5 Napa Valley Wineries with Great Art & Architecture - AFAR

"The tasting gallery immerses visitors in an eclectic, living gallery of contemporary abstract, figurative, and landscape works by local and international artists such as Jylian Gustlin and Yaz Krehbiel, with all displayed art available for purchase. The residency-curator selects pieces and also provides art-advisory services to help collectors, while the winemaker crafts a broad range of varietals (chardonnay, merlot, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, and more). Tastings include a gallery stroll, start at $60 per person, and are designed to make the tasting room feel like home." - Layne Randolph

Google
Private Napa tour at one of the most prolific wineries. Top-notch wines, especially the Cabernet Sauvignon. Wonderful cheeses and chocolate pairings. The grounds, the garage, and the barrel rooms are must-see features. Great experience.

Google
We did a last minute, walk-in tasting and it ended up being the one place we purchased wine. Carlos was a FANTASTIC host. I wish Jessup had some store presence in MN!

Joe Castillo

Google
We weren't sure if we wanted to have a tasting inside a tasting room rather than a winery. But we were not disappointed. A GREAT selection of Chardonnay and Reds. Including a fantastic Zinfadel, Manny's Blend and port. Annie was knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend stopping by Jessup for a great wine tasting selection and experience.

Google
A pop in tasting to top off our trip! During a very quick visit to the Napa Valley, we stopped in and had a tasting without a reservation at the bar. It was fantastic! It was quiet on a Monday afternoon, the bit service and sommelier was outstanding. The variety of wines available to sip in the beautiful space was so enjoyable. Jessie Cellars has always exceeded my expectations. Next time we plan to visit the sister brand, Handwritten, for what I know will be a similar experience!

Google
This place was AMAZING. We had Cat as our server and her smile and her excitement about the wine helped make our visit during my Bachelorette one to remember. She was easy to talk to and ridiculously enthusiastic to answer all of our questions. While I loved the wine and cheese.... I'd go back for CAT! Amazing experience. Thank you, Jessup Cellars!

Google
First time and here for a chef food, wine & art pairing with chef Nelson and we enjoyed ! A group of six we were served tasty food and amazing wines. Greeted by Zeke, we were delighted. The place is open with lots of bright light during the day. Great location and street parking. We ended up with a few bottles. Going to be come back for another experience.

Google
We had an amazing experience! The wine was exceptional and so was the service. Highly recommend the wine and cheese pairing!

Google
We did a three wine tasting which was part of our stay at Estate Yountville. Carlos was a great host! The wines were excellent! The art gallery exhibited pieces by Jason Myers, which were very nice! We will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

Yelp
A wonderful little wine destination with a tasting room in the heart of Yountville, a Napa destination. We were pleasantly greeted and offered seating. We did not have tasting reservations, but the staff was very accommodating and was able to offer us a splash. There is indoor heating for reserve tasting and outdoor area as well for overflow. Great people watching venue while you try some excellent wines! Highly recommend stop again for a taste and a look around

Yelp
My boyfriend is a member at Jessup Cellars and he took me wine tasting here a few months ago. Jessup's tasting room looks like an art gallery. They have gorgeous paintings inside that you can check out while you taste. Our sommelier was awesome and friendly, I forgot her name, but she was very knowledgeable about the wine and even had fun facts to share about Napa Valley. Unfortunately, she said that the day we went was her last day working there. I got to try 3 different wines (Chardonnay, Merlot and a Cabernet Sauvignon) and she even poured us a 4th glass for free. Everything I tried was delicious. Can't go wrong with any of the options. My sweet boyfriend even bought me a bottle to take home. Excellent choice for wine tasting in Yountville.

Yelp
This winery is unlike any other. We walked in without reservations but immediately greeted with the bright beautiful gallery and the warmest welcome. We sampled many red blends and each of them are best in their category. Our tasting host Sam curated the menu based on our individual preferences and we ended up joining the club. The Merlot, Petite Sirah, table for four - something you don't find very often else where. Just go. You won't regret it.
google avatar

Yelp
This spot is my uncles favorite winery and he insisted we visit when we were in Napa. The tasting room is so cute and we enjoyed chatting about the art since its also an art gallery. The lady who assisted with our tasting was great. I left with a bottle although it was hard to choose just one. I thought this tasting was educational, enjoyable and relaxed. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again.

