Jerry's Jeep Rental

We rented a golf cart from Jerry’s during our time in Culebra! They called us before our ferry to confirm timing and made sure someone was there to pick us up. It was a super quick and smooth process. The staff is really nice! The gal helping us gave a lot of restaurant recommendations which was very helpful.

My family had a delightful experience renting from Jerry’s Jeep Rental in Culebra. The reservation agent was friendly and knowledgeable, and the jeep was in beautiful, new condition with only 6000 miles. On our first day, Jerry’s sent a driver to pick us up (complimentary) at our hotel and bring us to their rental location. On the final day, they gave us a ride to the ferry terminal. The entire rental process was smooth and enjoyable and my family had a lot of fun with the jeep!

If you get to Culebra at 7am, don’t wait until the 8am pickup time. Just have your driver walk to the place; it’s only a 15 minute walk from the port. They were very quick with the check in process and the service was excellent. I rented a Kawasaki 6 person mule. Used it the whole day and only spent $8 on diesel for refueling and our party of 6 rode very comfortable. We were able to fit a large cooler, beach umbrella, 2 beach chairs, a foldable wagon, and 6 backpacks in the trunk. We were able to drive to many secluded places all over the island. Check-out was also smooth and they immediately drove me to the port at no additional cost. They are the only rental company in Culebra that carry Kawasaki Mules. The experience was way better than a golf cart and I will definitely be renting again.

Stay away from this place! I booked a car through their website, and when I got to the store, the car I chose was nowhere to be found. They only had a lower-tier, inferior option, and they refused to offer any discount even though I would be getting a much worse car. They also didn’t refund the $221.47 I had already paid online. To make it worse, they charged my card an additional $332.93 without my authorization. In the end, I walked out having rented nothing at all and still ended up losing $550 because of this shop. Unreal. Do yourself a favor and run.

Jerry's was super accommodating for us! We switched from jeep to golf cart to jeep and they were very understanding. That said, golf carts are tough to get around on the island with the hills and rugged roads. Jeeps are tough to park in town. Great place. Highly recommended.

Terrible car rental place!!! Deceptive practices and zero support when our tire went flat at night. No emergency phone number and they got an attitude when we asked for a discount due to the trouble we went to. She had the nerve to say we were not authorized to change a flat tire and were supposed to leave the car there and find our way home at 10 pm at night. Desk lady said it was not their problem how we got to our house and there would be no discount. They also charged me extra for insurance, when we were never informed about requirements when renting online. Horrible service and broken down cars with bald tires. Got to Carlos Jeep Rental instead if you want a jeep that works and won’t leave you stranded.

Worst place to rent in the island!!! STAY AWAY!!! During check in we got slapped with an additional $100 fee since you are supposed to have $100,000 in insurance liability…this was never explained online. The tires were in bad shape and last night at 9 pm we got a flat tire downtown. There is no number to call for an emergency and good luck getting a mechanic in the island that late. We attempted to change the tire ourselves and were unable to…the tire would not come off the car. After a couple of hours struggling, a taxi guy helped us seal the tire. This morning the desk lady at Jerry’s caught an attitude with us saying that we were not authorized to change the tire…that we were supposed to leave it there for them to fix in the morning and find our way home somehow. We DID NOT GET any discount for our trouble…only bad service, am attitude and a Jeep with bald tires. So if you want to pay $$$ for transportation that is not reliable, with no assistance if something goes wrong and have to pay additional money for someone to fix your broken jeep…this is the company for you. Go with Carlos’ rental instead. Jerry’s jeep is the worst in the island, so you’ve been warned.

Jerry's isn't locally owned, no one answers when you call, there's no voicemail option, and they don't reply to emails in a timely manner.They don't open until 8am, so if you arrive early and want to be picked up at the ferry, rent from someone else. The best part of the rental was the young lady at the desk.

No reservation, but a smooth rental experience. The jeep was the perfect add on to our Culebra Island experience allowing us to visit many points on the island. Service was great and the "shuttle" back to the ferry terminal was much appreciated.

