We are from the bay area and (I think) know good modern pizza fairly well.
This is certainly as good as Delfina, Pizzaiolo, Beretta, etc, which is surprising to us at least. The dough is perfect and cooked well in their brick oven, in the style of the overly perfected 5 day Tartine and Josey Baker recipes. The sauce is good and the toppings are nice, particularly the anchovies. A pizza is a good size for one person although we ended up ordering an extra because it was so good.
If you want pizza Tokyo, I doubt you can do better. Casual atmosphere and reasonable prices.
