The cod, salmon, and lamb noodle dish is delicious! Our favourites were the salmon and cod. Portion sizes aren't large but they are reasonable. Service is great and the live guitar instrumentalists were amazing! The lobster dish has generous amounts of lobster and is on the heavier side. The pear dessert was also delicious and not overly sweet. And of course the complimentary nut mix was very yummy :-)

This is the bar/lounge in the Fairmont YVR Airport. As expected the ambiance is beautiful but is still approachable and casual. Seat yourself. It was very busy with only a few bar seats open when I was there Sunday evening after my flight but that definitely had something to do with the Superbowl as it began to clear out once the game was over. After the game was over there was live music by a guitarist and singer. The Jetside Lounge has its own menu distinct from the Globe Restaurant also at the Fairmont, but I was also given a Globe menu to order from. The Globe is more upscale dining while the Lounge has more along the lines of elevated bar food, and while the Lounge isn’t cheap, the prices are definitely more approachable than the Globe prices. I was tempted by the Globe menu but decided I didn’t want to pay $40 for cauliflower steak, so I got the roasted beet poke bowl off the Lounge menu. It was very good! Kind of simple, but it was a nice combination of fresh vegetables with a tangy shoyu sauce. The tiramisu for dessert was also delicious. It was served in a bowl like a trifle. Underneath the layer of ladyfingers there was a crunchy cocoa biscuit layer which was kind of different and I really liked. Also, there was complimentary bottomless seasoned popcorn brought out as an appetizer which was super tasty. The service at the bar was friendly and very attentive. The kitchen forgot(?) to bring my tiramisu but the bartender checked on it and brought it out when they had a chance and took it off the bill, so no harm done since I was in no hurry.

We spent the evening at the bar enjoying the fantastic service and ambiance. What a great way to start our vacation. Our bartender Evan was excellent and the food was delicious. You must try the crispy mushrooms!

Four stars is an amazing review for an airport restaurant. We stayed at the Fairmont overnight, which is literally inside the Vancouver airport. This is the hotel restaurant/bar and it’s got a very cool view of the jets taking off and the mountains in the distance. The bar is great and the bartenders were very attentive. The martinis are tiny. But you just order more of them lol. The exchange rate is good, so we got out with a dinner for under $400 w tip. Which is a pretty good deal… we had the oysters, which were literally divine. We split the signature burger which had great flavor and was plenty for the 2 of us. Calamari was a little too breaded but crab cakes were nice.. who can complain. The Turkey sandwich was out of this world! They even had live music🎉We didn’t need to leave the airport 🤷‍♀️🎉

We just enjoyed a great meal at the Fairmont YVR Jetside Lounge. There aren't many reviews of this place so we weren't sure what to expect but we ended up having a very good dinner. Even the kids meal we ordered for our daughter was quite good when "kiddie food" is often an afterthought for most restaurants. She was given a delicious piece of salmon over rice with very nice vegetables on the side. Our other entrees were the Cobb salad, poke bowl and burger and all tasted good and were presented well. Prices are a bit on the high side but that's to be expected in the airport. We'll happily come back.

Hands down 5 stars. Staff is highly professional, they are knowledgeable about allergies and accommodating, and the food is fantastic!

Fish and chips: fish is only 1 piece and overcooked for $30, Pajos fish and chips is better! I mean seriously. wings are overcooked too! This is Fairmont hotel. You should served good food not overcooked food!

Was the most magical night of my life. Evan the bartender went over the top to make my night. He made me this green peppercorn cocktail . I've never tasted anything like it, was the best drink I've ever tasted in my life. 10/10 would definitely recommend

Yelp
Watch out if you ask for a spicy Bloody Mary because it lives up to its name here. I had flames shooting out of my mouth after each sip. Fortunately, I had a glass of ice water to save my tongue. I loved the sprig of pickled asparagus included as garnish, itwassuperfresh. There are multiple seating choices from barstool to couches to table and chairs, so pick your comfort spot and treat yourself to a drink or meal before flying to your next destination

