This is a nice little b&b style hotel. The staff were all very lovely and helpful, and the cooked breakfast was excellent. I stayed in a single room. It was fine. It's fairly small - the single bed takes up half the room - and I likely wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay, but was enough for a single night. The only major downside is the shower was very poor.

We stayed at this hotel for five days. The price was reasonable compared to other options in the area. It’s located about a 30–40 minute walk from the city center, which was manageable for us. Overall, the hotel is decent and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful — I’m very grateful for their assistance. Our room faced the courtyard, which was quiet and peaceful. However, it turned out to be a smoking area, so we had to keep the window closed most of the time, which was a bit inconvenient. Breakfast was a traditional Full English. It was fine at first, but after several days we really wished there were more options or some variety. The room itself was clean but quite small for two people. There was also a persistent buzzing noise — possibly from the pipes — which made it hard to sleep if you’re sensitive to sound. One of us was fine, but the other had trouble sleeping. When we mentioned it to the receptionist, she couldn’t explain it but did offer to move us, though it was already our last night. One more thing to note: our room was on the first floor, and in the mornings, all the kitchen smells would come in, making it hard to breathe. In summary: friendly staff, decent location and cleanliness, but a few things could be improved for comfort.

Bijou hotel with very warm hospitality from all the welcoming staff. Excellent quiet location with a lovely garden view from my room on the top floor. The lady duty manager was so kind to bring up my suitcase as there’s no lift. Plentiful breakfast where the hot items were cooked to order. Super efficient service from check in through to departure. Great heritage place and would stay again.

A cute little hotel on a B&B basis with an excellent starting point to explore London. The staff is awesome and very helpful. The rooms are cozy but unfortunately they don't have an A/C. So the rooms heat up pretty much. It also would be nice, to have a fridge in the room. The hotel building itself is an old typical British house with a breakfast room in the basement. The hotel serves a full british breakfast. You get a key to access the hotel at every time you want even when the staff left the hotel. Unfortunately, I am not able to give 5 stars for the rooms, as there was some dirt and an old sock under the bed. The shower was starting to build up some mold and the air fan did not work. Nevertheless, I would definitely stay there again despite some small, little issues

Stayed one night after a business trip. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Full English Breakfast included. For the price it was very well located. I would recommend it over the large chains. ||Close to tube stations and Tottenham Court Road.

Reviewing on the basis that we paid a more than reasonable price when booking in advance through Booking.com The hotel is ideally located a 20 minute walk from King's X station and very central, especially for the price we paid. We stayed in a double room with shared facilities, and the shared facilities were kept very clean during our stay so zero problems there. Our room was also comfortable with a sink and hot drink facilties so happy overall with facilities. Whilst it was the hottest weekend of the year, and nothing to do with the hotel, I would say that the fan in our room might have been a standard size instead of a mini desk fan. Additionally, my husband needs 2 pillows to sleep comfortably so perhaps extra pillows in the room would be ideal. The service from the staff was exemplary throughout our stay, everyone was lovely. As we paid such a reaosnable price for the room, the cooked breakfast included was such a bonus. It wasn't a huge offering but great for setting you up for the day. We would definitely stay again, though potentially not in the height of summer. We had the window open overnight and the road noise at night was quite disruptive.

Quite a disappointing adventure. One of the most miserable hotels I have been to. The negative part is, quite dirty bathrooms and small, the rooms are also not at a good level of hygiene. The hanging lamps are right above the shower, I do not know how they received a permission for such a technical misunderstanding. The beds are like for children, a normal adult would have a hard time relaxing and sleeping peacefully in such a narrow bed. It says that there is a garden....but if it was cleaned to be used properly....it would be good. The positive part is that the staff is very kind and helpful. Always smiling and ready to help. The location of the hotel is also positive, very convenient place for tourists. I do not recommend if..... specially for people with children

Just as described, a hotel to spend a good night or two. A very warm and pleasant welcome from the staff, who take great care of their guests. There's a strong smell of food and it's very hot in the communal areas as the radiator is always on. I'd be inclined to have my smells regulated.