Wish I could rate zero stars. It's a SCAM!! Deceptive practices...charging for things that are not clearly spelled out when renting online. The jeep was in bad conditions with bald tires. Got a flat tire last night and had to deal with it for two hours until a taxi guy helped us. No phone number for emergencies. No discount, only a desk person who told us we were not authorized to change tires and we were not given any discount for a car that broke down on us. STAY AWAY from this company. Go with Carlos rental.

We rented a golf cart from this company, and while the location is very convenient--right across from the airport--the experience was disappointing. Our golf cart was extremely slow, making it frustrating to get around. Additionally, when we rented it, we were verbally told we could return it anytime before closing without issue. We planned our entire day around that, only to be hit with a late fee when we returned it as agreed. We've reached out via email to resolve this, but there has been no response. Unfortunately, the poor communication and unexpected charges make it hard to recommend this rental company.

Rude staff. I asked the lady from the morning shift a question regarding check-out, explaining that we needed to catch the earliest ferry and checkout before their opening hours. She interrupted as I was explaining the ferry situation and said "can you just get to the point?" I paused for probably 5 seconds, looked at her utterly confused, and then finished my question. Never had anyone talk to me like this.

Good luck. These guys never answer the phone. If you are looking for helpful service this is not it.

Jerry's Jeep Rental is the BEST on Culebra!!! Would 1000% recommend them for car/Jeep/atv rentals. They were SUPER accommodating for our group of 6 travelers, which can be a hard number to travel with. I reserved a vehicle in advance, and they personally called me to verify that I would be arriving that day to pick it up. Though we arrived via plane, they also have a shuttle that goes back and forth from the ferry. The vehicle we received was incredibly roomy for our large group, and the pickup and dropoff process were v easy. When we arrived at 8 am for dropoff, they were open for service as stated. Just overall excellent, no-fuss, 10/10 experience!! In case anyone else gets confused like we did, they are located right across the street from the airport in a little shop. They have an office at the airport, but the office isn't actually open (as far as I know).

The employees are amazing and they are so helpful, the only reason why I'm giving them a 4 star is because the girl supervisor yesirin I think , was so rude and disrespectful. Highly recommend y'all do something about it before I start going to Carlos and I am not the only one everyone, I talked to on the island told me they had a bad experience with her as well

Scam alert Very sad leaving our favorite place to vacation but also wondering what in the world happened to Jerry's Jeeps?!? As if 800 a week wasn't high enough, they now charge a cleaning fee for your Jeep of $150 that they never said anything about and online the price was the same for drop off at 10 or at 11 and we dropped off at 1045 and were charged a extra 25 that we also weren't told about when I called the night before to check about keeping it for 45 extra minutes. We came to Culebra all the time before Covid years and couldn't wait to come back! We have always used Jerry's and have never in 16 trips to Culebra ever paid 977 for a week rental! I'm in absolute shock about all the hidden charges you can't even find anything about them on their website. I'm definitely done with Jerry's at these prices. * Also our Jeep had very little sand and some Pringle crumbs on the floor from my son. where are you supposed to even clean it before drop off? Is there a car wash I don't know about somewhere? sadly the only recourse for these types of scam companies is an honest review. Steer clear of jerry

This place is a scam. We were charged $100 per day for a crap golf cart that was painfully slow at first, then broke down altogether. Twice they promised to fix it, but did not. The bottom line is that your vacation time drains while they make money off tourists they assume are too stupid to know any better. You are dumb money to them. The guys at the front desk are ok, the incompetence and utter rudeness of the people who answer the phone is just bewildering. Luckily you can file a fraud dispute with your credit card company to stop their theft. Do it for you and as a public service for others.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY If I could give this place negative stars I would. At first renting from here may seem like a good idea- Jeeps! What do you do at this beautiful place? You go to the beach!! When I returned the Jeep everything seemed fine. Then, on my statement later sent to me there were EXTRA CHARGES for sand in the Jeep!! Let me tell you there is no place to wash or vacuum out a car/Jeep here in paradise. Scam Con If this was the case they should tell the customer up front. I visit here every year with many people and we will never use Jerry's again. I will also spread the word to others.