Yelp
Fairmont holds high quality standards and they deliver a great lounge experience at the YVR airport. I don't recall most international airport bars or foods; yet this remains a memorable spot. Or i may be bias towards Vancouver, I recommend for following reasons -- Convenient choice for hotel guests, relaxing stop when you have layover time at YVR airport, and this place has ambiance suitable for both short coffee/tea business meetups in between flights and for saying more intimate goodbye's over drinks when sending someone off at the airport. (those farewell moments may be more memorable and special here~) I enjoy chilling here for a drink or a bite before a flight because it feels more cozy here, and def more relaxed than the airport lounges inside security. The fireplace is a nice bonus plus you can sit by your view of choice and enjoy fine dining quality in a relaxed lounge setting. And sometimes there's live music at nights, which is my favorite part. Service here should be on par but unfortunately, it is not always on par with business VIP airport lounges, as this place can be under staffed or have a sick staff still working a shift. When the staff is new or sick and wearing a mask, they may forget to bring cutlery and be slow in getting to your table...Luckily, it's easier for one to take it easy and be patient here with its cozy vibes. This Jetside Bar can be casual, intimate, romantic, professional or even fun for people watching, depending on where you sit and which menu you choose, from its bar menu to dining menu to breakfast menu to dessert menu, etc. Solid dining option with good drinks and foods + flexible and adaptable to your occasions.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to this cafe bar at the Fairmont Yvr airport. There is nice seating that overlooks the airplanes. They seeeve breakfast, afternoon tea & lunch/dinner. The view is similar to what you would get at the Fairmont gold lounge. Their tea is always great quality and the wait staff are attentive. You also get Accor reward points! Nice place to unwind before and after a flight.

Yelp
After a cancelled flight I ended up at the Fairmont. I had been to this Fairmont previously and to the Jetside Bar previously. Firstly the view from the bar is spectacular. If you can, get a table by the windows. The bar looks out over the airport (US departures area) and in the background are the mountains. The view is spectacular, but the inside of the Jetside Bar is equally impressive. There are fireplaces and even though they try to give it a cozy feel, it has a ton of glass and wide open spaces that make it very modern feeling. The bar itself is very cool with plenty of glass. Upon coming in, I took a table and almost immediately the server was at my table. I didn't feel like having a drink and needed to have some food. I went with the Lettuce Wraps as an option to try to be healthier. The server had warned me that there was a bit of spice to the Lettuce Wraps. The food was on my table in no time and the presentation was very interesting. a half a head of lettuce and a bowl with Chicken. The menu indicated it came with water chestnuts and cashews. I had lettuce wraps in other places and usually you get some bits of chicken with mostly some slaw... Not here. It was almost exclusively chicken in the bowl with a few cashews and a few water chestnuts. 2 small sprigs of cilantro on top. The Lettuce was nice and crispy and the chicken had some spice to it. Very tasty ! Overall, the service was great in the Jetside bar, the place was quite busy but my server came by often to fill my water and to check on me. The food was very good and of course the views are fantastic. The bar did have some live entertainment and although it wasn't necessarily to my liking, I thought he was good. If you have a few hours to kill in YVR, this is a fantastic spot. Highly recommend it.

Yelp
How many hotel bar and restaurants have you been to where the food is actually memorable? Well, if you've been to the Jetside Bar, you'll at least have one under your belt. This is a big swanky (but not stuff) bar and cocktail lounge. It overlooks the tarmac at Vancouver's airport. I hate to say it, but the best nights are when it's raining out... big roaring fireplaces and live music seven days a week... really get you into the mood for a night of celebration. I started with a nice martini, big juicy olives. Next, Caesar salad with house made dressing... delicious. I follow with the spicy scallops and shrimp. Seafood was cooked perfectly, I could have done with a touch more heat, but it was excellent. I finished with a mascarpone mousse. I wanted it to go... but my excellent server, Marcia insisted I take the plated dessert to my room because their in-house pastry department are top notch and the plating was beautiful. The service at any Fairmont from the front desk to the servers are always the best. With places like this you'll actually look forward to coming to the airport.

