Jeselton Point was the worst. It felt like a wild jungle.
I booked an island tour at counter #7, Sunny Rainbow Tours.
On the booked day, I arrived on time as agreed. Then it started raining. Because of the rain, there were no boats available to depart. The staff only told me to “just wait,” but no matter how long I waited, the boat never left.
When I asked the port staff, they told me that boats would not depart today and that I should get a refund. So I went back to counter #7 at Jeselton Point and asked for a refund, but the staff yelled at me. The service was terrible, and I had to argue with them. They aggressively approached customers when selling, but when it came to refunds, they were irritated and rude. In the end, I couldn’t get a full refund and lost a lot of money.
1. There is no fixed price. The staff just charges whatever they want. They start by quoting an extremely high price.
2. Haggling is very stressful.
3. Refunds are difficult when unexpected situations happen.
4. Staff are unfriendly and provide poor guidance. After booking, the service is the worst.
My advice: book your tour in advance. Paying a little more is worth it for peace of mind throughout your trip.
