Grand Teton National Park, we stopped here for lunch. Actually, we planned the trip such that we land up here during lunchtime! We started off with a bowl of Clam Chowder Soup and a side of fries. Their Pan-seared Trout was just a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The server was slow and confused. It took them 45 min to get us our food and there weren't many people either. And because the Trout was so awesome, we wanted to order another one but their kitchen was already closed. At 1:30PM.

Destinys B.

Yelp
We stayed for 3 nights here at Jenny Lake Lodge and it was amazing! Dinner was included as well as breakfast! I think I gained 20 pounds in 3 days. The breakfasts were amazing (try the huckleberry pancakes) Dinner menu was different every night and did not disappoint. We got so luck as they did an add on from the menu our final night. Rack of lamb!! Was spectacular. Service was warm and inviting. everyone from the servers to their assistance made it a memorable experience each evening. They also gave you a little taster treat when you go there- we got to try things we have never tried before.

Mike B.

Yelp
I have stayed at Jenny Lake Lodge multiple times in the past and was delighted to learn there was a late seating to the general public while visiting. I was sad that the quality just was not there this time round. I watched the faces of other diners who also had some of the entrees we had ordered with the same response. The scallops smelled so bad that we exchanged them for another appetizer. Neither the server or his assistant had picked up the scallop plate. The smell was so strong you could not even enjoy your next two courses on the prix fixe menu until they were eventually bussed. That type of cuisine will not sustain the business given the clientele who seek out JLL. The desert however, was excellent, yet a $400 bill with wine and gratuity for two should come with a far better guest experience

Ellen E.

Yelp
We were out hiking and making pictures and stopped for breakfast. It's a set price of $30 but you can order anything. The menu is robust and the food and service was over the top fabulous. We had coffee, juice, eggs Benedict, French toast and DO NOT MISS their home made banana bread. The staff was exceptional. We talked a bit and were camping so when we were done she offered two pieces of banana bread for tomorrow AWESOME setting and fabulous breakfast worth every dollar.

Alaini D.

Yelp
When we first arrived at the Lodge the setting of the area was very nice, music playing and a lit fireplace. After we were seated our opinions quickly changed. Our waiter came up to us and ineffectually explained the menu. He couldn't pronounce half of the things on the menu and misguided us when explaining what was in the meals. After we finally decided what to eat and began ordering, he said he forgot to tell us that this is a 5 course meal and you have to pick one item from each section. No where was this stated on the menu or in any descriptions, so this was obviously his mistake. We quickly decided while he was impatiently waiting in front of us. After one of our members ordered a beer, it took him two reminders about it before he finally got it, the second one he ordered never even came and when reminded at the very end of the meals had the audacity to ask if he would still like it when we were about to leave. Nor any of our other drinks were refilled or even offered to be refilled. Now onto the food, the starters and soup were good, small portions though is expected. My favorite part about the whole meal was the one signal drop of the chefs muse. My final entrée was the fish, this was far from tasteful and in my opinion was bland. I heard the other tables behind us also talk about how their final entrée was plain. Our table got the 'warm' cookies and ice cream for dessert, the cookies were slightly warmed and the ice cream portion was a single bite, until we looked over at the other tables who had somehow gotten a full cup of ice cream with their cookies (??). I am giving this restaurant one star mainly because of the service and price. When your waiter acts like he just walked into the door and started waiting on tables the experience becomes less enjoyable. If my meal is 400$ I expect the service to be of that standard as well.

Yelp
A Diamond in the Rough Wonder of wonders, miracle of miracles, Jenny Lake Lodge appeared like a warm culinary oasis in the wilderness. That's an elk shaped napkin holder, moose shaped butter, mixed berries with crème fraîche (yes!), and sparkling wine. Lemon cured smoked salmon, crispy shellfish Benedict, house corned buffalo hash, and browned butter pecan sticky bun. Thank you, Chef Clark Myers. Thoroughly enjoyable and very nearly perfect, but at $26 prix fixe, a phenomenal value. Personable and professional service.

Sara C.

Yelp
Our server Sarah was outstanding. And the rustic fine dining atmosphere was nice. But I was only moderately impressed with the food. I liked the variety of the options, and presentation was nice, but the dishes had inconsistencies. My husband's pork cheek entree was tender and delicious. But it was served with a relatively bland foie gras bread pudding and half of a plum oddly on the side. Several dishes came with cilantro. Maybe this is just my pet peeve, but whenever a dish has a strong polarizing ingredient like that, I think it should be listed, especially if it's in a dish you wouldn't typically expect cilantro to appear in. (Meanwhile, they would list benign ingredients like parsley). Also found it a bit strange that they featured so many non local ingredients. Are they really known for octopus? The standout dish to me was the artichoke heart entree. Truly delicious. And the homemade focaccia bread was pretty good. Dessert portions were tiny. And while I appreciate not walking away stuffed, it could have been slightly more generous.

