Jerry's Artarama Retail Stores - Norwalk

Have been a customer of Jerry's Artarama for the past 4 years. If you are looking for REAL !!! art supplies store, than this is your place. This is not a Micheal's!!!! Always good prices, and always stocked well.

Outstanding selection, periodic terrific sales, staff always available and helpful. If I forget to pick up something when in France or Italy I know I can find it at Jerry's when I get home!

They have an incredible inventory selection of every art supply- so many to choose from! For example- Brushes - must be 1000! Friendly associates. But, be ready for high prices.

Worth the trip every time. I used to come here to load up on supplies for Art school and still return 5 years later. Best prices, best staff, best selection. Do yourself a favor and skip the trip to Michael's.

The gentleman who greeted us when we entered the store (the manager, I suspect) was so helpful in guiding our decisions. Our 8 year old granddaughter is very interested in art and quite talented. With his advice, we selected a large range of items to form a foundation for her interest and classes (from paints, brushes, a palette, easel, palette knives, variously sized canvas panels, different mediums). It felt so good to purchase a really meaningful and life enhancing gift like this for her. The store is beautifully stocked with art supplies and seems to have a vibrant framing business. Highly recommended.

All of the people here were so nice to me! I have not worked with paint for ages and had enrolled in a paint class by mistake. I show a lady my dreaded syllabus and she takes a picture of it. No joke, she literally takes me to every aisle I need to go without breaking a smile, giving the best advice possible. If you can make it here, do it. It's the best place for supplies in CT and I am lucky to have so many supplies at my disposal.

I came here for help choosing oil paints yesterday. I don’t have much experience with oils but luckily I was directed to the manager, Patrick, who helped me choose supplies while staying within my budget. He was very knowledgeable and patient, didn’t try to upsell me and I will definitely be back for anything else I need in the future! (They also seem to have good sales and prices in general- I bought drawing paper here and it was somehow considerably cheaper than the same product on Amazon.)

My teenager daughter was googling places to get the required art supplies for her college art course and selected this spot. This was located right off the highway close to the total wine and more plaza. At first I was scared the prices were going to be sky high, but it was actually affordable; they even have a members reward program that she signed up for. She found everything she was looking for. The workers were polite and the aisles were clean. We will definitely come back.

The best and mist experienced staff, selection and quality products as well as competitive prices!! Located right on the Main Avenue and great parking!! Also just a few minutes from some great restaurants- e.g. Thai Spice and Boom Thai restaurants if you're hungry for some delicious Thai lunch!! Jerry's is my favorite art-store!! Always a fun stop!!

Extremely high prices, inventory not impressive. Goto Dick Blick instead if you are a professional artist or student. Hobby Lobby that just opened up down the street has a nice selection of art and crafting supplies and the prices are better.

A real art store. No need to buy online. Helpful service. Never realized how many types of ink and thin marker pens existed.

I approached the framing counter and asked if I provided the dimensions could they cut mat for me? The long-haired Asian man said "do you need it today or can it wait?" He was already perturbed. I said "I guess it depends if you can do it today?" And he asked "do you have the art?" I replied that I had already measured it and these were the dimensions I wanted. There was lots of sighing and sounds of annoyance. He said "I've seen people do this before and then they end up bringing it back because their specs were wrong." I don't need someone telling me I don't have the right dimensions or questioning my request. Just do as I ask please and I will give you the money in return for your services. Also don't act like I am wasting your time and that you're so inconvenienced by having to do your job. Typically Jerry's is great. But this specific employee had a bad attitude and needs to quit the mansplaining. As a design professional, I'll take my framing needs somewhere else.

The manager and the framing staff came through for me, completing a very large matting/framing job. They met a very tight deadline with a good attitude. I recomend this store highly. Robert C.

I have never been disappointed going to Jerry's Norwalk. The Mgmt (Joanne) and staff go our of their way to be helpful and thorough. I buy just as much from Jerry's online as I do in the store but its ALWAYS a blast to make the trip down to browse the aisles. A good taste of everything so I always come out with full bags even if I didn't NEED anything (oh my!). Love the personal treatment...sometimes water or cookies or coffee....and the flash sales like the GREAT corner of markdowns and or close outs! (DON'T MISS THAT CORNER!) THANK YOU JERRY'S NORWALK !! (ps. they seem to have weeded out the unhappy workers... sigh. I noticed. Everyone has been WONDERFUL the past year!!)

Fantastic prices, good service but hit or miss on inventory. My suggestion...call first before going or order from Amazon. Great fun to wonder around the store.

Came in today to pick up a bunch of supplies for a paint night event. Staff was extremely helpful and an overall please to work with. Joan the manager went above and beyond to help find everything we needed. Can't beat their prices either!

Just what every budding artist needs as well as the hobby at heart. It's an under stated exterior but once one descends into the depths of the establishment there is no turning back - it's a wonderful resource.

This place to me = Six flags to a 10-year old (well..almost). They have EVERYTHINGGGG. Claim to have the best prices but Utrecht beats em on most items. minus one star for that. Before you go! become a member on their site and get coupons and all that good stuff. wish I knew about that beforehand, ghoshhhdarnit Overall , I'd recommend. GREAT spray paint selection.