Yelp
My favorite little winery in Yountville! Coming here I'm always greeted with the warmest and friendliest staff! They are so down-to-earth and unlike other wineries, they are so not pretentious. The setting is in a cool art gallery. The wines are very good - my faves are the Sauvignon Blanc and as for a red, the limited edition of Table for Four is epic! The membership program is quite reasonable with a lot of perks. I've been here a few times and once took a group of friends and we were seated in one of the back rooms. All my friends enjoyed it and were so impressed with their service and wines. The cheese pairings are all so delicious. I love how they take the time to explain everything too! So if you happen to be in wine country, this friendly family-owned winery is a must stop! Tip- I would make reservations especially on weekends!

Yelp
Went here this past NYE weekend, a little spot we walked past and thought we should try. We had a glass of chard and ooooof, that was good. Tasted like candy, ha. Good for a summer day. Catherine helped us right at the front and helped us throughout our time there and I have nothing but praise for her! Her energy was amazing and I really appreciated her thoughtful feedback and notes on the glass we had. We came back the next day to order a bottle of Sauv Blanc (recommended by Angel at RH Restaurant) and we were pleased to see her yet again. She made the process seamless and pain free. I'm a big person in customer service and I completely appreciated it during my time here. We were only at the front of the shop so we didn't get to go around but I do like there's an inside and outside patio if staying inside is not your jam. Super chill, welcoming place through and through.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Jessups Cellars. We tried several different wines. Sam was great at sharing his knowledge of the different red wines. In particular, the Petite Syrah was of particular interest. It was so good that we bought 6 bottles to have sent to us back in Fl. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Yelp
My sister and I wanted to get away so we did a quick Napa trip. We had never been to Jessup but I had found that they had an anniversary promo going on. We were greeted upon arrival and felt very welcomed. Sam was the person who took care of us and we really enjoyed him. He visited our table to do our pours and tell us about the wines and then gave us perfect amount of time to enjoy in between. We tried 2 that were not on the tasting menu because Sam took the time to ask what we typically like and knew we were from Lodi, which also produces wines. I loved the cheese and chocolate pairings and Sam even gave recommendations for food pairings along the way. Our tasting was free for their anniversary but my sister and I agreed if we had paid for the tasting it would would have been completely worth it due to the hospitality and quality of the wine. We made sure to take some bottles home! We loved everything we tasted. Hats off to the winemaker!

Yelp
AWESOME EXPERIENCE! This tasting was wonderful. Our guide was very informative and walked us through Jessup's history and wine-making processes. I highly recommend this tasting. We were able to get a table on the terrace and it was so serene. I ended up purchasing the Pinot Noir. It was my favorite from the tasting.

Yelp
We were dining at RH and telling our server how difficult it's been trying to find a winery that is family friendly. He recommended Jessup across the street - wine and art where our family of 4 including tot and newborn could walk freely. He didn't lie..except I felt compelled not to walk around. Catherine met us with such kindness and enthusiasm that we talked the ENTIRE time. She was engaging and full of life. Our shy 3 yo warmed up to her fairly quickly and I was blown away with her friendliness - such an amazing person! I'm a noncommittal person so wine membership was never my thing, but we left Jessup with membership and wines in tow. We were staying in napa for 5 nights and had some friends coming up to hang out. We loved the vibe and Catherine's energy so much that my husband made reservations for us and 2 others to do a tasting. Unfortunately, we had a medical emergency with our toddler so I stayed home with the babies that day. My husband later came home with goodies for our tot, courtesy of Catherine after hearing about our hellish night. Thank you for putting a smile on our daughters face after being a pin cushion all night and for your immense generosity! We hope to see you in the years to come!

Yelp
Jessup is a trendy wine tasting room in Yountville. Unlike most tasting rooms, this one was situated in a art gallery type of room with music playing in the background. Our host Jet was super friendly and knowledgeable. All of our wines had a cheese accompaniment and we had a good experience. We didn't like any of the wines we tried here but the cheeses were good and our tasting was free so we still enjoyed the experience. One knock I had was that all of our wines were poured into the same glass. It was difficult to get a clear taste of each wine when it had remnants of the old wine remaining.
google avatar

Robyn B.