I'd give a negative star if I could. This is a straight up SCAM for sure. We booked and paid for the reservation online and tried to call and email them to let them know we will be arriving by ferry so they can pick us up. They did not answer our calls or emails. And when we got to the island, there was no one there. We called again and again and no one picked up the phone. We walked to the address on their website, and it was not even the right address. we had to call Carlos and rent a car from them last minute, who ANSWERED the phone and came to pick us after immediately . Please, do yourself a favor and DO NOT rent from Jerry's.

My opinion. You are crazy if you rent from these people. They even have none working numbers to call. The website number does not work. They tell you is corporate. I had to run to the office from the pier because they did not pick us up.

We rented from Culebra airport location. It's located right across the street. Easy renting, pick-up and return. Did not have any issues.

Was looking at Jerry and Carlos jeep rental to rent a golf cart for my day trip to Culebra. Jerry online booking was not working at the time so I tried to call. It was during business hours but phones kept going to voicemail. Lastly, I sent an email via the website to try to reserve a golf cart for the next day. After a couple of house of no response I went ahead and reserved a golf cart with Carlos jeep rental with no issue. Jerry replied to my email the next day hours after I had already picked up my cart of Carlos.

DO NOT RENT HERE. These guys are con artists with golf carts. after being charged 89 dollars for a 1 day rental on a golf cart "with insurance" the windscreen got cracked when it flopped up while we were driving. And this company had the GALL to charge me $309 DOLLARS!!! to replace a windscreen. searching online i couldn't find one that costs more than $117.... People are wondering why the tourism in Puerto Rico is having trouble getting back on its feet and it's places like this that would rather steal from a working man, than do a day's legitimate work.

My friend and I took a day trip to Culebra and decided to get a jeep rental after landing at the local airport. It was hands down, the BEST DECISION EVER! I didn't do much research prior to arriving in Culebra and was under the impression that we could cab it everywhere. I was also expecting to spend the majority of the day at a single location - Flemenco Beach. Getting the jeep rental gave us the opportunity to explore the entire island (yes, the ENTIRE island) in under 8 hours for just $50! Totally worth it! Culebra is an incredibly small island and if you are easily bored like myself, then you will want to explore as much as you can. With the jeep rental, we were able to visit major beaches to swim and snorkel including Flemenco, Zoni, Tamarindo, Melones, Punta Soledad, and more! If you are looking to travel on land, jeeps are definitely the way to go. Many of the roads were also unpaved, which allowed us to have some fun with off-roading ;) Parking around the island is very easy and plentiful. Service was super quick and easy from the beginning to the end! If you're on the island of Culebra, then Jerry's Jeep Rentals are the way to go!

HORRIBLE If I can give zero starts I would. All I can say is just use Carlos instead. They are extremely rude and we will never use them again. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND POIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I work as a traveler nurse and travel all of USA, and rent cars all over and this place is the worst. I never had such a bad experience with a rental car until I rented to them, Jerry rental car, uffff so dissatisfied and disappointed.... NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN WILL RENT WITH THIS COMPANY.

Do not RENt from here!! They were late to pick us up from the Ferry. When we arrived they assured us that we needed to purchase the car insurance due to the bad driver on the island, the girl said that it will be an additional $15 but in fact it was $15 per day. )However, when we reserved the gentlemen stated that the quoted price included the insurance)Then, we got a crash car which hey refused to change even though there were over cars sitting in their lot trough out our stay. At checkout, we were charged an additional $45 for car dents which we obviously didn't do. Finally, we waited for 25 minutes to be taken back to town to catch the ferry and this was after I complained of the unprofessionalism of their business. Therefore, she agreed to take us to town but left us half way because she didn't want to get stuck in traffic. Also, Beware of the "cleaning fees"

HORRIBLE customer service!!!! Don't waste your time here, go to carlo's down the street. We were returning customers and can not believe the way we were treated. The " manager" and her minions were so rude and disrespectful. She wouldn't even give her name, so I'm taking this to be typical behavior from her. It appears from other reviews that she's a problem.

We waited for you an hour in the sun for them to come with a shuttle because they confirmed there would be one, but they never did . We then walked 1 mile in the sun with bags to find them literally ignoring all calls as they rang because they didn't feel like answering that day. You have been warned , you may not get a car and/or shuttle . Your trip will be ruined like our honeymoon was if you rent from here .I am not sure why anyone would do what they did to a person , but up to them who they want to be.

