Jimmy Glass Jazz Bar

Jimmy Glass was definitely what I needed, researched this place before arriving to Valencia and was not disappointed! We truly enjoyed SongAh Chae and trio this past Friday and will return this Friday coming! Thank you so much Chevy for continuing the love of Jazz and for sharing it with us Jazz Lovers! Prime location for jazz, sick venue and great music. The ambiance is amazing and you can even get some groovy pizza with your drinks. I love it every time I go!

One of the worst experiences I have ever had in any bar, anywhere in the world. We went to Jimmy Glass Jazz Bar in Valencia hoping to enjoy some live jazz. At the entrance there was a sign “We are sold out,” but when we entered we saw free seats at the bar and thought it was fine to ask. From the very beginning, the staff acted as if they couldn’t understand what we were saying, even though I speak fluent Spanish. I simply asked for a non-alcoholic mojito (Virgin Mojito), and the waiter looked completely lost, went to ask his colleague, and still came back without understanding. When I repeated — in clear Spanish — that we just wanted an alcohol-free mojito, instead of trying to help, another staff member came over and started lecturing us aggressively, saying we were talking too loudly. I apologized immediately, not once but several times: “I understand, I’m sorry.” Yet he kept going on and on, repeating himself as if he enjoyed humiliating us in front of everyone. Then he said if we wanted to listen to the music, we had to pay 17 euros — which would have been completely fine if it had been explained politely. But instead, everything was done with arrogance, rudeness, and hostility. Even after my apologies, they kept staring at us with contempt until we finally had to leave. I have never encountered such unprofessional, rude, and disgraceful behavior in a bar. The staff was ignorant, aggressive, and completely lacking in basic respect. It ruined what should have been a nice night out. Avoid this place at all costs — there are plenty of wonderful spots in Valencia for jazz and good service. This bar is an embarrassment to the city.

Very good atmosphere here - staff are friendly and the place is intimate. Reservations are by email and definitely worth doing if you want a decent table. Some light food food options which aren't worth mentioning but a cocktail menu that pays homage to some of the great jazz bars of the world.

To be honest, the layout of this bar looks a bit weird. How should I put it? Like a bacon stripe maybe. The stage is located in the center and the audience sit on both wings. I strongly doubt that half of the audience can hardly see the musicians’ faces. I went there right before 8pm because it was said in the reservation email that the door would open at that time. But by the time I got there, there had already been around 40 people waiting outside. Sadly I could only sit by the restroom at the end of the bar and I didn’t have a clue how the band members looked like because all I saw were lamps hanging down from the ceilings. So if you want to get a nice spot with bearable view, make sure to wait outside before 8pm. And make sure to feed yourself as they don’t serve any food or even snacks during the first session. So based on my experience above, you could imagine my time there wasn’t quite enjoyable.

Complete scam and rip-off! I just walked in to grab a beer. The price at the bar was €3, so I bought it and paid by card. Later I noticed they charged me €18. Why? Because there's a €15 entrance fee, which no one told me about. They just silently added it to the card payment like it’s normal. This place is a blatant scam. I don’t care about the jazz or the atmosphere — if the first thing you do is cheat people, the rest doesn’t matter. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being ripped off.

Very nice small and comfortable jazz Bar with passionate owner serious about jazz. Service was great, environment very friendly, and the Jazz this night was straight ahead and just what we needed. Highly recommend you search them out if you make it to Valencia Spain and you like and love some serious jazz.

Great place, super ambience, it almost has a nice sleezy cellar like feel to it. The prices are moderate and the covid hygiene measures are high shock is reassuring.. The trio playing tonight we're of a very high standard and delivered what the audience we're hoping for. Although not the largest of bars the audience we're well spaced. The stage is not too large but the musicians seem comfortable and this adds to the intamacy of this venue. When you are in Valencia, if this is your cup of tea, book a table. Not to be missed. Live jazz music, good beer and reasonable prices. I ll suggest you get in early and take a table somewhere near the stage as the venue gets packed and if sitting near the bar you wont be able to see past the crowds standing up to watch the live performance.

Fantastic! Great music, cheap drinks, very intimate venue. Show up 20 minutes before the show starts. For us, there was a 15e cover charge. Was absolutely worth it!