Yelp
Picture this: Massive storm, many flights delayed. So delayed that they aren't letting you check in and clear through security until you have a confirmed flight - so no access to the airline lounges which are all after security. Add a bunch of crazy tourists that are all stressed out about the delays that are camping out everywhere with all seats taken, and no place to get a little peace of mind while waiting out the delay. Don't want to turn around and go home because it probably will clear, but it just isn't clear when. The last time this happened to me during a bad storm, I snuck away to one of my favourite secret spots in the Vancouver Airport - the Jetside Bar. Here is how to get there: Walk to the U.S. departures check-in area. Find the little escalator that says "Fairmont" and walk through the Fairmont Vancouver Airport lobby to the Jetside Bar. This is a little oasis in the pre-security area that not too many people seem to find. They've got nice big comfortable chairs, views of the runways, and a passable bar menu for an airport lounge. But most importantly: It wasn't crowded and was pleasantly calm. A welcome eye in the storm! Ahhhhh......Thank you Fairmont!

Yelp
Very cool bar / lounge / restaurant (what combo, I'm still not sure) in the Fairmont Hotel YVR. I pulled up to the bar one night for a night cap. The gentleman that night was a cool dude, friendly and smooth. He mentioned a pretty good recommendation on I believe their bacon burger (casual spelling) with sweet puh-tay-toe or regular fries. It was a solid choice, kind sir, thank ye, thank ye. The vibe all up in here is pleasantly swish, modern and sleek. It's also kind of neat how the bar rear peeks into the elevator corridor. I do admit those drab gray bar seats are so0Ooo Saved By The Bell, je regrette. Good staff, food--OH, and the Fairmont Honey Lager was also delightful! Bottom footer: My beer palette is steering in the lagers, lighter ales and light-medium pilsner directions. Sweet!

Yelp
DISHONEST WAITRESS!!! WAITRESS POCKETED OUR CASH AND CHARGED THE FULL BILL AMOUNT TO HOTEL ROOM!!! We stayed at this hotel after the airlines delayed our flight until the following morning. We were starving so we went to the lounge to have some dinner and drinks. Service was fine and everything until we left our cash for the bill. The waitress picked it up and walked off with it, we said keep the change, she thanked us and we left. The next morning as we go to check out, we see the full amount of the bill has been charged to our room. We went downstairs and spoke with the front desk people who pulled the receipt from the night before. The manager said the receipt showed no cash had been left. We were irate obviously as we spent a decent amount of money in there. The manager said they would investigate it further with the waitress and call us within 24 hours. We waited for almost 5 days and nobody called. We called them, they basically told us the same story, the waitress said there was no cash left in there, there's nothing they can do about it. So now of course we have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. What a joke. Word of advice to anyone else who goes here --- DO NOT SPEND CASH FOR YOUR BILL. Charge everything so there's a record for it and they can't steal your cash for themselves and double charge you.

Yelp
This review is for the new afternoon tea that the Fairmont YVR is offering. You wouldn't think you could have such a lovely experience at a busy airport. I had called ahead to make reservations and had a few dietary substitutions which were accommodated with no problems. I also asked if I could have a airplane shaped cookie which was on the kids menu, I mean how cute is that- airplane shaped cookies! When we arrived the table was all set up for tea, including tablecloth. Our waitress ( I think her name was Sam??) was just wonderful, did a great job of explaining the different sandwiches. And she acknowledged right away the dietary changes, which a lot of places don't and I always have to remind them. All the food was delicious and then at the end they give you a little package with some of the tea you drank to take home. I'd say this is really a 4.5 star tea. I have done 4 Fairmont teas in BC- Hotel Van, Empress and Chateau Whistler and I would say this beats the Hotel Vancouver and Empress hands down. And probably ties with Chateau Whistler.

Yelp
This bar brings back personal romantic stays always on my way somewhere... great fire places... good music ... airplanes taking off and... oh yes .. the food... Zofia was my waitress and she navigates the tables with a sense of calm and efficiency as if ice skating... describing the dishes and pouring great wines... oh yes the food... great charcuterie platter... frankly a bit of lack of imagination with all the available ingredients but fun, casual and perfect ambiance. Crispy Rigatoni ! I should have known....