Yelp
We found this place by happenstance, we signed up for a Kollar Chocolates event that was to feature Jessup wines and they had to cancel the event. Someone at Jessup offered me a free tasting to make up for the cancellation. We showed up for the tasting with no expectations and were members before we left. Everyone there is friendly and nice, the atmosphere is sophisticated but not stuffy, and they have an art gallery theme that is really fun. We love that they serve really good cheese and nuts with their wine tastings which elevates the experience. We really love their Sauvignon Blanc and one of the Zinfandels, and their Chardonnay is untraditional and delicious. One of our favorite wineries in Napa Valley.
google avatar

Jonathan G.

Yelp
We love love love coming to Jessup. The staff here are fantastic. I say that because they know their craft and how to interact with people, but in a down-to-earth way vs some places where the atmosphere is stuffy. The seating is well placed and spaced, and the lighting is airy and plentiful. If doing a tasting, the wines are always placed well with nuts or cheeses, etc to compliment each other. And if the stars and planets align, you just might get seated in the small private room that used to be Handmade (if I remember correct). Give Jessup Cellars a try, you won't be disappointed. Signed, two happy members.

Yelp
My first time at Jessup was OK. I had heard such great things, but the tasting person can make or break your experience. The person I had did the basics, by just telling me the script of information about each of the wines, no personality and there wasn't much else. It was rather boring. The wine was good. Table for Four was yummy.
google avatar

Blake B.

Yelp
Approachable and welcoming from the moment I walked in. At first skeptical with the offering of a white Zinfandel as so few wineries in Napa have seemed to master the varietal, but was assured and put at ease from the staff to give it a try. I'm glad I did, refreshing without that harsh acidic bite found in other white wines. Came in for a glass and ended up leaving with more!

Yelp
We happened to stumble upon Jessup during our walk in Yountville and they were having a free tasting for their anniversary. The wines were great, but the service was even better. We got a whole lesson on general wine knowledge and the history of the grapes in Napa. Inside the winery there was art around all the tables and it was a fun atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
This was a wonderful wine tasting experience located in the Jessup Art Gallery, but the surprise were the fantastic wines and pairings, served by our wonderful, knowledgeable hostess, Laurel. It was a delightful, delicious and fun afternoon.

Davit S.

Yelp
Sam was knowledgeable, accommodating and made our day! The petite syrah was outstanding.

John B.

Yelp
We had a group of six, and we all agreed that our visit to Jessup was wonderful. We very much enjoyed our time with Sam, a personable and attentive host, and the wines were delightful! Our friends now know why we've recommended Jessup to them so many times.

Yelp
We always have the best time at Jessup tastings! From the first tasting we did on a family trip over 13 years ago that made an indelible impression from the lovely art in the tasting gallery to the perfect cheese, nut and chocolate pairings with memorable wines, Jessup is now a tasting we look forward to every time we can get out there. We had such a great afternoon tasting with Sam on July 1. Jessup set our 5 adults, 4 kids and two dogs up in the perfect cottage tasting room where Sam expertly guided the adults through a collection of white and red wines that were so good that we left with many bottles to look forward to at future family events. The pairings with exquisite cheeses and dark chocolate bring out nuances in the wine in such fun ways. A huge thank you to Sam and Jessup for this remarkable and perfect afternoon!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
We reserved a tasting on tock.com. You have to pay ahead of time. It's about 50.00 per person for tasting along with cheese tasting! I loved the ambiance of this place, it was unique because it was an art gallery and a tasting room The cheese pairing with the wine went so well together!

Michael K.

Yelp
Jessup Cellars and Handwritten wines held a private wine tasting for 30 ladies in the home of a friend. Adrienne, their Traveling Wine Educator, was the ultimate instructor, teaching us about the varietals, regions, and pairings. We had a blast and gained some new onsite on some of our favorite wines. I highly recommend visiting their tasting rooms or scheduling a private tasting with Adrienne soon!

Jaime S.

Yelp
We always love visiting Jessup! As club members, we normally schedule a tasting but decided to just pop in. They were very accommodating and we had a great tasting with Sam. He was generous and great to work with. Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Love Jessup! Great service and ambience. I enjoy going there, chill and relaxed place to enjoy good wine. Love going there for my wine pickup.