I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go here, they have everything! The only thing is they can be a little pricy. But if you take advantage of their sales you can get great deals, you just have to pay attention to when they are.

Fabulous framing! The customer service was above and beyond other frame depts. I've been to. The young man helping me had wonderful suggestions and was patient when I kept describing what I "thought I wanted". He took all my words and created a truly beautiful frame with interesting mats. I called a week early to see if I might be able to have it sooner than the date he originally told me it would be ready. He checked, saw the frame was in, and worked his magic to get it done sooner than expected. Now that is amazing customer service!!!! This type of attention, plus the actual framing job will make me a lifetime client at Jerry's.

This is an artist's go-to store. It has pretty much everything you need for an art project no matter if you're a novice or professional. One can spend hours browsing all the products. The store is not as big as A.I. Friedman but it offers more niche products.

Love coming here, and I frequent this place often. Great selection of tools and very large, for a store in the basement. The staff are friendly and knowledgable, but the lines can get very long and the patrons don't help this situation any. Great place to go and the only real place you should go if you're looking for art supplies. As a tip, I recommend getting a membership here. It can save you money, which is important for most artists.

This place has been my go-to for custom framing as long as I can remember. But I haven't needed any frames for years. Just went in with a large orig screenprint to get it matted and framed. Yikes- waited for half an hour, no one at the print counter. Picked my own frames finally. Then when phantom frame girl appears she is very "busy" won't look at me. Finally, eye contact! Only to hear [insert maximum vocal fry] "I just shut down the register? So we're like basically closed." Then a death stare. Eek preferred the no eye contact. I could've tied up my transaction in the ten minutes I had left at that point, but okay. Bye bye Jerry's, you're not the guy you used to be.

The prices actually got a lot better! The store has a wide verity of supplies. I question why the employees are grumpy all the time?

Amazing place to go for supplies! The staff are so nice and so helpful. They make everything very easy for you to find and for you to check out even with any special circumstances. Good deals. Much prefer going into the Norwalk shop than relying on ordering online.

Jerry's Artarama is an amazing store for artists or anyone needing art supplies. I highly recommend it! It has great prices and a great staff. It even has unique items that you can't find anywhere else. I go there for Prismacolor markers, foam board, rulers, printing supplies, brushes, paint, ink, pencils, dye and a lot more! I'm never dissatisfied.

Love Jerry's. Had to buy supplies for class (all four years). Best prices, lots of merchandise. If you're in the vicinity and need art supplies, stop in.

Jerry's is the best art supply store in the area. If you want to put anything onto paper, this is the place to get what you need. They have a huge selection of canvas, drawing pads, paints, brushes, frames, pencils, pens, markers, literally everything you could need. Their prices are fair, and if you join their membership program, which is free, it's also the cheapest place around.

Jerry's is an OK store. It has some decent art supplies. But, it is really for the amateur or for kids or for crafts. Most of the employees with whom I have spoken know very, very little about art and art supplies.

Friendly staff, very cool/organized store. Still My favorite art supply store, even though Michaels moved in 3 min down the road. Jerry's art artarama always has the most high quality painting and drawing supplies! (And other fine art mediums too). I can spend sooo much time in this place being so captivated by everything they sell. Definitely the place to go for framing, as well as blank canvas, paint, and all types of drawing pads. This is a cool location because it's slightly underground, or at least it feels like it, since you go downstairs to enter. Great place.

I'm like a kid in a candy store in places like this and old fashioned hardware stores. Unfortunately, they are a dwindling breed. As a commercial photographer, it's a great resource for crafty things to build props, etc. as well as framing for my personal fine art images. If you play the coupon game and watch for the sales, it can be very reasonable price wise. Their selection of products are extensive.

Great staff, prices, questionable hiring practices, favoritism.

Art shop is fine, but prices tend to be much higher than online suppliers including Amazon. I have ordered some "harder to find" items that aren't in stores online from Jerry's - only to find when they ship, they cancel the items that are backordered (but weren't when you ordered). So now this is only my "emergency" shop if I need something available locally on short notice. For mail order from Jerry's, takes about 10 days delivery to west coast for the free regular shipping over $35.

Was looking for a reasonable frame shop to redo 10-12 pictures, some very large. The staff at Jerry's was very professional and did a beautiful job. We were very impressed with the quality of the framing as well as the advice they gave us regarding frames for our eclectic collection. Would not hesitate to use them again as well as to recommend them to friends.

fast frame was $700 to stretch and frame a canvas painting. jerry was half the price!!! the quality was awesome. they are very busy takes about 3 weeks but i rather save the money for good quality reasonable price framing

The staff knows how to answer artist's questions about the supplies the store carries. They have a wide selection of paints and papers, canvases, etc. Their prices for quality acid-free storage boxes for artwork are the best I've found in any art supply store. When I get a gift for an artist, I then go to Jerry's and buy a suitable sized storage box at Jerry's to mail to gift to the artist. They end up with a gift, plus a great acid-free box.

affordable, great quality stuff, organized, clear and reliable. They have all mediums and tools. Weird to find the first time around, but you'll return thereafter!