FRAUD ALERT!! (For the Spanish version of this review, scroll down*) DO NOT RENT FROM JERRY JEEP. GO TO CARLOS INSTEAD! Rude customer service, gave us a broken down golf cart that was dangerous to drive, and when we returned it 15 minutes later, they said they would be returning the money to our bank account but didn't. We are still waiting for our money back... 6 days later. They STOLE $166 plus a $200 deposit for a cart we returned IMMEDIATELY. And they do not want to provide contact info for the manager. We will be reporting them to local authorities. *NO ALQUILEN DE JERRY JEEP. VAYAN A CARLOS JEEP. Los empleados son irrespetuosos y te hablan en tono malcriado. Nos entregaron un carro de golf dañado y peligroso. Regresamos al local a devolverlo INMEDIATAMENTE porque era un peligro conducir ese vehículo por las carreteras de Culebra, y más cuando tenemos 2 niños. El empleado dijo que nos devolvería el dinero y todavía no lo han devuelto. SE ROBARON $166 más el depósito. Y no quieren ponernos en contacto con el gerente. Los vamos a reportar a DACO.

They didn't say too much and were very to the point. Didn't go the extra mile to greet and help us but didn't waste our time either. Quick renting the cart and quick returning the cart. If you want the ease of that than rent here. Don't expect the extra mile. Can't complain just letting all know!

Another great experience renting with Jerry's Jeep rentals! The staff is always friendly and they were so quick to address the flat tire we got out at Zoni!

I AM APPALLED! First they were supposed to pick me and my family up from the docks, we told them the time we were to arrive and they did NOT pick us up. I had to leave my family watching our backs while I walked all the way to the rental place and even though we had a reservation they gave us a jeep that not only had bumps all over the place, the steering wheel jiggled enery time you pressed the gas, we almost went off the road a couple times. When I told the manager about this he told us "If you wanted to have a new car here you should've bought one." I've never been so disgusted at such bad customer service in my entire life. Tltr: This place sucks complete ass, go to Carlo's Jeep Rental Instead

We couldn't rent a car there because cars were totally booked and we only stayed there for one day. But I'd like to tell you about someone that helped us a lot. I don't know who he is but he wore that company's t-shirt picked us up and dropped in a hotel without any charge. It might be happened sometimes. But after that day, when we were in hurry to get ferry, we couldn't catch any taxi so we just ran and running out of time. Then, he saw us and picked us up again! I really appreciate him about it. I even couldn't say merry christmas to him. I don't know he would read it or not but still appreciate his help and also wanna say that all people in that island were so nice and would like to be there again.

They get the job done. Competitive prices, but with add on's it ends of not being too cheap. I was alone as a single rider and don't think it was worth it on my own and should have just kept utilising the publicos. If you had 2 or more it probably would be worth it. I did enjoy having the access to get to some of the smaller beaches, off the beaten track. Golf cart was in fine condition. Very easy to use and no real problems at all.

This place is the way to go!!! Whatever you do, don't go to Carlos' Jeep. Jerry's Jeep is so professional, the people that work there are personal and funny. You're in and out in a second! Awesome place! Can't wait to rent from them again!

Rent our golf cart here! We really enjoyed the service here! They were very nice to pick us up from the lodging place and drop us off at the ferry. Before we started our adventure in Culebra, the lady explained all the details about golf cart and gave us chance to practice around. I highly recommend to rent a golf cart here!!!