Yelp
We were in town for a business function so there was a group of us looking for things to do. I booked the chocolate tasting for our group and it was beyond our expectations! Our server was so great, she was helpful, knowledgeable, and let us try some things that weren't on the menu (which we ended up purchasing). All the wines were great and my husband and I ended up becoming members. I highly recommend a stop in at Jessup, you will be thankful you did!
google avatar

Yelp
Pick here for your wine tasting if you want not pretentious, good wine selection, cheese pairings, and art to look at while you taste! Ashley was the best, from the second we walked in. We have been to unfriendly tasting experiences before - this was the opposite and completely friendly! We ended up getting 4 bottles shipped to us and that waived both tasting fees. Could not recommend more and will be back when in town. Yountville is a quiet, charming little town with lots of options - we stopped here before going to dinner in St. Helena. Thank you again for an incredible birthday experience (and reasonable prices!) this was so fun.

Yelp
Frederick was fabulous in providing service and educating us on the products! The Port pairing with the chocolate was out of this world! So delicious!

Yelp
Our awesome friends brought us here celebrating our 30th. First of all, I love Art, so my heart was pounding as we were walking to our table for wine tasting. It was an absolutely beautiful sight for my eyes, a feast. I couldn't wait to walk around and look at the artwork. The decor reminded me of our recent trip to France. The French have a beautiful appreciation for Art. I loved the decor here. Just Loved it. I fell in love with this place, we brought home several wines and became members. Aiste was our hostess, she was wonderful. She noticed hubby and I loved sweet wines and recommended their Zinfandel. It was deliciously sweet. I also loved their Rougette. We mentioned our loving port and she surprised us with a flight of port. We were so excited and purchased some port as well. See you soon Jessup and Aiste!
google avatar

Krysten I.

Yelp
I think this was one of the better tastings I've experienced in Napa. It's a smallish place, right down the road from French laundry. Apparently they have an outdoor area in the back, but they also have some high tops in the front, as well as a table in the art gallery, in addition to a counter area where they do tastings. I came with a member, so tastings were free, but tastings range from $30-$60. I tried a whole bunch of wines from here and I wasn't disappointed in any. I liked the merlot, the petite Syrah, the red blends and and the Zinfandel. The zin was amazing and you can basically only get it if you're a member. They don't sell Jessup wine in any stores and it's only available at two restaurants in Napa, so you really need to come and taste some. Right now they have a shipping special... you can get $1 shipping if you buy a case. Amazing! In addition to top notch service, they offer some crackers and bittersweet chocolates with the tastings. I'd recommend this place to anyone, but they already have a pretty good following of people.
google avatar

Sake C.

Yelp
I did not enjoy the wine here. But had a great experience at our private room for tasting. My friend is a member, so we were able to do our tasting in the detached room/house. The cheese, nuts and chocolate all paired really well for the wine.

Yelp
A return weekend visit to Jessup Cellars, a tasting room in Yountville, confirmed my earlier impressions: this place is a party. Jessup's tasting bar gets a lot of traffic. You might have to wait for space and you might never again see the guy who told you he'd put you on the list. Advance book a reservation and avoid this or drop in and test your luck. You'll probably have fun either way. Tastings here run 3 for $15, 6 for $30 and are waived for every 1 or 2 bottles you purchase. The Cellarpass Passport will get you a free tasting of 6 wines and Jessup brings out the soda crackers and (maybe) chocolate with which to enjoy it all. Jessup gets a lot of foot traffic for a tasting room (not a vineyard) and seems to embrace the liveliness of the results. They're known not only for the wines but also a steady lineup of artsy live music performances and a changing art collection. I can't say I'd go out of my way for Jessup but if you're in town a bit early for your dinner reservations and looking for something lively and fun to fill your time, wine is always a good idea and Jessup is the place. I walked out with a bottle of 2015 Merlot ($40) and the knowledge that Jessup's wines can be purchased only in their tasting room, their online store, or as a wine club member. You won't be finding their bottles on the shelves at BevMo so if you want a little of what they're offering, get yourself there.

Dean W.

Yelp
We were blown away with the service Catherine provided our group of four last week. She was extremely knowledgeable, especially friendly and generous throughout our visit. My 88 year old mother celebrating her birthday said "it was the best birthday ever".

Yelp
The Jessup Cellars wine tasting experience was enhanced by our host Jett. His local knowledge was incredibly helpful and especially his description and tasting notes of the wines served. Jessup is a small production winery and privately owned. Very different from the big mass produced wineries in the valley. A must visit if you are at or near the town of Yountville.
google avatar

Gregg Y.

