Jimbaran Bay Seafood (JBS)

I had a great dining experience at this beachfront restaurant, and I’d definitely recommend it, especially if you love fresh seafood and beautiful sunset views. The fish and calamari were incredibly fresh, which made a big difference in taste — both were perfectly cooked and delicious. I chose mine with a bit of spice, and it was just right — flavorful but not too strong, even for someone from Europe who isn’t used to very spicy food. One of the highlights is that you can personally choose your fish from the fresh catch of the day before it’s grilled, which adds a nice, authentic touch to the experience. The setting right by the beach is amazing, especially during sunset, when the sky turns colorful and the whole place gets a relaxed, romantic vibe. The music and atmosphere were also great — a mix of good tunes that matched the mood of the evening, with people chatting, laughing, and clearly enjoying themselves. The staff were kind and attentive, helping to make the whole experience smooth and pleasant. Overall, it’s a perfect place to enjoy fresh seafood, relax with great music, and watch the sun set over the ocean.

Recommended by Ibob our driver. Our table was outside on the sand which I was dreading but I shouldn’t have. No sand on the table or the food! The food was lovely, clams a bit chewy but no complaints on the rest. We had the romantic package & it could have fed 4 people. Soo much food. The staff were so pleasant & made sure we had the most amazing experience watching the sunset. Thank you 🙏

We visited this place this evening with Three Friends. We bought one and a half kilos of fish. We bought one and a half kilos of calamari. They cooked half of the calamari normally. Half of it was pitch black, stinking, tasted bad, cooked in rancid oil, it smelled really bad, it was inedible. I definitely do not recommend this place, they also cooked the fish we bought from the fish market very badly, it was inedible, we couldn’t eat the food they brought to our table, it was so badly cooked, cooked in rancid burnt oil, we couldn’t eat the food, DEFINITELY DO NOT GO HERE..

Delicious beachside seafood experience in Jimbaran! The grilled prawns were fresh and smoky with the perfect char, and the batter-fried calamari was crispy and light. Dining with your feet in the sand and the sound of waves nearby made it even more special. A must-try if you're in Bali

Jimbaran Seafood – Uluwatu, Bali An unforgettable dining experience! The seafood at Jimbaran is absolutely top-notch—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We had the lobster, fish, and prawns, all grilled with a spicy Balinese twist that was simply amazing. Each bite was bursting with flavor! What makes it even more special is the setting—dining right on the beach with the sound of waves and the sunset in the background. It’s casual dining with your feet on the sand. The ambiance is magical and truly captures the essence of Bali. Highly recommended for seafood lovers looking for a memorable meal in paradise.

JBS was a wonderful lunch option with a large array of Seafood choices. We chose a mid sized lobster, a red snapper and prawns for our meal. The cook made them well and the dishes were paired with local greens and sambal with sticky rice. Service could have been a lot better in an almost empty hour. A group of passing musicians added a lively touch though. A nice seaside option for a meal in the Jimbaran region. It apparently gets very crowded during evenings. Pricing wise this is an expensive place with a meal for three costing us 1.3 million.

Great food, good customer service. Overall a 5 star experience. Ikan bakar and lobster was amazing. Kids love the sunset , playing by the beach whilst waiting for the food. We got there at 6pm just in time for the sunset!

Our driver Katut in Bali recommended this place as a great seafood restaurant and also somewhere in Bali we could watch the sunset over the beach. Well he certainly delivered even though the weather didn’t … very well run restaurant with abundant live seafood and fresh product sold by weight. You choose your own adventure and they grill on a large bbq located at the entrance as you walk in so you get to see what’s cooking. Staff a very organised and service was quick. Funny side note 1 of the staff looked identical to our driver I asked if he had a brother turns out it was Katut’s brother . Penny dropped that he supports the places his family works at. Only bummer was it rained and we never saw the sunset . Would definitely come again and try to catch the sun as well as some great seafood
