We were lucky to be able to explore the Jewel Basin this summer when one of our couples decided they wanted to get married on top of Mount Aeneas! The views are insane with lakes everywhere you look and mountain peaks surrounding you. Plus we saw mountain goats while hiking! It was incredible.

Was never really into hiking until I hiked here with some friends. What can I say about this place other than its world class hiking trails completely changed my mind about hiking? Stunning views, alpine lakes and endless opportunity for adventure for all skill levels. If you're on vacation in Kalispell, this is a must visit!

Enjoyed backpacking in the Jewel Basin. Very few other backpackers after you hike about 4 miles you have Jewel Basin to yourself. Lots of gorgeous lakes to camp at.

Nice hike to lake. A little over 4 miles from campmisery to the lake itself. We carried in packrafts to paddle around the lake and had the place to ourselves the entire day. Caught several trout while on the lake. Enjoyed the fact that no one else was here even though the parking area was beyond full.