Do not rent anything from Jerry's Jeeps, or you may be swindled. I went there on a Tuesday evening in the hopes of renting a golf cart on which to scoot around the island for the roughly 36 hours that my wife and I would be there. The nice woman at the desk informed me that there was a Jeep available if we wanted it. I told her what day and time we'd be dropping it off and asked her how much it would cost. She said $84. Surprised at how cheap that rate sounded, I asked her explicitly, "That's a total charge for the entire time we have the vehicle?" She confirmed this. I asked yet again, and she confirmed. We rented the Jeep. When we dropped the Jeep off at the agreed-upon date and time, Jerry himself charged us $160 for the rental, reasoning that we'd had the vehicle for two full days. When we informed him of what his employee, who was absent at the time, told us it would cost, he pointed out that the rate she quoted was per day and that, again, we'd had the Jeep for two full days. He didn't bother apologizing for her mistake. He then very quickly showed me a crudely scribbled math equation that he'd put on our invoice to condescendingly prove that the charge was correct. He then suggested that he'd even given us a discount. I repeated that his employee had explicitly told us a different rate and that we wouldn't have rented the vehicle otherwise, to which he pointed out that English was her second language and that there must have been a communication breakdown. This might have been true, but his bringing it up was insulting to our intelligence at that moment, given that he was obviously jobbing us, not to mention that we'd enjoyed a perfectly fluent conversation with her in English two nights before. By this time, our flight was about to depart and we didn't have time to protest further. The stealth and politeness with which Jerry bilked us out of $75 suggests to me that he'd done this before and will attempt to do so again. I don't believe our increased rate was due to a cultural misunderstanding, as he wanted us to believe. I believe it was a lightly-coordinated effort that wouldn't have been a big deal had we not been traveling on a budget. If you're going to Culebra, hopefully you're on a looser budget than we were and can thus afford to part with more of your money than you expected to. Regardless of your budget, avoid Jerry's Jeeps. Don't let him make you feel stupid and don't run the risk of tainting an otherwise wonderful experience on a beautiful island full of otherwise nice and square-dealing people.

Great service and friendly staff. Prices change daily, and day rates are cheaper than 24hr rate. Noni and Michael provided great service! Careful with the jeeps when they're wet, the side steps get really slippery.

BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE! I don't normally write such negative reviews but in this case, it is warranted. Showed insurance ID Cards and emailed policy cover letter showing coverage amounts. They insisted that I must have CDW. So, obviously I went elsewhere. Poor business practices and untrustworthy. What a shame and disappointment. Go to Carlos Jeep rental instead.

FRAUD! and rude First off, this company gave us a wrong and misleading quote. When we wanted to book a golf cart, they told us it was booked for the day and that it would be cheaper for us to book a jeep for $45 for just one day, and then book a golf cart later in the evening for 2 days for the price of $55 total for the golf cart. When we asked the boss twice to confirm that it would be $55 for the golf cart total for 2 days (because the numbers didn't quite add up to us)- she said yes "that's what the system said." We asked her to confirm again, and she said yes, so we decided to book the Jeep under the reliance that the golf cart would be ~$55 total for 2 days (not one day). Upon returning the jeep, we were then told that to book the golf cart it would be ~ $108 - for 2 days, and the ~$55 cost was for just one day. Then we recalled to the employees the conversation from the morning, but employees were rude and disrespectful. They said we were mistaken and that the boss never gave us a $55 total quote, and then refused to give us the price priorly promised and that we relied upon in getting a Jeep we never wanted in the first place. Employees then refused to let us talk to their boss over the phone to confirm, and refused to allow us to see the video in their office as evidence of the morning conversation. Blatant violation of consumer protection and contractual obligations. Don't book from this company ... they can't be trusted!

Directly located across the airport in Culebra, it's is extremely convenient. They were very hospitable, the lady working knew the owner of where we were staying and offered to call him for us. Gave us a brief note to where we were going and we were off. Returning the car was quick and easy. The gentlemen behind the counter were pleasant to talk to and gave suggestions for our next trip.

Incredibly friendly staff, very accommodating and insightful! I have heard horror stories from other rental companies on the island, but the staff at Jerry's couldn't have been more accommodating from tips for traveling to an from the island, directions to the Airbnb I was staying in, replacing the lock for the golf cart after someone broke it, to even giving me a ride to the ferry after I dropped off my cart. Would absolutely recommend renting from them!

We loved renting from Jerrys! A guy from the ferry kept saying they had old jeeps and Carlos Jeeps was much better. But looking at Carlos reviews on yelp, I noticed they charged $100 if you return the jeep damp from the beach. We didn't wanna risk any extra fees so we called and made a reservation to pick us up at 9 am to take us to their office. I'm taking away one star because they never came so we called and called and finally they picked up the phone (they were busy) and they came. The jeep was a beautiful 2017 four door for 80 bucks. We even got lost and they were ok w us returning it 40 mins later! Overall awesome friendly staff and I'm happy we avoided bad potholes in our jeep than a golf cart, we even saw a girl get hit in the face by branches on a cart. Also Carlos jeeps took our name and phone down and NEVER called us back for a rental.