Yelp
Where to start? My parents have been member's at Jessup Cellars as far back as I can remember, so, to me, every time I come here for a tasting, It feels like home. Having worked at a winery for part of my professional career. I understand what it takes to make quality wine, and, in my opinion, Jessup Cellars does it about as well as anyone in Napa. Here's the thing about wine. I'm a true believer in the law of diminishing returns. The difference between a $20 wine and $50 wine is pretty significant; however, when you get in that $50-100 range, it gets a little fuzzy. That comment was not meant to criticize Jessup Cellars. In fact, it was meant to compliment the value of the product here. I was not being facetious when I said the wine here was great. The tasting experience is what really brings it together. The wines are paired with cheese, and accompanied by chocolate. My favorite featured wine here is the Jeul. It is a blend of mostly bourdeaux varietals and is terribly well balanced. The Table For Four is also amazing. Must see experience!

Jared L.

Yelp
Great experience at Jessup Cellars. I highly recommend this business. The customer service was phenomenal.

Yelp
best experience and pours were hit, thanks AJ for treating us like 1st class

Yelp
I've only gone wine tasting a few times before coming to this place, but I've NEVER had an experience like I did here. My hubby and I decided to come to Yountville for my birthday because we've heard great stories from friends. Jessup Cellars was also the first to catch my eye on yelp, especially because of the descriptions of the cheeses. I love cheese! Because of COVID, there was only outdoor seating in their patio, but it was beautiful. Each bench and table were spaced pretty far apart, and each were covered with an umbrella to keep customers out of the sun during their very hot summers. They have strict rules of wearing masks unless you are sitting at the table (love it). The wines were very good and some even unique, like the Chardonnay. They don't sell any of their wines outside of the winery so make sure you get some to go!! We brought some Chardonnay and Zinfandel back home because those were our favorites. All of the wines paired well with the cheeses. It was very hot so our chocolate melted on our plate, which turned into a nice fondue. What made the experience meaningful was the wonderful customer service from Laurel! She's a very friendly woman with great hospitality. Not only was she knowledgeable about the wines, she even recommended a great dinner spot, which we went to later that night. She made us feel very welcome and took the time to get to know us. She made sure our wine glasses were never empty for too long and we never felt rushed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
If you find yourself visiting Yountville and want an exceptional wine tasting experience, Jessup Cellars is THE place! The staff that work here aren't your usual high turnover tasting room people. They've all been there a long time and really know their wine! They are additionally the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting in a tasting room environment. (I've been around a lot of years!) We had Alyssa as out Wine Ambassador and were greeted by AJ on arrival. Both were engaging, extremely wine conversant, and just a pleasure to be around. Jessup cellars has had a tasting room in Yountville for 20 years now and the longevity shows in in their sophisticated yet down to earth tastings. We enjoyed all their wines but particularly the Table for Four blend that was a delight to the palette! Thank you for having us and making us feel so special!
google avatar

Mimi T.

Yelp
I am amazed at how wonderful their service was and their wine was even better. I suggest you make an appointment, do the cheese pairing, wear your masks when you're talking to your servers and tip them well!! They literally just reopened and we were able to get a last minute cancelation. Their petite syrah was one of the best I've ever had. They're also dog friendly, tables were far spread apart, and of course just amazing folks who made a trip out of the house worthwhile.
google avatar

Susie W.

Yelp
I love this tasting cellar. They are so friendly and knowledgeable. They treat you like family in a comfortable setting . You can choose from the cheese or chocolate pairing. I have had both and they are both amazing. Someone has taken the time to choose specific cheese ( and chocolates) that enhance their delicious wines. If you join their wine club your tastings are free and you get a discount on all of their delicious wines. I have other wine club memberships in the Valley but Jessup is always my favorite!! I always look forward to bringing a guest with me to this tasting cellar. It is worth a stop when you are in Napa Valley.
google avatar

Yelp
For an absolutely personalized wine tasting experience in Napa Valley, Jessup Cellars is the place to visit! This tasting room is located in the Yountville area of Napa Valley. Reservations were required, you can simply do so by calling the tasting room and they can make your reservation for you. There is free parking located at the rear of the venue and easy to access. With Covid-19 protocols in place, the tastings were private and spaced out which almost makes it feel as if you have the place to yourself. What makes this tasting even more special is that you don't only get a tasting but you also get a tasting with pairings! They pair with local cheeses and locally made chocolate from Anette's Chocolates. Throughout the tasting room you will find art displayed along the walls and there are many beautiful pieces to take in. The staff is truly delightful and provide incredible knowledge on their wines and winemaking process. Of all the tastings, the table of four was a favorite, it's a cab and is well balanced.

