Jetwing Lighthouse

Jetwing Lighthouse is a wonderful hotel with outstanding service and breathtaking views. The scenery alone makes the stay unforgettable. We dined at the Cinnamon Room restaurant, and every dish was absolutely delicious. In particular, a staff member named Sandamini provided exceptional service—she kindly divided the meals into two portions for us and took great care of every detail. Her hospitality truly made our experience special. I would definitely love to stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel near Galle. A stand out feature was the unusually spacious and comfortable room with a well appointed large bathroom and attractive teak furnishing. The pools are great - in particular the lower pool over the ocean with sea turtles coming in in the afternoon was very special. Service is perhaps a little slow, but it’s always welcoming and smiley. The buffet breakfast was good and extensive and the head chef allowed my daughters to have a go at making egg hoppers which they greatly enjoyed! Only a 10 minute ride from Galle so easy to go in for dinner. Would thoroughly recommend.

We were a bit disappointed with our recent stay at Jetwing Lighthouse. While we loved the traditional design of the hotel, I do not feel that this hotel lives up to it’s five star status at the price point that it is. The main reason is that it’s become quite old and is in need of a renovation. We were there for our honeymoon. We did not have any upgrades or additional complimentary services like other hotels we have stayed in but we did have a cake in our room, which was delicious. Good point: The room was completely blackout at night. The rooms are generous in size. The swimming pool and general pool area was very clean, quiet and relaxing. Negative points: Both the AC and ceiling fan are old and extremely loud so we had to sleep without cooling and the room would be very hot and humid. The door to hotel rooms are mostly outdoors, which means there is more noise (near a busy road) and mosquitos that come in when the door is open. The breakfast buffet choice was limited and the quality wasn’t great. The front desk staff were also not very helpful when we raised concerns. Overall, sadly we wouldn’t return to this hotel.

Jetwing Lighthouse delivered an outstanding stay from start to finish and easily stands out as one of the best hotels we experienced in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, the level of comfort, personalisation, and attention to detail stood out. The rooms are superb - beautifully designed, highly functional, and genuinely luxurious. You can tell a great deal of thought has gone into the layout, amenities, and overall guest experience. Everything feels considered and effortless. The staff truly make this hotel special. Everyone was warm, friendly, and proactive, and we consistently felt that everything was taken care of. A small but very thoughtful highlight: we checked out at 6am, and the team prepared a carefully packed breakfast to send us off - a gesture that perfectly sums up the level of care here. The food was excellent, with delicious vegetarian options and a team that was always happy to adapt and ensure we had exactly what we needed. The location is ideal - set on a quiet stretch of coastline thanks to the natural geography, yet just minutes from Galle Fort and everything the area has to offer. It’s the perfect balance of peaceful retreat and convenient access.

I love the lighthouse- its architecture exudes old world charm that is simply elegant. Spacious rooms and ours faces a staggeringly breathtaking sunset w the sound of waves lapping on huge rocks. The AC is not that strong- give it time, close all doors, it will get better. Bathrooms are spacious & has a bathtub, super perfect for healing bathroom dreams. The buffet is so so good - a bounty of Sri Lankan fare & a great mix of others. Meats are halal here. The desserts are superb. Lets start with that! Take the full board package - super worth it. The bed is spacious- it can fit 2 adults & 2 young kids. I found everything to be almost perfect at this Lighthouse. The main office balcony posseses a beauty of staggering proportions. They know how to work the holy trinity of glass, open spaces & less-is-more aesthetic. Enuff to say, i am returning to this place.🥰

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable.||The hotel is set along a beautiful beach, ideal for relaxing and safe family walks. The swimming pools were clean, spacious, and great for kids as well as adults. Our room was very spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax as a family.||Overall, this is a fantastic family-friendly beach hotel with great facilities, delicious food, and outstanding service. We would definitely recommend it and would love to visit again.

I had a fantastic stay at Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle. The resort is in a great location, just a short distance from the center of Galle, making it easy to explore the city. My room was extremely spacious and comfortable, featuring a private balcony with sea view. One of the restaurants offers both buffet and à la carte options for dinner, and the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of both Sri Lankan and Western dishes. The resort pools are surrounded by a very well mantained large garden. Overall, a wonderful experience that I highly recommend!