Yelp
Staying at the Fairmount hotel for a night so made sense to dine here. What a pleasant surprise for an airport hotel. Food is really good and service is excellent! After traveling for 9 hours from the east coast, I'm happy to have a nice meal that included a salad. I had the Globe Signature Seafood Salad--charred tuna, crab salad, chili garlic prawns, mesclun greens, mandarin vinaigrette. Very nice combination. I especially enjoyed the prawns, crab salad and greens. The tuna was ok, I'm not sure what was a little off. Maybe cooked a few minutes too long. 2 glasses of a local Pinot noir-- good Dessert- Valrhona chocolate parfait. I passed on the dulce de leche ice cream because I'm still drinking. Wine and ice cream don't mix well for me..... But, this dessert is delicious. Rich chocolate with some kind of crunchy base and garnished with baby cilantro (love it) and purslane. So good, yum yum. If you're staying at this hotel, the Jetside Bar is a sure thing. Service is excellent and the server is definitely a professional and personable.

Yelp
Hotel bars are not my thing but this one I will readily seek out anytime I'm at YVR. Located inside the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel, the bar has a great view of the departure gates. For someone who loves to watch planes, it's awesome. The drinks are very good. SIgnature drinks are inventive and tasty. A Jack and gingerale comes with a small decanter of gingerale. It's a perfect, decadent sanctuary from the noise and tumult of delays and regular terminal activity.

Yelp
We had a delightful dinner in the Jetside Lounge (not sure if it's part of the bar or not) because we were bumped from a United flight and therefore we were able to stay in the hotel and eat at this restaurant with vouchers (we only paid the tip in cash for our GREAT server). We got the quinoa burger, veg pizza, and nachos, all of which were enjoyable and beautifully presented. The food was great, service was excellent, decor nice, couches comfortable, and view fantastic. It is a pricey place, but luckily not for us.

Yelp
I saved review #200 for one of my favorite cocktail bars in the lower mainland. My parents love staying in Fairmont hotels, so I've been to my fair share of Fairmont hotel bars in the past 6 years. All of the Fairmont bars I've been to are elegant, cozy, and have a great drink menu. None, however, equal the amazing view that you get at the Jetside Bar at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport. If you're lucky enough to get a table by the window, you're treated to views of gorgeous mountains and planes taking off (two of my favorite sights!). I've always found the service here to be pretty good. When you're seated, they bring you a small bowl of mixed nuts, and sometimes they'll bring you dried banana chips. The cocktail menu is where this place shines. They carry a wide variety of signature cocktails from Fairmont hotels all over the world, plus a wide variety of cocktails invented in-house by the bartenders. They have a honey based cocktail that is out of this world. I know the cocktails are quite pricey (~$14/drink), but the majority are doubles and the flavour combinations are fantastic. They also have a great selection of beer, ports, red, and white wines. They also have a menu full of appetizers and dinners. All of the food I've had here has been pretty good. They also have free wi-fi, if you're looking for a quiet work space in the airport. Another perk: if you spend $25.00 on your food/beverage bill, you get a free Canada Line ticket per person. They say on their website it's a two zone pass, but when we went last time we got 2 day passes. Considering the added surcharge of $5.00 if you buy a transit ticket at the airport, any free transit pass is worthwhile. I absolutely love this place, and if you're in the airport (or looking for somewhere new to go for drinks), it's worth the trip down here. I will most definitely be back.

Yelp
Had an early flight so came down from Whistler to make early morning flight. I strongly recommend it given the traffic I encountered at 7 p.m. With that said, I was met at the bar by John. he recommended an incredible seafood salad that was light, but filling, and incredibly tasty. I highly recommend it if you like seafood. Then John introduced me to his mixology and smoked bourbon. They make an old fashioned the way it was meant to be, simple but with great taste. They smoke their bourbon and it is incredible. From the incredible live music to the service I highly recommend the Jetside bar and Fairmont Hotel.

Yelp
Food here was surprisingly good despite the expensive price here.. The Sable was fantastic and everything we ordered was very good. Ribeye was very good as well.