Betsy D.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to be invited to dinner by my friends who were visiting from out of town. They always stay for a week at JLL, and I can see why. The lodge is in the heart of the park, rustic and remote. And yet the dinner was anything but rustic. We had a full meal , and every aspect of the meal was delicious!

michael p.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch since there are not a lot of options once you're in that area of the park. I believe they were only open for 2 hours during lunch which was funny because we arrived around noon and they were still setting up tables for customers. The hostess got us to a table after about 5 minutes. We ordered a croissant ham and cheese sandwich and a chicken ciabatta sandwich. Both were very good. Service was good. Cost was $30 including tip which considering were inside a national park is what I would expect to pay. Overall a very good experience and the atmosphere was more upscale than we expected. Considering all of the clientele is wearing hiking attire it was a little bit odd.

Yelp
Jenny Lake Lodge dining room is wonderful from start to finish. We are lifelong national parks visitors, and this is truly the dining gem of the parks. To the extent that Xanterra has brought terrible food and mediocre service to the national parks, Jenny Lake Lodge dining room has done the exact opposite. Fantastic food and wonderful service. You were servo will know your name and that you will know his or hers and where he or she is from... that's a conversation starter. But the food is really what shines here; just happens to be coupled with exquisite views of the Teton mountains and wonderful service. Having sampled all five of the rotating menus here, we recommend one of everything! Try the scallop appetizer--with a different preparation each evening--sometimes as a sushi starter and other ttimes in an Indian inspired marsala sauce. The other appetizer we highly recommend is the pork terrine...if you are lucky enough to dine on a night when it is offered. The soups here are spectacular as a second course. I always say that the soup is the 'unsung hero' of a restaurant menu, and thar is especially true here at Jenny Lake Lodge. We had a parsnip cream soup with cocoa nibs that was to die for, and a lamb broth consommé that was light and delicious. Foe your next course, have the salad of the day, which rotates and is always great! For entrées, everything they do with chicken or fish is wonderful, all with creative and palate pleasing sides. The nightstand option is reliably delicious. My wagyu strip loin was perfectly prepared, with fantastic accompaniments. And don't forget dessert; especially the chocolate torte, or the chocolate chip cookies accompanied by any ons of the half dozen ice creams on the menu. Have children and/or picky eaters in your group? We sure do--but not to worry!! Order a large fruit cup to cover the first and second course, and a plate of plain greens for the salad course. For entrées they will do plain chicken or steak. And chocolate chip cookies with ice cream for dessert--your child/picky eater is happy!!! The wine list here is well chosen, and the cocktails are great also! My favorite cocktail is the Fitzgerald. Speaking of which--enjoy the 1920's-49's music you'll hear playing in the background over dinner. And notice your beautiful surroundings inside this historic lodge! And lastly, DON'T miss breakfast here. There are at least a dozen great choices. (Hint: huevos bean cake or French toast). You will feel well fed and energized for all those outdoor activities all day!!! Jenny Lake Lodge dining room is a wonderful, happy place with a rich history. We hope to return many more times!

Yelp
The food was amazing. We had just hiked the Avalanche Lake trail after waiting for and riding the shuttle, which meant we hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was pushing 6. We started with a game meats tray and a hummus plate. They were all gobbled up in minutes. Then we moved on to the 1/2 Lb burgers for three of us and a great vegan meal for my son and beautiful pasta with chicken dish for my daughter. For dessert it was a delicious huckleberry pie. Oh and the huckleberry margarita was also a welcome libation. Add excellent service from Darvey and it was the perfect meal. Afterward make sure to walk out into the dock and soak in the scenery. You won't want to leave!

David L.

Yelp
The setting, view and ambience are amazing. The food was good, but has slipped since our previous visit in 2016, when it was outstanding. The service was attentive, but a bit overly dramatic and chatty, as opposed to typical fine dining establishments. The bottom line is that Jenny Lake Lodge is still an amazing place, but not a foodie destination this year.

Dawn M.

Yelp
This is an unbelievable restaurant! The server Andrew from Florida is beyond phenomenal! In detail he described every single option on the menu. He truly added to the dining experience. I would definitely request him if you are able.

Yingying L.

Yelp
Our best dining experience in Yellowstone area! We had trout and chicken entrees for lunch, both were tender, so delicious and not expensive. The dining place are quite with beautiful decorations. The service is fast and friendly. Reservation is required.

Tim H.