Yelp
Jessup Cellars in downtown Yountville has a unique different spin, with an art gallery as part of its ambience in their wine tasting room. three of us decided to go for a wine tasting on week day around 4pm, we called ahead and they were able to accommodate us last minute. They seated us all around a table and provided a variety of cheeses, nuts, crackers, and chocolate to accompany our tasting. We were attended by a representative during the entire tasting who provided information on the wines and suggestions for food parings to enhance aspects of the various wines. You need to make a reservation for a wine tasting so do make sure you call ahead. Our host was very knowledgeable and friendly and showed us around the tasting room - he even gave us each a set of two Silver Oak glasses. We ended up purchasing 2 bottles each which made our wine tasting complimentary. This is really good wine and a fun stop. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Cyle S.

Yelp
AJ is money! Great knowledge, super personable and made the tasting fun. Signed up for the free membership and will be ordering wines regularly. Love the art gallery, pretty unique compared to other tastings!
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
Went for my dad's birthday and they were so generous and kind! My parents are members because they always treat their guests well and the cheese plate with tastings is always such a great addition. My dad got a free bottle of their nicest wine for his birthday which was so kind.

Yelp
Great tasting room - Sauvignon blanc - might be the best one I've ever tasted; fruit forward taste is very refreshing Chardonnay - love this one too

Yelp
Still one of my favorites, and one of my favorite memberships to be on!! JOIN if you love great wines, great atmosphere, great people, and one of the FUNNEST yearly membership events ( they always have a great theme Bailey's the BEST , Sock Hop, Havana, and this year was 80s LOVE!). So beyond Manny's, Zins, Table for Four, Juel.. they always come up with other wines like Rougette (yum). They also have BEAUTIFUL artwork to enjoy while you drinking their wines. It changes every visit, so it's like visiting a beautiful art gallery wine getting some great wines and great people. They treat all their guest like members, but you get the extra special treatment as a member with the free tastings, events. They have different wine clubs for your budget, so feel free to ask there. I have joined a few memberships in Napa, and so far I've kept Jessup and AO while the other membershps I've cancelled quickly because the membership hasn't disappointed me when I go or bring guests. Even if you don't join, you'll definitely want to come back to enjoy the wine. TIP: their location is the largest, reserve AHEAD!!!

Yelp
Services was great, the wine was good but it just missing a view with a tasting. This tasting room is located in Yountvill in front of R+H Restaurant. My friend's a member at this winery so she booked appointment for 4 of us to have a tasting here. The winery is the oldest tasting room in Napa. The wine is great, and the service especially Laurey Thomas was excellent! She went over details of each of the bottle as she poured it in the glass. It is very small tasting room filled with canvas pictures on the wall. Each of the wine was good except I found the dessert wines to be too sweet, over sweet for me! Wine here are not sold in store or anywhere else so if you likes the wine, it must purchase here. The tasting room was small and clean. I think it will be great if it had better view since all of the winery in Napa had beautiful outdoor views! Overall, good wine, great services!

With our friend from Chicago in town, we made a visit to Napa for wine tasting. After visiting Jessup late last year, we decided to take our friend here. I was fortunate to find a parking space in their lot in back as we arrived for our 11:30am reservations. The tasting bar at the entry areas is for walk-up tasting. We opted for a more relaxing tasting and booked the Education Gallery Flight in the Tasting Gallery. We were welcomed by Whitney, our pourer for our tasting. Our table was set-up with a plate of six cheeses, chocolates and roasted nuts and carafe of water. The tasting consisted of six tastings, which consisted of sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, Table for Four red and Juel red. Each wine was matched with a cheese pairing from Atelier JCB. With each wine to be poured, Whitney gave us a background of the wine, where the grapes were sourced, types of barrels used and described the cheese that was paired with it. When she came back for the next pouring, she said she would come back because we were not finished with our prior pour. We appreciated that she did not force the pour on us until we were finished. After the last pour, we asked if we could taste their ports. She came back with a glass of each of the three ports so that we could taste them. Nice gesture. We enjoyed both of the signature blends, Table for Four and Juel and ended up getting a bottle of the Table for Four. The one and half hour experience was so enjoyable. Our first experience was great and Whitney made this tasting experience even better. Our out of town visitor was impressed and said it was memorable. Whitney also suggested we walk around to check out the art gallery during our tasting. We'll be back again.
