It's easy to shop for 21-39 year olds - good alcohol or gift cards, am I right? It's hard to shop for gifts when it comes to 21-39 month olds though. They fall all over the place in the Helpless to Active spectrum. And why is everything pink or blue? Do I subject myself as part of the problem buying gender-specific toys? Can I just give them cash? Time value of money, right?
This store at the Irvine Spectrum is pretty neat. After being around mom friends, I've come to know brands of high quality and this store carries a ton of good stuff. Great, if you try to avoid plastic. Maybe we should all buy fewer and spend a little more on high quality items that last/that can be passed onto the next generation, rather than buy a lot of cheap throwaways.
Another great thing about this store is that they stock enough variations, colors etc. of the same item - say backpacks from SkipHop - I think I counted 10 different animals of the same backpack. Lots of books for all ages (mainly toddler types), Bruder trucks, LEGO, and a lot of clothing. So many things to look at in a small space.
They even have a train table and couple of animals on wheels for kids to ride on and scoot around. Definitely a place for your favorite nephew or niece, or your own spawn
