Jimmy’s Coffee

Since arriving in Toronto, I’ve been on a mission to find coffee that matches my Aussie palate—and Jimmy’s absolutely delivers. Smooth espresso, well-balanced milk, and no burnt bitterness in sight. It’s the first place I’ve found that nails the kind of latte I’d expect back home. Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an easy favorite. If you’re an Aussie expat or just serious about your coffee, Jimmy’s is worth the stop.

Great service with a unique attention to detail. This was my first time here and it amazed me how many little details the owners put into every corner of the cafe. Their theme being Jimmy was highlighted with their own coffee brand & all the famous Jimmys throughout the years. The little touch of daily dad jokes you get is also a fun way to start your day. The server added a pretty coffee design that added to the special feeling you get when coming in. We enjoyed the outdoor seating while watching people walk by... Such a great find! I hope to come back soon.

This is a really nice cafe with plenty of space and comfortable furniture. From the front, it doesn't look very big but the cafe is very LONG....stretches quite far in from the road. The place is clean and staff is very nice. There weren't that many cold beverage choices but we found something suitable. Great place. I plan to return.

Amazing coffee shop in a quiet atmosphere. There is a patio out back. Quaint interior with collection of retro items from school like a map of Canada. Service is prompt and friendly. Latte was smooth and strong. Lactose free option which is a huge plus.

Very nice spot with great coffee and a nice atmosphere. There is lots of character inside and attention to detail that makes it a great spot to enjoy a coffee lots of nice seating outside for when the weather is good. Coffee was great and would go back again.

Adam and Shawna were both attentive and very sweet! Such a cute place; cozy and warm environment and great playlist! They even had some vegan food options and supplied non-dairy milks which was great. Overall a great experience and when I’m in the area again I’ll be back for sure!

Jimmy's Coffee on Royal York Road is top notch in every sense of the word. Immaculate vibes, great service and high quality coffee. It's a special and quaint shop with some awesome merch to boot.

I love their ambiance and coffee, but I was disappointed at the lack of accessibility for moms with babies. There was no ramp so getting the stroller in requires two people, and no high chairs for a baby/toddler to sit in. The staff seemed annoyed when I inquired about a high chair, which gave the impression that a mom with a baby is not totally welcome there. I would love to see this lovely neighbourhood coffee shop be more accessible to local moms.

Great mocha today. Nice rustic place. Busy. They have small bites, and good coffee. They are open early to catch the pre work crowd.

I love jimmy's cafe, but this location needs to get ppl who love serving others! The lady who is often there with blond hair is so unfriendly and unhappy that I think I don't wanna go here anymore! It sux big time cause I love their coffee

i love Jimmys coffee and only get my lattes there HOWEVER, this evening (oct 4th) the individual working was very low energy and sarcastic. we ordered 3 lattees, he did NOT fill them up to the top, the first latte was more or less full, second was less full and attached you will see a picture of mine... when i mentioned to him that the lattees arent full he said this is accurate based on their proportions... and said he can add more milk if i want... its not about what i want its about serving a properly crafted latte which this guy clearly didnt know how to do. this isnt my first time there... he was closing up the lattees immediately upon serving which is NOT how it's usually done, perhaps to hide the level of the liquid... i am now a 10 min drive away, taking my first sip and very clearly there ISNT enough milk. i rarely get coffee anymore and i was really looking forward to this lattee. i forgive you but i must say the customer service tonight, the atmosphere and the coffee were really really bad... pls dont ruin the shop's reputation and find a job you will enjoy, he seemed annoyed to be there, or maybe he was annoyed that we came in. hoping next time is better.

This will be my new favourite coffee shop as it's the nearest of all that I like.. though their flagship store is the best of all from my experience. (Been to 4 Jimmy's coffee stores so far) The customer service could be improved a bit more . As I specifically said "for here", the guy still gave me the muffin in a to go pack which is weird for any shop when they do serve others in plates. Otherwise when I was There the second time everything went smooth as probably I was the first customer.. 7:10 am on a Sunday? Who else is an early riser lol.

Stopped by Jimmy's coffee after visiting the neighbouring bakery. I decided to order a chai latte with oat milk. I loved that the latte only had a hint of sweetness and a good amount of spice. Near the bottom of the drink it was a bit gritty as the chai mix had settled to the bottom. I did notice they had the chai mix for purchase available near the front of the cafe. There was only one employee making all the drinks and working the register. It was very impressive that she was able to make all of those drinks while also being so bubbly and making conversation with the customers-great service. The atmosphere is very cozy and there is a good amount of seating. One note- they were not accepting cash when I visited so have a card ready.

Loved the coffee. The texture and the taste. Big fan of local cafes and this one is totally awesome!! The mocha and latte both awesome. Highly recommend this place. Roadside parking available. Small place hence better for takeout

Need coffee..... now..... conveniently located next to San Remo where I was picking up some donuts. Staff behind the counter seemed very friendly. Ordered a medium latte and a large brewed coffee, dark roast. Took a sip of the dark roast. Good, and very strong. Lattes, all sizes are doubles, so sizes just mean varying amounts of milk. I got a medium. Turns out I should have gotten a large, their espressos are much stronger than I'm used to. Flavour was strong but still smooth. Enjoyable.

Jimmy!!! Welcome to the hood! It's so nice to see great downtown businesses like Jimmy with their eye on Mimico as I think this area is really going to be amazing in the next few years, even more so than it already is that is. I was very happy to see Jimmy's open as unlike many local businesses they are staying open a little later. Also I love San Remo next door but have never really been a fan of their coffee so the two go hand in hand. I tried their dark roast the first time I went and it has since been my go-to. The muffins are great also as is their bacon cheddar scone (so good!). Very cool hip vibe inside and great place to meet friends for a coffee.

This Royal York/Mimico cafe is my favourite coffee spot. The coffee shop is spacious with a distinctive decor. Great place to relax over coffee and a pastry. The service is always friendly and attentive. Try the flat white!

This is a pretty reliable coffee shop. Honestly not the best coffee in town but still on the better end, especially the mochas. 7/10

Weird, I was pretty sure I already reviewed Jimmy's coffee. Similar to the last review, unless I am delusional and there was no last review. I think it's a really good addition to the west end. The interior is really well done, there are numerous nice touches related to the area of Mimico. Most importantly, the cappuccino was excellent.

Jimmys never disappoints! I was very excited for their new location in Mimico to open because it is only 5 minutes away from me! The atmosphere is always welcoming and cozy and great for working. There is plentiful seating with plugs around. There is street parking around Royal York and the side streets and the coffee is always great.

Rude manager experience. Wanted to support a somewhat small business but did not appreciate the managers attitude.

Okay honestly, it can get busy-ish around lunch time... but what place doesn't?! This place has some of the nicest staff... like seriously every time I leave that place smiling because of how kind they all are. I forgot my wallet one time & they gave my coffee to me on the house type kind. Okay now food wise, always a good selection in the fridge & treats box. My personal favourite is the lemon raspberry scone.... I'm actually writing this review after devouring one. I've never had a more perfect scone, the flavours are just perfect.... and I know still so simple. Overall a great place, and would 10000% recommend going here for a quick coffee and snack, or even to go sit for a few hours.

I thought Pilot coffee was the beez neez until I tried Jimmy's. It is hands down the best coffee in Toronto.

Every time I got coffee from this place (Royal York) they never give me my exact change. Quit stealing change even a small amount of money or do not expect tips. Coffee test is good

The oat milk cappuccino is great. Very friendly workers and they have fresh juices, salads and baked goods aswell. The baristas are very on knowledgeable and kind. Also they offer 25cents off if you bring in your own cup.
