Bearing in mind that Selimiye is VERY Turkish (in 10 days I was pretty much the only non-Turkish voice I heard), having Jenny and Salih to help you navigate is really useful. The hotel is very good at what it does, (which is effectively B&B), the staff are disarmingly lovely, the location is perfect, and as you can guess I am rather a fan! Make the effort to experience Selimiye, and Jenny's hospitality. I guarantee you won't regret it. It seems to be the St Tropez of Turkey, but without any of the reasons that make you want to avoid the French version!

Jenny and Saali are not just running a small-hotel they have created something special; a welcoming haven for travellers. The rooms are comfortable, the location in Selimiye is central to the busier part of town and port activity. The provided breakfast, and daily afternoon tea and cake, were very good quality. But the best of Jenny’s Place was not any of these facilties - it was the people; Saali, Jenny and their families - and the other guests some of who made an annual pilgrimage to Jenny’s place. Anyone who is not just seeking luxury and is not just seeking young adult party life will be at home here.

This is a very friendly and charming hotel. Jenny was extremely hospitable and helpful. The rooms are full of rustic charm and very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic and all too tempting with homemade preserves and delicious bread from the village. It was served in a shady courtyard, very traditional in character, which was a welcome relief from the hot road outside. The pool was decidedly bracing, no doubt because of the aforementioned shade, but I have come across others much colder. The hotel is very convenient for the village and bay, being only a very short stroll. I mustn't forget the afternoon tea and cakes, also delicious. All in all a great place to stay if you appreciate character over bland luxury.

It’s not often you can return somewhere after 8 years and find it hasn’t changed at all. Jenny’s House is one of the rare occasions. We visit Turkey most years and have always wanted to return here, finally, during Covid, we managed it. Jenny and Saleh cannot be more hospitable, helpful and friendly, and we love the different casual ‘rustic’ ambience of Jenny’s House.Selimiye itself has changed a little since our last visit but it is still small and unspoilt, and in some ways better than before. We thoroughly enjoyed our return visit and hope to return to this friendly, comfortable, ‘no frills’ establishment. Only things I would suggest, in no way detrimental, would be a variation of breakfast (maybe some yogurt or cereal) and to cut back the garden foliage a little, particularly on the room balcony - otherwise BRILLIANT and ThANKS for all your help and a lovely stay. Well recommended

I should have written this ages ago, but never got around to it! Well what can I say about Jenny's House. It is beautiful! The staff are lovely, nothing is too much for them, even when they have a full film crew working in and around the pension! The rooms are both traditional and comfortable. I must say, the shower is the best I have had in Turkey. Breakfast...... I defy anyone to find a better one! It really sets you up for the whole day. The village bread that Jenny uses is baked a little further up the road and is the best bread. Jenny makes her own jams, they are NOT to be missed. The afternoon tea, is also not to be missed, lovely cakes. Selimye is gorgeous, although very little to do, other than swim and wander around which is everything we needed. We will be back Jenny! Thank you to all of you.

My partner, our daughter and I recently returned from a superb relaxing 10 night stay. Jenny and Salih are great hosts. Honourable and trustworthy.Nothing pretentious here, just quaint homely charm. My only criticism was that Jenny's afternoon cakes were impossible to resist, but it would be churlish of me to blame her for my lack of will power. I put on 5 lbs during my stay, so if I lose 10 lbs between now and when we return next year, I will be in a position to afford to be able to put on another 5 lbs. Simples! ||Our room was perfectly adequate and very clean. The location of the property is excellent. There's a great selection of affordable restaurants within easy walking distance, serving rustic Turkish cuisine. If you are looking for Macdonalds, Starbucks or Burger king, You'll have to go to Marmaris. 1 hour on the bus, costing 20 lire (£5.28 return). Probably £10 next year, as sterling continues to plummet.......

Husband by chance found this gem online, and am so glad he did! Forget glamorous sterile looking hotel rooms, instead comfy rustic simple rooms with everything you need! The rooms are simply furnished but comfy beds, air conditioning and large wet room bathroom. Better still we were on first floor with our best friends next door, we had fab balcony stretching the whole length of our floor with comfy chairs and table, great for chilling out and drinking vast amounts! Washing line and rocking chair.||Jenny is just adorable, we all need a Jenny in our lives, from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble she is just a lovely kind lady ,supplied us with piles of beach towels, scrumptious breakfasts and afternoon tea and cake, and a wealth of local knowledge and advice. Her hotel is an oasis of calm, pretty courtyard with pool,we were able to share large fridge to put all our goodies in! Jenny's is ideally situated in the village and you have everything you need on the doorstep.||Jenny, thank you for our lovely holiday, special thanks to Sali Norton and her team.||Hope to see you again soon||Lots of love and hugs||||Liz, Tim,Paul,Michelle and Ollie xx

A lovely setting with a very friendly welcome. Rustic, charming hotel which was excellent value for money. Rooms are clean, adequately furnished and quite quaint. Bed was great and we could have slept till the afternoon. This would have been a mistake as we would have missed one of the best breakfasts ever||The saying is you get what you pay for! Well in the case of this hotel you get so much more. Only had one night but will be back again for longer stay
