Jenny Lake Lodge

"In a "terrific setting away from the crowds," this 1920s lodge surrounded by pines has views of the Grand Tetons that are "to die for." Freestanding log cabins tucked in the woods are "quaint and comfy," with handmade comforters and log walls. Look forward to "wonderful food" in the dining room—breakfast and dinner are included, the latter consisting of a rotating menu of items like local Wyoming buffalo carpaccio and garlic-marinated pheasant breast. "The setting is as good as the meal." Guests can spot bears, moose, elk, and more in the environs, which include three glacial lakes."

Jenny Lake Lodge is truly a special place in the middle of Teton. The cabins were lovely; the views amazing; and the porches, linens, and bathrobes a plus. The breakfast is absolutely divine and quite generous! Additionally, the view from the main porch at the lodge is an extraordinary place to take in a sunset with a pre-dinner drink. The dinner was absolutely incredible- especially considering you are in the middle of a national park. It was a treat to end the day there and an absolutely magical experience. We had outstanding service by both Emma and Lilli. We also loved the astronomy/star gazing at night (Sierra was also impressive and knowledgeable) and the horseback riding a joy. All in all, absolutely worth the splurge!

There are many great things about Jenny Lake Lodge and reasons to stay there. There are also a few things to note and expect if you plan to stay to make sure you understand what you are getting for your money.||The location is amazing, and its right in the middle of the park. So if you want to get an early start on hitting up some of the parks hiking trails or scenic spots, its very easy to get up early and do that. The cabins are clean and comfortable, and the property has a very quiet/peaceful setting. Staff are all very polite, and obviously trained in hospitality. ||One miss is the price, where I don't feel you get the value for what you are paying. The rate includes breakfast and dinner, bike use, and horseback riding. The dinners and breakfasts are good, but not memorable. The lodge also provides you with a bill (even though its included) so you can see how much to tip. So for two people are breakfast was $80 ($16+ tip) and dinner was almost $300 ($60+ tip) you have to decide if an average breakfast is worth the $16 and average dinner is worth $80. If I could do it again, I'd eat at the lodge once, and spend the money on some of the other restaurants in Jackson Hole to try something different. Also, interactions with staff felt like they were reading from a script...almost over-trained in hospitality.||If you are an early bird, and can get up and into the park before the traffic/lines, you may want to consider staying in Jackson Hole instead as you will avoid the lines into the park by getting up early, and then you are free to explore the restaurant scene in Jackson Hole without worrying about the 40 min drive there and then back again.

Our second visit here. The cabins a nice. Great location at the base of the Tetons. Quiet and secluded in nature. Restaurant makes some good five course meals. We stayed 3 days and probably should have only purchased one or two days of meals as its a lot of food and bit over priced.

We did not stay at Jenny Lake Lodge, but we had an early morning hike near the lodge. Afterwards, we stopped in for lunch. The exterior had an inviting, cozy look to it and it had the same feel inside. We had Cameron, also the manager working at the time, as our server. He was very pleasant and we enjoyed chatting with him about the area. Our lunch was very tasty. The soup hit the spot after a chilly morning hike. We had Ruby Red Trout tacos, Three Sisters Vegetable soup, French Dip sandwich, and Bison Barley soup.

We got a last-minute reservation. Our expectations were low. But when we opened the door, it was like that vision of Oz, the Wizard of Oz, when Dorothy's world goes from black and white to color. Breathtakingly lovely. Everything sparkles polished wood inside. The cabin was huge with 2 queen beds and a twin, even though only my husband and I were there.|What a jewel to an already magical Forest.|I would return to stay at these cabins. It makes the experience more authentic and adventurous, with everything you need at your fingertips, without missing a moment outside of the Tetons.

Incredible experience. The staff were super friendly and we really appreciated the managers being able to chat to. The views at spectacular and you are about 5-10 minutes from the lakes which are gorgeous. There are complimentary bikes which was a great ride next to the lake. I loved the scenery and I’m so excited to come back here.

We passed the Lodge a couple of times while looking for parking in the god-forsaken Jenny Lake area on a late summer weekend. At one point I stopped in for some water and to use the bathroom, which they were cool with. After we finally parked a few hours (yes, hours) later and completed our hike, we went back over to the Lodge to see if we could just get a drink. We noticed that dinner was pre-fixe and reservations only, and that the restaurant hadn't even opened yet for the evening. But, we decided to ask about drinks anyway, and we were pleasantly surprised when they said we could absolutely order some drinks and sit out on the sunny porch. The very friendly hostess showed us a drink menu, took our orders, and brought the beverages out to the porch for us. Given how overrun the Grand Tetons were, this was a nice quiet respite after a long day, which is more akin to the types of hiking and interactions I have here in the East. I didn't get a good look at the dining room or the food options, so I cannot comment on that or the lodging.
