Jetwing Lighthouse

We recently stayed at the beautiful Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle with my wife and toddler, and it was nothing short of amazing. This was actually our second visit, and it only reminded us why we keep coming back! We stayed at the Maharaja Suite with a private plunge pool, and it was perfect—spacious, comfortable, and with an absolutely stunning view. The attention to detail in the suite made our stay extra special. A very special mention goes to Abishek, our butler, who took incredible care of us throughout our stay. From attending to every little detail to making sure our toddler was happy and comfortable, his service was warm, thoughtful, and truly world-class. The food was delicious with plenty of variety, and the kids’ menu was really well thought out, which made dining stress-free with our little one. The wide variety of drinks available was also impressive. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, pleasant, and genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall experience. Overall, this has been another wonderful stay at Jetwing Lighthouse. With the level of comfort, service, and hospitality we experienced, we’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended for families looking for luxury and relaxation in Galle!

We had an amazing experience during our stay! The atmosphere was lovely and the location is fantastic. The staff were very helpful and always ready to assist. The food was delicious, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. This is undoubtedly one of the best places in Galle. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every experience was smooth and incredible. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who provided excellent service and hospitality. The views were breathtaking, and the facilities were well-maintained. Everything was perfect here. The service and hospitality were top-notch, from the food to the room service. We even had a unique request to feed a hungry stray cat, and they happily obliged. The property boasts two enormous swimming pools and a restaurant with a stunning sea view. A poolside bar and restaurant. A spa, gym, sun bathing are. The vast size of the property will not bore you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to visit again soon.

I had a truly wonderful experience at Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional, making me feel completely at ease. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, with a stunning beach view that adds to the charm of the stay. Whether it was enjoying the serene surroundings, the breathtaking ocean views, or the consistently good service, everything came together to create a memorable visit. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the best of Galle.

A beautiful place designed by Geoffrey Bawa. His style was evident in the wide open spaces and the use of the land as it is. You can hear the sea from most places of the hotel. There was only a small strip of a beach, with more of shells than sand! But its absence was not felt and that is amazing! The Sunset and even the sunrise can be ethereal, if you are fortunate to be there on a good day. Rooms were spacious and had all the facilities one needs to just relax. Food was great, super stuff for the mains - good variety, speed and taste, pastries and desserts were ok but not that great. We did the Heritage tour with Jayan who was very good, knew his stuff and could get it across well. Lucky Dissanayake's staircase was a treat to explore Sadly, some pieces were missing, especially the section with the archers - a picture was there in the gallery and that looked amazing. Hope they get it restored. Staff was great - super efficient, polite and with the right amount of friendliness to make you feel welcome. The main restaurant staff needs a special mention, they were simply was fantastic. There was a cultural show on Saturday afternoon by a group of local artists. They showcased some traditional dances from Southern Sri Lanka. It was great but would have been better if a short introduction was given to each of the items. Thank you Jetwing Lighthouse, we had a lovely stay.

We stayed at the Lighthouse for 2 nights and we're very happy with our room, the food, the positive atmosphere and the staff. Imasha and her staff are top notch. Thank you for calling me to meet you at the beach to see the sea turtles. The experience was delightful. Saturday there is a delicious BBQ with fresh seafood, which we really enjoyed. The hotel is stunning and charmful.

This is, by far, one of the most magical holidays I’ve ever been on. This place can repair ruptured souls and heal you in ways you never thought imaginable.||The location:|Having breakfast, lunch, and dinner overlooking the ocean has to be one of the most incredible aspects of this place.||The people:|I’ve been received with such warmth and hospitality that it’s hard to put into words, really. Ms. Imasha called me before I checked in and has been there ever since, checking in on the smallest details, asking what I need, and ensuring it is met even before I ask. She made my birthday so beautiful by being incredibly attentive. I see her be this way with all the guests. Jetwing Lighthouse is very lucky to have her!||Dinushka taught me how to say “thank you” - Oyata Isthuti, and has been a smiling, happy, and familiar face during breakfast and dinner. We even sang the Sri Lankan national anthem together!||Lorenzo’s Pizza has been a warm and friendly place, with the tall gentleman Hasitha taking such good care of my food and beverage. One of the guest managers Mrs. Dessica always had a kind word to share and offer help, every step of the way. |During check-out, Oshan made it smooth and effortless for me. Even when I said goodbye, I knew I was returning to this gorgeous place, very soon! ||The food: |I'm vegetarian, so there weren't too many options or variety in the restaurants at the property. So if you're vegetarian, you may need additional options available at nearby restaurants from the property. In the four restaurants within the property, these were the ones I tried and I recommend them: |1. Quinoa salad |2. Spicy Cashew Spaghetti|3. Veggie Greens Vegan Pizza at Lorenzo's|4. Veggie Sandwich at Nihal's |There were other options with mushrooms, cauliflower, and coriander, but I did not try them. ||The Spa: |Oh my goodness, this was from another world. Great masseuse in Cici and it was a much-needed, relaxing therapy. The lotus oil that was used took me to another world, and it was heavenly. They also offered a complimentary 45-minute spa as a long-stay benefit. ||The architecture:|The architecture here is breathtakingly beautiful. It flows and feels one with the backdrop of the ocean. ||The room: |I stayed in the Main Wing room and it was magical. To listen to the waves of the ocean 24/7 spoiled me. And no other property will ever feel like this, ever again! How wonderful it was to notice the changing colors of the skies, the nature of the waves, and the early morning light as well as basking in breathtaking sunsets...this was heaven, right here.

What a beautiful experience! We booked for two nights but ended up staying four because we just couldn’t leave. The vibe of this place is something special. The location is perfect, you get to see both sunrise and sunset, the Galle Lighthouse, and a stunning beach view all in one spot.||The food was amazing, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Big thanks to Ranga and Madhushan for making our stay extra special. We’ll definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Sri Lanka!