Yelp
The Jenny Lake Lodge is fantastic in many respects, and due to the price, we had pretty high expectations going in. The location is unbeatable, the views are memorable, and the cabins are comfortable. The food was fantastic, though the service was the one big disappointment that we experienced. It took three requests and 25 minutes simply to get a glass of wine while waiting for dinner. (Although we had a reservation, no tables were available, so we had to wait for the next table.) We were told that the table was being cleaned. We shouldn't have turned our backs, because the table was given to another couple that arrived after us. The hostess said that they had to give priority to lodging guests (which we WERE!). The hospitality staff was flustered and disorganized. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day, but it was our first impression, and the experience started the stay off on a sour note. To set your expectations appropriately, I would expect outstanding location, great views, inexperienced and disorganized hospitality staff, basic but comfortable cabins, and fantastic food. At least that was our experience. We'd probably still stay there again, but would lower our expectations a bit.

Yelp
We enjoy going to any of the Lodge dining rooms while visiting the park especially this one. The food is superb and the service always goes beyond as the young people in these positions are so pleasant and eager to be friendly. The menu is varied and you should be able to find a likable dish anytime you visit. Take time to sit and enjoy the fire if you visit when the weather is cool. The ambiance is remarkable.

Yelp
Fantastic food. Unlike anything else you'd get in a national park. Scallop and lamb appetizers were great. Turnip soup was good, as was the signature beer and cheese soup. Korean BBQ tri tip was amazing. For breakfast, the single best waffle known to mankind!!!! Seriously. They crystallize real maple syrup and add it to the batter! Like any high end restaurant, portions are not large, but breakfast is price fixe and you can keep ordering. Very good. Seeing deer as we walked from our cabin to the restaurant daily was a nice treat. Meat MUST be fresh.

Yelp
I left Yellowstone early one morning and stopped at Jenny Lake Lodge for breakfast. I was shown to a table after a short wait during which I enjoyed the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. The atmosphere in the lodge is great - comfortable, old Western feelings. The breakfast is fixed-price - $23 for all you can eat of anything/everything on the extensive menu. I didn't eat everything but what I had was very nicely prepared - really, better than in most restaurants in Seattle - and nicely presented. The wait staff were welcoming, attentive, and helpful. And the setting is breathtaking - really! - even though I wasn't at a window table. That, combined with good food, makes a fine way to start the day.

Yelp
So, as mentioned in another of my reviews, eating in the National Parks can be chancy at best. Well, Jenny Lake Lodge Dining Room does NOT fit that pattern at all! After several days of Park travel and picnic lunches, we took a chance on a "real" lunch at Jenny Lake, and boy were we rewarded! We had excellent service and excellent food. The menu has a nice variety of sandwiches, burgers, and salads for lunch, as well as the highly recommended trout. We had a collection of soup, salad, and the daily special. Everything was just excellent. My soup had a wonderful, velvety texture and the flavor was intense and wonderful. The ingredients here are absolutely top quality, and the care the kitchen staff puts into the food is obvious on every plate. The setting here is just lovely; the Lodge is in the classic old park log building style, with low ceilings and wood floors. The Dining Room has nice big windows to give you a sweet view of the beautiful Jenny Lake area of the Grand Tetons National Park. You feel surrounded by lush, rich green forest. We had a wonderful afternoon here, and are making plans to come back.

Yelp
My husband and I had lunch here this past summer. Our server was wonderful and the chef's specials that day were outstanding! We both started with Beet Soup. I had a House Salad with Pork-belly dressed with a house made Sweet Basil Vinaigrette, my husband had a Chicken Panini with Sweet Potato Fries. I dream about going back to this hidden gem. We finished our afternoon hiking around the lake. We will go back in the very near future!!!

Yelp
Went with friends for dinner and was told a training ground for the Culinary Institute. Menu changes daily. Entree includes salad, soup and dessert. I had potato Augratin. Think fingerling potato peeled and cut into 2 pieces resembling large scallops. The salads were a "normal" spring mix wirh craisins, nuts and champange vinegrette or breaded deep fried avocado with arugula and oranges. The soup choices were a creamy garlic (yum) or creamed asparagus. For dinner I had the special- hand rubbed pork that was very good. Portions were on the small side but the dishes were wonderfully prepared, beautifully plated and the service was spectacular. If you are a foodie you need to go here for dinner.

Yelp
3.5 stars for food. 4.5 stars for service. Had lunch. Food- - Egg frittata. Very big order. Good. - Bison burger with mushrooms & caramelized onion. Was dry with minimal mushrooms. Buns were good, but burger was...meh - huckleberry lemonade was good. Service was excellent. Food was fast & hot. Warm & cozy dining room.