If you're renting from Jerry's car rental and taking the ferry go to the hotel first and have them pick you up there. They told tell you that at the time of pick up only the driver is taken to the office to get the vehicle and has to come back to the ferry and get the rest of the family or partner. Getting to the island from the ferry is an ordeal and then realizing you have to wait there longer in the heat will cause stress to the beginning of the vacation , have the family cool down and unpack at their rooms while you handle the logistics. And trying to leave and enter the ferry section during that time is a nightmare, so you only want to experience it once not twice when you have to pick up an angry party. Carlos car rental has a van so they were able to take the whole family, avoid Jerrys.

Easy to make a reservation, nice people, pickup and dropoff was painless. Our golf cart was kind of slow and made loud pop noises from the exhaust when we accelerated too much. My only complaint is that this place is expensive. We had a 10% off from the place we were staying, but ended up being $140 for 2 days and 5 hours (charged at $8/hr) including all the taxes.. A lot of taxes and extra charges. The only reason we didn't go with Carlos Rental which is much cheaper was because we were in a rush and I didn't have time to change the reservation.

We arrived at the Culebra airport and were planning on going to the ferry terminal to buy our ticket back to the main island for later in the day. I wasn't sure about how far it was from the airport and exactly how we would get there. I saw a lady at the Jerry's jeep rental stand in the airport and decided to ask her all of the questions I had and she was so nice and helpful, even helped us plan our day, we actually ended up renting a golf car from them. My husband at some point wanted to rent a jeep and the same lady that helped us earlier assured us we wouldn't need it and that the golf car would be enough. She was so right and it was so fun riding the golf car around Culebra. We truly enjoyed our day in Culebra and we're grateful we didn't have to worry about getting a taxi to all of the places we visited.

The jeep I rented was practically brand new and ran perfectly. I would not recommend a golf cart if you're heading to Zoni beach or up to a place like Krusty Krab - those hills are bad enough in a jeep and the potholes are no joke! The staff was friendly and helpful and even allowed me an extra few hours with the car so I didn't have to hang around the airport for 3 hours. They were fast too, I never had to wait to get served and the map they provided and marked up showed me everything I needed for a day on the island

If I could give no stars I would. I rented a jeep for 10 days. I returned it with no damage or stains BUT they charged me $150 for sand on the floor mats. I'm sorry but aren't you going to the beach everyday when you're in Culebra? How long does it take to vacuum sand??? So ridiculous!

Great and fast service. We walked in and walked right out with our golf cart. The prices were reasonable and the golf cart was in great condition. It almost looked brand new. the instructions given were perfect as well. Great place

I have been renting from Jerry for a number of years. We recommend him to our family and friends visiting Culebra and no one has ever had complaints. I've traditionally rented his "heaps" aka junker vehicles but he has a new fleet of brand new Jeeps now and golf carts. He treats you fairly and is a real character. I said to him as I drove off in my rental this week, "Jerry, I think you're a pretty great guy." Renting from him sort of rounds out my whole vacation. Support local and rent from him!

Easy to access- right across airport- 1 min walk. Jeep was great and necessary on terrain. Truck was clean and well maintained. Service was great. Only thing they should tell you is that getting gas on Culebra is crazy. Only one station had gas which had a 40 minute wait. And almost everything is cash only as phones are always down. Jerrys was great- I would rent from them again!

I am sad to only see one 1 star review for this company! We had an excellent experience with Jerry's for our 2 golf carts and 1 jeep for 7 days. Jerry sat down and spent about an hour with us reviewing the island when we first arrived, we appreciated this very much! Also Richard was the one who helped with my reservation and was always there to assist in a friendly manner. The carts and Jeep were in great quality and we had a wonderful time! I will certainly use this company again when I visit Culebra. Hopefully sooner rather than later! Thanks again

I would definitely recommend renting from Jerry. I rented a golf cart for my stay and Jerry went above and beyond. We drove into town and he showed me where to go to eat, where to get groceries etc. He's a very sweet man and his location is right across the street from the airport. Im always for local business so if you want to support a local then rent from Jerry!!!
