Jetwing St. Andrews

We picked St Andrews last minute due to a friend's suggestion. I must say this is money well spent. Quite subtle luxury and high touch service that's not in your face. From the entrance to the rooms everything had timeless class and elegance. We had a fireside drink at the bar and it was such a personal experience with the staff. The breakfast buffet was quite amazing. Very good calming atmosphere was in presence as we ate, as well as the kind staff helping us along the way. The buffet had everything, from a waffle and pancake station to curries and omelettes. There was a wide variety of selection and had small condiments to create your imaginative meal. Overall, it was very delicious and was well worth. Restaurant staff is well trained and look after our needs really well. Reception and room service is also very good. They even provided us a mini fridge to store some strawberries on request. The bedding and cleanups were excellent. Would definitely recommend despite the above average price tag. It's a special place.

We had a delightful stay at this beautiful property. The location is close to the town but very peaceful. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both meals were splendid. Rooms are comfortable and warm. However, it's good if the hotel can provide irons for all the rooms. We requested an iron but had to wait a long time to receive it. Bathrooms are smaller than they appear in photos. But our overall experience was great.

We had a fabulous stay at St Andrews. What a fabulous, cosy, friendly hotel. The room was gorgeous with comfortable beds and even a hot water bottle in the evenings when it was chilly! Breakfast incredible! Best we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. The open fire in the lounge was a treat, the pots of tea on the terrace ( with fresh milk!) , cocktails in the bar - all just lovely!! The staff are attentive, responsive and very friendly indeed. A special mention to Gowry for organising us a taxi at the 11th hour, to take us to Horton Plains at 5am the following morning. She was brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble for her and Gowry was always around to answer questions, help us if needed etc! Also, lovely Pabodha in the restaurant deserves a mention - she was professional, friendly and even wrote out a recipe for a Sri Lankan dish I fell in love with. Thank you so much! All in all, a lovely stay and we would highly recommend !!!

Such a beautiful atmosphere pervades this old colonial era hotel at Nuwara Eliya. From the moment you are greeted at the bottom of the steps and led to the lobby and greeted with a warm cup of pumpkin soup produced with vegetables from the hotel garden, you begin to realise that this is going to be a different hotel experience to others we have had in our Sri Lankan travels. Our room, 105, overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens complete with topiary hedges, had a beautiful old world charm where we slept very comfortably on the two nights we stayed. The bed was very comfortable, with an excellent bathroom. The outdoor seating was so pleasant to enjoy overlooking the gardens. As it was Christmas and Boxing Days during our stay the hotel was appropriately and tastefully decorated with Christmas cheer. The restaurant was spacious and provided some excellent meals thanks to the excellent chef and his team who also took great personal interest in making sure my wife who has a gluten intolerance, had a wide choice of options to choose from. We find that it is the staff always make a hotel feel particularly wonderful and inviting and in the case of St Andrews, we were met with nothing but kindness and consideration. The cosy bar at night with the roaring log fire was hosted by some really wonderful young men who made us feel very much at home. A special mention for the smiling and ever helpful Pabodha who looked after us so beautifully in the dining room. Pabodha was such an outstanding example of true Sri Lankan hospitality and as a young woman just commencing her career in hospitality we have no doubt she will have an excellent future ahead of her. The hotel is so fortunate to have such outstanding staff looking after guests like ourselves. Thank you to everyone who made our stay such a memorable one.

I stayed with my family in Jetwing St. Andrews for a couple of days in December 2025. I found this property very beautiful. It has an old world charm. The staff is very helpful, cooperative and quick to respond. The guests are provided with hot water bags for the night. Very suitable for family with children as it has rooms with attics which have twin beds. Children love it. The scenic beauty surrounding the hotel is amazing. . Highly recommend this hotel to all those who plan to visit Sri Lanka.

We had an absolutely amazing time here! The service was outstanding, and the food was truly enticing—every detail exceeded our expectations. We especially loved the bonfire, the perfect warmth in the room, and the overall comfort, which made our stay both memorable and delightful. A special word of appreciation to Mr. Mangalam for his gracious hospitality and attention to detail. The hotel’s vintage charm, beautifully enhanced with Christmas décor throughout, added a magical and festive touch to our experience. We are truly very happy with everything and look forward to visiting again.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and were thoroughly impressed by the excellent level of service. All members of the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. As we were the only guests during our stay, we received highly personalized attention. In addition, the hotel generously provided a complimentary room for our driver, which was a thoughtful and greatly appreciated gesture.The room was spacious and extremely comfortable for three guests, featuring one king-size bed and twin beds in the attic area. The hotel itself is approximately 150 years old and beautifully preserved, offering a charming vintage atmosphere in the best sense.Breakfast was of very high quality and served as a set course, which added to the overall refined experience. We highly recommend this hotel for guests seeking comfort, character, and outstanding hospitality.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The location was convenient, close to major attractions and transportation, which made getting around very easy. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere and overall attention to detail throughout the hotel. This was a great experience from start to finish, and I would definitely stay here again.
