10 Best Brunches in Montreal | Condé Nast Traveler

"Jiep Jiep, in Mile Ex, excels in innovative fusion with pan-Asian inspiration; consider the Japanese version of baba ghanoush or the kimchi shakshuka. The menu changes weekly based on what's at the market, but you can always find some version of bibimbap for brunch. As far as drinks go, the Vietnamese coffee is a blend of three coffee beans designed just for the restaurant by Union Coffee next door. The result? A very strong coffee sweetened with condensed milk and usually enjoyed cold." - Karin Eldor

Delicious food with exotic ingredients, a chill atmosphere with good music and great service. They even have various sakes and japanese beer. There's also homemade sauces at the tables. If you love japanese or asian food in general, you'll love this place. Every week the menu changes a bit (with some constant items), so its a new discovery every time!

Best kept secret in the area. Cheap enough for lunch but the food is fancy enough for date night. Bibimbap was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The place is clean and the tableware is very nice.

I came in with little expectation because I love Korean food and I wasn't too sure to go in. Needless to say, I'm glad to have went in. From my understanding, their menu changes either everyday or week. Every order seems appealing but I decided to go with Bibimbap. My sister tried they tofu soup. And again, it was above our expectations. The Bibimbap and soup came from it's traditional stone bowl we both had small side dishes: pickled daikon and sweet potato salad. The soup was amazing just by looking at it. The bibimbap was fantastic, their homemade kimchi made everything so good. My favourite part about their bibimbap, the rice did not stick onto the stone bowl, which gave it a crispy delight in my mouth. As always, there's always space for dessert! We got two: Yuzu tiramisu and matcha tiramisu. Undeniably the best that we've had for a while. The flavours were there, they clearly thought out about this dessert. Nothing was overempowering and everything balanced, both flavour and texture. Other resturants would give you more marzipan or cream for their tiramisu. But this tiramisu!! The right dessert was presented and I honestly haven't tasted this kind of tiramisu for a while. Overall it was a great experience. Service was awesome too! The guy at the front is very nice!!

Homemade kimchi used in their dishes and sold by the mason jar. Ordered a bimbap by choosing from 3 types of kimchi and proteins and received it sizzling! Best bimbap I've had in Canada. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Ingredients are fresh and chosen with thoughtfulness so menu changes weekly.

Outstanding Teishoku, full of flavours from the various sets that are presented. It is very similar to the Ryokan meal experience in Japan. It is still a hidden gem of Mile Ex... I will definitely come back for brunch or lunch!
