Edit. Shut down unexpectedly after MANY years. The staff were given no warning. It does wedding's now and no carvery. It was shocking to see how the staff were treated by the owners. Would never go back personally. They all deserved better. Only ever been for the Carvery and have always been impressed. The staff are all lovely and can't do enough to help. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay from the moment we got into reception until the minute we left. Staff were very helpful and professional throughout our stay. Facilities were excellent with free wifi, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits in the room. The room was clean and modern with a nice view over fields. The bar and restaurant were also clean and bright and the food was excellent. Both my wife and myself had steak. Mine was rare and her's was well done. Both cooked to perfection. Again the staff were helpful and professional. We both had a good nights sleep and breakfast was served in minutes with all local tasty ingredients. If I have any criticism of the hotel is that the room was very warm when we got there and we had to turn the radiator off. I would highly recommend a stay here. One of the best experiences i have had in a hotel anywhere.

We went there as a family for a Sunday meal. The staff were excellent, The starters are large and are very high quality. We were all very impressed with ours. The carvery is perfect with 4 diffret meats to choose ffrom and several other vegetables and sausages to fill your plate with. There are several puddings to choose from and they were all freshly made and tasty. Over all I would defiantly visit again in the near future

Brilliant, all food is freshly prepared, and piping hot. Good ambiance, great service. Not stayed overnight, but I bet it's superb. They cater for weddings too. ! 👀 look it up. You'd be pleased you did.

Reasonable carvery - great meats well cooked and flavoursome, good vegetable selection and gravy but overcooked dry Yorkshire Puddings, salty tasteless stuffing and lumpy mash potato. Very difficult to get hot drinks, seriously crazy difficult plus appalling tasting water. Actually undrinkable, very very chemical tasting. Also ruined the rum and coke ordered. Venue could do with refurbishment and modernising. If I was holding wedding, I would be disappointed my guests couldn't have tea and coffee with their desserts.

Really liked this place. Didn't really know what to expect when we walked in bit got to our room and pleasantly surprised even if it looked like something from 50 shades. Also the breakfast was amazing, best scrambled eggs I've had in a while! The staff were all really nice and helpful too!

Food was good, excellent desserts, bar service was ok. General decor was shabby and in need of updating/tidying up. Ladies toilets were atrocious. They smelled, the taps were wobbly and reluctant to work and the hand dryers were useless. Reported to staff.

Love this place. First went earlier in the year to celebrate nans 90th birthday and now make a point of visiting every time we're in the area. Amazing and attentive staff - so caring and thoughtful, especially to the older generation or those who need a little extra assistance. Food was excellent and portions are massive. Just how I like it!
