My husband used to come here for lunch when he was working near by few years ago and on a Saturday afternoon he suggested this place for lunch as we were in Englewood. We drove there and it wasn't crowded. We checked out the whole store, they have a big grocery store inside. A lot variety of Italian breads, desserts were on display, they are cheap but does not look appealing. They even have frozen pizzas that looked amazing. We bought 2 pair of espresso cups, they are perfect for a cup of espresso and have a very pretty design on them.
They usually put some samples outside every food station but on Saturday the sample plates were empty and no one was there to address who want to ask about their products. And suddenly a huge line formed for buying sandwiches. You have to take a ticket with a number and when they call that number, you give your order to them. I felt that it was a mess. There were a lot of people waiting for order and only 2 chefs to prepare the food. After 15-20 mins of waiting we finally gave the order of 2 sandwiches. My husband had with mozzarella, all meats(4 in total which are their standard), onions, tomato, lettuce and mayo. It was huge and so heavy. I ordered one with mozzarella, smoked turkey, onions, tomatoes and lettuce. Mine was heavy too as they put tons of meat. Honestly, it wasn't the best sandwich I had but not too bad either. I would never go again so far just for a sandwich.
They also have different entrees to go including meatballs, lasagna, chicken cutlets, veal, pork and different variety of pasta.
Service- it wasn't good. The chefs behind the counter, they were only 2 of then and they dont understand English properly.
Ambiance - it was horrible and smelly. Although products weren't bad, they looked fresh. We bought a box of burrata and it tasted delicious even after a week.
