"There's always a line in front of this hole-in-the-wall, but don’t be deterred: Jia Jia's queue moves fast, and its steamed soup dumplings are worth the wait. When it’s your turn to order, you bark what you want—pork, crab, or pork and crab xiao long bao —pay, and move to the side to claim a plastic table. The only sounds in the restaurant are tapping chopsticks, satisfied slurping, and the occasional camera shutter. Jia Jia closes when it sell out, usually by early evening. And while the crab dumplings are available year-round, they're absolutely incredible between September and December."
FAN TAS TIC!!! Amazing experience for like $40 for 4 people. I am crazy about the soup dumplings….. and there are Wao wao! So tasy!!! Unforgettable!! The food is crazy cheap and you order through an app which is in chinese, BUT don’t worry every item in the menu has pictures. There is always a line of people waiting to eat! They are full since open until closing. Must order ALL the Baos in the menu and the noodles. The pork is super flavory too. The only things I did not like were that there is no ice, and all the sodas were like room temperature or so, and they don’t use napkings, we had to ask for them like 4 times. But the experience is a true authentic chinese lunch (for us, you can go at any time) and we ate after like 5 min they kicked us out. Im not gonna even complain because there were so many people in line and the restaurant business is to sell plates as much as possible. This is a must go in Shanghai!! Excellent!

The food here is incredible! The crab noodles are absolutely to die for. The dumplings are also delicious, and the complimentary soup was wonderfully comforting. Just a heads-up—you’ll need to scan and pay at the table. Also, none of the staff speak English, so be sure to use translation tools—WeChat for ordering and Google Translate when speaking with the staff.

Great food spot for your soup dumplings and crab noodles! 🍜 🦀
It’s very popular and located near the west exit of the peoples park - just make sure to walk a bit further down the street since the gmaps is a bit off in china!
The dishes are a bit more pricy but worth it. We had their signature crab noodles and truffle soup dumplings - delicious!
They will be a queue in front - don’t worry, we waited 5 minutes - it’s really well organized.
English translations are on the menu - ordering and payment is done as usual via Wechat!
Weekends can be crowded, especially during lunch time!

I come here every time when I visit Shanghai. This trip I took my son n my husband here now it’s their fav xiao long bao. This the BEST xiao long bao, no comparison with deng tai Feng. People are so nice here, we came in the afternoon it was slow during the morning they usually have a line.

The crab roe noodles and xiao long baos were so affordable! Crab roe noodles are famous in Shanghai and this place serves one of the best ones at a good price.

If you are staying near People's Park make your way over here!
I tried the meat soup dumplings and the minced meat with noodles- both were absolutely amazing!
Google maps doesn't show the correct location- keep heading north and you'll see the name on a sign to your left. We did have to wait in line, but it was very quick- maybe 5 minutes.
