Sometimes I wonder if this is the worst ride inn the park or the one of the best. The layout is great with so much airtime and 3 great inversions. But, the restraints are horrible. For the last few times that I have gotten on it, they were fine and the ride was enjoyable. I can't say the same for most of the others. They squeeze down on my thighs during the ride and it hurts. If they squeeze down, then I know I'm in for something for the second half of the ride. It's pretty much just airtime pop after airtime pop. It's a horrendous experience. But the good outweighs the bad in this situation. So great ride.

It’s not called the Florida Messiah. It’s not called the Angel of Thrills or even the New Jersey God. No, it’s in the name guys. It’s called the New Jersey Devil. What would the devil do you to?!? Coddle you? No. It’s going to be rough, clanky. You’re strapped in uncomfortably and fast. You hear noises and feel vibrations that have you questioning its safety. It’s going to drop you, rip you to the sides, give crazy negative Gs that make you nauseous. It’s going to slam you with positive Gs and flip you when you don’t expect it. It’s going to shake you like those unfortunate babies born to bad parents. Unless you are an F-one driver with a strong neck or a football player used to being tackled, you will most likely leave this ride in pain, feeling abused. I’ve ridden everything you can name, played football, Kite boarded, travelled the world, I’ve even spent two years in prison, I love coasters. Especially in Asia. I loved this one for being appropriately named. BUT make no mistake this one ☝️ is NOT a smooth and comfortable ride. It’s literally in the name.

The Jersey Devil is newer, but the experience fell short of expectations. The cars are all Single-Rider, meaning you lose the social aspect of the experience. The track is a mono-rail, and the arrangement forces your legs to splay outward uncomfortably. The restraint system is extremely complex, but somehow feels less secure despite the complexity. It also requires a good bit of arm repositioning while it engages. The ride experience is jerky side to side, which I consider undesirable. I love smooth coasters, but this is not one. As I ride primarily to share the experience with loved ones, and do not feel as though the overall discomfort of the ride outweighs the positive aspects of it, I will not be riding again.

The drop on this ride gets me every time. I would say this ride is a top 3 at six flags great adventure. the staff are all really kind to me every time I come over. Much love to everyone for making the experience great and enjoyable.

As an avid coaster enthusiast & big RMC fan I was very excited for this ride which I finally had an opportunity to ride today. Sadly this ride was a major letdown with many issues stemming from both technical issues, and physical pain many riders experience including myself riding this Raptor. Pros: - RMC elements are exciting as expected with tons of airtime, speed, and thrills. Cons: - lots of downtime, or block section train resets due to restraint fault issues creating longer than expected line queuing. - many riders including myself experienced very sharp left hip pain mid-ride much like a torn/knotted muscle going as deep as the hip joint it'sself leading to prolonged pain for the remainder of the day. This appears to be due to the awkward riding position, and believe me it's very awkward/uncomfortable. I'm happy I have the credit, I will never ride this coaster again sadly.

VERY unique and awesome ride. The front seat "hangs" forever in anticipation on the first hill and you can definitely feel the "push" for the rest of the ride. The back has an extreme "pull" through the entire ride that's great and it's cool to see the single rail train in front of you. The constantly moving que line and loading station is awesome as well. You sit where the numbers end up falling. So efficient. Needs to be more of these around the country at other parks. Very cool and fun ride.

Pretty boring ride, it was slower than the others I been on and the guarding (like the straps to stay on and not fly off) were very loose. I wouldn’t put my hands up for this one as I felt like the safety belt was not secure.

I love this ride! The t-Rex track is so smooth and has great airtime! You have to sit back row so that you have an intense whiplash drop! Best ride in Six Flags Great Adventure!

Yelp
Jersey Devil Coaster is a single-rail roller. I absolutely loved this coaster. I've been lucky enough to ride the front seat twice. You cannot choose where you sit at this coaster; the ride attendant tells you. The coaster also doesn't stop. People hop off, and then you hop on. It slows down of course. There's drops, upside down, and turns and lots of thrills here! A great experience for a thrill seeker for sure. I loved every part of this ride.

Yelp
Jersey Devil Coaster, like most RMC single rails, is a thrilling ride. In particular, it has a 130 foot lift hill and 3 inversions, and the single rail gives it a fast and intense feel as it traverses this course. But how this differs from other RMC single rails is its restraints - while other RMC single rails I have ridden have uncomfortable nonstandard restraints, this has reasonably comfortable and more standard restraints, and because of that, I am able to enjoy this ride.

Yelp
Jersey Devil Coaster is Six Flags Great Adenture's newest and flagship ride and it's definitely one you will want to check out. Opened in 2021, the ride is a single-rail roller coaster -- the world's tallest, longest and fastest to be exact. This was my first time riding a single-rail coaster, so I was pretty excited, and thanks to the Platinum THE FLASH Pass, we were able to ride this one pretty quickly. Disclaimer that this is one of the rides that do abide to the strict cell phone law in New Jersey, so you are NOT allowed to bring ANYTHING beginning with the queue lines. The ride platform is unique, as the ride never stops and continues going -- it's unique as there's only one person allowed in each row, and the ride takes off right away, which adds to the efficiency of the ride. Despite it being only 130 feet tall, because it is a single-rail coaster, the ride feels much faster and thrilling. The speed tops at 58 mph, but the thrill is never ending for this ride because I think this ride felt quite possibly more scarier than Kingda Ka. With sudden loops and twists, you're definitely in for a treat at JDC and it's definitely worth checking out. Single-rail coasters are unique and have a completely different feel from traditional roller coasters, so make sure to check it out when you're in the park! You will not regret!
