The Jasmine Dean Hotel is well located and easy to find and just a short drive off the A69/A1. The grounds and gardens are stunning with enough space to relax in the sunshine or wander. Reception/checking in was simple and straightforward and the staff were very welcoming. The room was stunning and very spacious with everything you could possibly need and the balcony was perfect whilst we enjoyed a glass of wine. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. There was a great choice for breakfast the next morning and it tasted delicious and the service was exceptional. Overall our stay was relaxing and comfortable with a luxurious feel and very enjoyable, a 10/10 experience and we enjoyed every moment and my thanks to the staff for a perfect stay.

I have never stayed at Jesmond Dene House but stayed with my 2 children age 12 and 9 for a close friend’s wedding that was held here. My children were impressed by the comfy beds that JDH had put out for them in our family room. There was also a toy duck and a little teddy bear that added a touch of fun for my kids. My double bed was also very comfy. Molten Brown toiletries was lovely. JDH uses traditional keys to enter their rooms unlike newer hotels but no problem here.||The wedding reception with canapés, drinks was lovely and the dinner was very yummy. Fish cake starter, beef main and brownie dessert gorgeous. Wine pouring was slightly slow but I suspect they wanted to control the wine and avoid drunk wedding guests.|The staff were very attentive. I was best man. Checkout next morning easy.||2 points for improvement. The peach ice tea at the check in reception when you arrive is a lovely touch but my 9 year old son who loves peach ice tea found it very watered down by the ice. He was disappointed.||Secondly, breakfast is a small window from 8 to 10 with checkout out at 11. No surprise then that majority of guests arrive at 9. Not enough staff to man the breakfast service. I counted about 4 maybe 5 staff all looking rather stressed. It takes away from the calm vibes JDH otherwise gives. Staff was trying to seat us then take my coffee order then our hot food order. My coffee came promptly but without a coffee cup. There were no juice cups and jugs of apple and orange juice was empty. Spoons to scoop cereals were missing. Order were taken promptly. The young man who brought our hot breakfast asked me if there was anything else we needed but I felt guilty to have to ask my children if they needed anything else for their smoke salmon or avocado since he looked so stressed and needing to press on in serving others. In short more staff would have made the breakfast a better experience.

Had a wonderful stay in the family room recently. Brilliant service throughout the week, especially from Thomas, who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was fabulous and the service every morning was exceptional! Thankyou to all the wonderful staff for making us feel so welcome at the Jesmond Dene House Hotel. 5 stars from me & my girls 🌟

We had our wedding at JDH and stayed two nights. It was a lovely venue. The food is lovely and the rooms are so comfortably. The staff are very helpful and the hotel just has a very relaxed vibe. Well done JDH you made our wedding and guests stay a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend staying there and/or having a wedding there.

Visited here for afternoon tea. The restaurant is very nice and relaxing and we were seated close to the window overlooking the gardens.|The staff were very welcoming and attentive and the afternoon tea selection that was served was more than adequate and very nicely presented.|The only criticism is that one of the teapots had two chips on the rim and some of the bread on the sandwiches was a little dry on the top which would indicate that they may have been standing for a while. Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon here and I have therefore still given five stars.

The hotel is tucked away down a very quiet road.|Fantastic service all round. Staff were excellent and always helpful.|The receptionist showed us to our room on arrival, nice touch.|There was ample choice on the menu at breakfast, which we enjoyed.|There was an issue with our wash basin also a wardrobe door. We reported this on our way into breakfast, it was fixed when we returned to our room.|I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Jesmond Dene House is a lovely building with an excellent reputation. We had an afternoon tea in a nice relaxing room. We had a choice of coffee table or dining table. All food was freshly baked and beautifully presented. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing.

Old poorly furnished unkempt rooms mismatched bathroom and poor upkeep. It has the old glory with the building which is falling apart from inside. If it was not for the location and breakfast the rooms and the indoor decor would be a 3 star hotel. Single glazed rooms are noisy and they hold weddings with music till 12 pm on a Saturday night. So forget sleep if you had come for a peaceful weekend and wanting an early night. |We had a superior room and the decor of the room and the bathroom was old and tired. The curtains falling apart paints chipped cheap tiles taps coming off the sink tap holes. You could clearly see the patch up jobs of mixing old with patchy new so the bathroom specially looked of a poor establishment not where you have spent £550 for two nights. |Being next to the dene is the only positive. It is 23.21 as I write this review separately waiting for the music to stop so that we can sleep!!