Yelp
We had an absolutely horrible 4 night stay. The info on the website about the hotel not being wheelchair accessible is misleading. I am not confined to a wheelchair, but have bad arthritis. The hotel has a basement and at least 4 floors, and the ceilings are 12' high on each floor (not indicated on website). We had a room on the third floor, and when I asked to be moved to a lower floor, there weren't any rooms available. Then the manager berated me for using booking.com (turns out I had booked directly), and went on a long rant about how horrible booking.com was. The last two nights I had to literally crawl on hands and knees up the final flight of stairs, and the last night we got take-out at lunchtime to eat for dinner as I couldn't face going up the stairs another time, so we lost 1/2 day of sightseeing in London. Then, breakfast was in the basement, and there wasn't enough space for all the guests. We were rudely kicked off our table before finishing! Manager was extremely rude and combative about everything and called me names and said I was a liar. Room was incredibly hot with no AC. People in the room above us made a lot of noise. Shower gel in shower ran out on day two and was never refilled. Starting with the first day, we had asked for a twin and manager was put out that he had to take the big bed apart and remake them as twins. Staff at breakfast could not speak English, we had to repeat our order over and over, as did the other guests. Horrible horrible place. Very misleading. Manager should be ashamed of himself. I had to threaten to call the police, as he was following us down the sidewalk as we left, shouting at us.

Yelp
Stayed 3 nights and had a great sleep on all. The size of the room was kinda disappointing, but the bed was made and clean, the TV had some pretty good channels. One complaint, the shower. There is NO ventilation in there and so much vapor from the shower had formed it was hard to breath inside, and it was small. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of options to alter the breakfast. The staff was really nice and I felt trust in them. The hotel even held our bags for a little while after we checked out because we had to get our luggage later. Overall this was a great hotel!

Yelp
Glenn who works here is great. The older woman, not so much. Glenn is friendly and accommodating. He was very understanding when we showed up at 9am from our red-eye flight. He took our bags which allowed us to go roam around a bit (shopping on Oxford St) before our room was ready around 1pm. They have one computer in the lounge for free internet access, which is great. Though I did find that sometimes you had to wait since other guests want to use it too.

Yelp
We enjoyed our visit to London an our stay here. The staff was nice and friendly and didn't look at me like I had 3 heads when I asked questions. Nicely located just down the street from the Euston St. Station on Gower St. The noise wasn't too bad at all. An occasional siren but nothing nuts. The rooms are small but it is London, so for the price you can't beat it. English breakfast is downstairs every morning. Do some homework and know what you are eating. Coming from the US the breakfast was ok with me, but my friends were not huge fans of it. There is also a computer downstairs with internet so you can find travel info or whatever else you might need.

Yelp
I was initially shocked at the size of this hotel room, its less than half the size of what I am used to, but I didn't make the reservation. My friend said the reviews for this place was great, she wasn't so thrilled with her room either...needless to say it was clean and the staff was somewhat friendly. The room before you get into your room smelled like mothballs and the carpeting was very old. I have never been skived by a carpet floor but this one yes. My bare feet never touched it. It didn't look dirty but the moth ball smell and the age of the carpet just got to me. Its in a great location and when everything else is booked, this place is great,LOL. I will say the breakfast room is charming, great china and great service. They serve the full English breakfast with those sausages and baked beans....it was OK for a change, however I must say their wheatabix breakfast is better.

Yelp
Great accommodations and great service for a great price. I paid 60 pounds for a single room with shared amenities; it would have been only 10 pounds more per night if I had wanted an ensuite bathroom. The price includes a full English breakfast, which was delicious. It's a family run hotel, and they were very accommodating when it came to my early check out so I could catch a 7:30 am flight. Even scheduled a cab on my behalf since it was a Saturday and taking the tube would have been cutting it pretty close. Takes less than 5 minutes to walk to the Goodge Street tube station, which is two stops north of Leicester Square and Chinatown. The neighborhood is also very nice and safe. I would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
The five stars means "As good as it gets in central London, for a reasonable price." Actually, I'm so happy that I found this place - and the other affordable hotels in this neighbourhood, too. I just stayed at the Jesmond for two nights in a single. It cost £50 a night (I think it's going up to £55 next year - still a great deal), and breakfast was included. The place was friendly and meticulously clean and the breakfast was hot and made to order. I had a shared bathroom and shower and as you can imagine, the place was full up. However, all the people staying there were nice and polite. The shared facilities were fine. In fact, the shower had the best water pressure I've run across since moving to the UK. The location is fantastic, and they have a lovely garden out back and free and dependable wifi, too. As a woman travelling alone, I felt completely comfortable at the Jesmond and in the neighbourhood.
