Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Jimbaran Bay, Bali - Explore & Book

"Arrive in Bali and within 15 minutes you could be at the Belmond Jimbaran Puri, indulging in true barefoot chic at this stylish hotel set in a long expanse of coconut groves upon the long white sands of upmarket Jimbaran Bay, one of the island's best beaches. There are traditional Balinese cottages and pool villas set in beautifully maintained tropical gardens; a bright stunning mix of bougainvillea, rose-pink waterlilies, hibiscus and frangipani interspersed with original remains of Balinese temples. The design aesthetic is the classic Balinese style we all love: vaulted bedroom ceilings over muslin-swathed beds, marble bathrooms opening out through sliding doors to the patios. Everything about the hotel is authentic and comfortable – from the mattresses in the gracious bedrooms to the cabanas at the pool; from the dining chairs to the electric buggies that whisk you wherever you need to go on the estate – and service is just lovely. They pride themselves on a 100% plastic-free environment too. The impressive lake-size pool created from Javanese stone is hard to match, and from here step onto the clean and tranquil beach to watch the gentle surf and children playing. Take a short stroll along the shore to find bustling fish markets and local beachside restaurants. The hotel’s laidback and indulgent vibe makes it the perfect spot to begin or end a stay in Bali, a great choice for couples or families looking for a luxurious break. Highs Jimbaran Bay is a quiet, exclusive spot but just a cheap 30-minute taxi ride from the night-spots of Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. It’s also just 15 minutes' drive from the airport Settle in with a cocktail at the beach bar while enjoying the superb sunsets, then dine at the hotel's excellent beachside restaurant Direct access to one of Bali's best beaches Magnificent swimming pool where you can lose your days, and a tranquil open-air beach spa where you can listen to the ocean while enjoying a massage Exceptional waterlily and flower-filled gardens vibrate with wild birdsong: there's a soul-lifting, heady dawn chorus, with nothing else but the sound of the waves to add to your feeling of utter peace Lows Some inland garden cottages and pool villas don't have sea views, but are charming nonetheless, and you'll walk (or take a buggy) to the beach down private frangipani bordered pathways in minues Part of the Belmond hotel group, it is larger than some of our smaller i-escape hotels but certainly more intimate (and far better value) than the 5-star resorts along Jimbaran Bay In the distance you can watch airplanes landing at the airport but there's little noise and it didn't bother us" - Viv Monahan

Jimbaran Puri, A Belmond Hotel, Bali (Jimbaran Bay, Bali) 7 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"On the south side of Bali, at least, the days of exploration are pretty much over. The best you can hope for is a private little slice of paradise — if it’s not going to be wild, it may as well be as lush as possible. Lush is something the Belmond (née Orient Express) hotels and resorts do well, of course, and on that score the Belmond Jimbaran Puri Bali is just what you’d expect: though just a few minutes’ drive from the airport, it’s remarkable for the completeness of the escape it provides." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful stay at Jimbaran Puri. The service was truly exceptional—attentive, friendly, and thoughtful throughout our visit. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, offering a lovely mix of comfort and local charm. Our villa had a slightly damp smell, which we assume is quite typical given Bali’s high humidity—nothing that detracted seriously from the experience, but worth mentioning. There was a small hiccup with our table reservation at the restaurant one evening. These things can happen, though in a hotel of this calibre, we would have expected it to be handled more smoothly. All in all, we had a fantastic time and would gladly return.

This is a really lovely hotel. Beautiful gardens and absolute beach front with lots of lounges. We had a pool villa which has two separate buildings in a compound. The bedroom has the bathroom and dressing room and the living room also has a dining room. Both rooms have Netflix, for your own subscription. We became addicted to ‘Designated Survivor’ and watched all 52 episodes. We laughed about going to Bali and spending hour after hour watching telly in bed. The staff are wonderful especially the butlers. My favourites were the incomparable Jay, Ogi ( who chatted to us about his dog - we are missing ours) and Segertaka. They came on a minutes notice to drive me everywhere in the buggy as I have a disability. Food was ok - nothing startling - and after six days started to become a bit repetitive. I have only one real issue. The pool in the villa has no steps or hand rails so I was unable to use it. I just felt it was too dangerous. The butlers said this is also true of the main pool. We rarely used the living room so in future I’d choose a cottage. I am a lawyer and would like to advise the management of the risk of severe injury to guests trying to enter the pool. There is even a sign prohibiting diving so how can you get in? The hotel is generally disabled friendly except for this. One other thing - the food was very expensive for average food and the cost of car hire was really over the odds. The butlers said many guests complain about the transport costs. I got a car to take me literally 5 minutes to a local hairdressers and the return trip in the hotel car was $AUD36! The wash and blow dry was $8. We booked a car for shopping but found no good areas - Jalan Legian is all changed now - so returned an hour early. The staff said it was a minimum of 3 hours for Rp1m or $AUD100. Incredible. Anyway, I’d stay here again but in a cottage. The staff are their best asset.

A real luxury resort in Jimbaran. We stayed in a large self contained villa with its own pool within the extensive and beautifully maintained grounds. Dinner is served in the restaurant on the beach with nightly entertainment. The staff are discreet and service superb and there is an excellent spa with fantastic massages. You can see planes landing at the airport but you can't hear them. The hotel is a short taxi ride from the tourist shops for your Bali souvenirs.

I can't recommend this hotel enough, we had a great time here. What is really liked: there is much space - at the beach, there is much space and privacy between sunbeds. It never felt packed anywhere at the hotel. And they play no music at the beach. It is so relaxing to just listen to the waves. I also want to point out the friendliness and professionalism of staff. People are generally friendly on Bali but the service and staff were next level. You can tell this is a well managed hotel. And my massage was divine. Thanks Mrs. Tri for the best massages I had on Bali. The hotel is kids friendly and you meet families, solo travellers, couples etc there. Everybody is welcome. We will definitely come back!

White sand and clean beach with a huge beachfront (not the norm in Bali these days). Green grass. Large pool villas. Outdoor dining under a thatched roof. Good staff Small m, understated and elegant. No wonder LVMH bought this place! We loved it.

I will definitely be returning here. It was one of the most memorable experiences. The hotel was utterly amazing. The accommodation, staff members, with special thanks to Robby, Chinta and Satya to name just a few, could not do enough for us. Every member of staff we had the pleasure of meeting where kind, professional and could not do enough for us. ||The whole hotel areal was immaculately clean, gardens well manicured, exactly what one would expect for such a Hotel.

The room is very clean and beautifully maintained. We booked dinner at Nelayan Restaurant for 5:30 PM, which turned out to be an excellent spot to enjoy the sunset. We also had the chance to watch a traditional Balinese dance performance, which was a wonderful cultural experience. The villa itself is spacious, and the pool is stunning. However, the pool is 1.5 meters deep, so parents should be cautious if their children are not confident swimmers. Overall, it’s an outstanding place to stay — highly recommended!

This was our first stop on our first trip to Bali. Flight arrived at midnight, driver was there ready to fetch us and the check-in was so easy, as we expect from a Belmond property. The location is great, the service superb, and the tour & activity offerings were just right. Recommend the fish market tour and cooking class.
