Very breezy when I was there in the evening. Very peaceful place, sit down and relax to have a coffee watching the lake. There are restaurants dotted around the area. Evening time there are people jogging and cycling around the lake. The place is not crowded. Can see the 东方之门 across the lake.

The new walkway around Jinji-Lake is wonderful. Especially at nighttime the lightshows around the lake are fantastic.

I didn't really like this lake because it's too commercialized. There is no clear bike trail. We bike 1/3 of the lake & walked 17 miles around the lake. If you want to see the dance water fountain at night, good luck. The were tsunami of peopl😱

We had a quick stop here just before heading to next destination. Didn’t have much time to enter any building there. The Lake itself is beautiful, nicely blended with the buildings along the band.

There's a boardwalk around the lake, and there were hand prints of local celebrities and prominent figures of the arts and film industry along the fencing, as if replicating the Stars Avenue of Hong Kong. Along this boardwalk, you'll get a good view of 大裤衩 (this building that looks like a pair of underpants) on one side and the Arts Center on the other. The night view of the buildings lit with changing lights is not bad but still a far cry from that of the Victoria Harbour or the Bund. Didn't help that the weather was so hot, even with the sun set, the breeze brings heated air. It was much better the next day after some rain (yes, we went back again for a walk after dinner).

I mostly enjoy walking around the 14 km pedestrian walkway around Jiniji Lake. It's a bit commercialized, but if you walk it late at night, it's peaceful and beautiful. AND...the only public drinking fountain I've found in China!! At least 5 of the spaced around the lake. Don't worry; the water is boiled, put in a holding tank, then pumped to the faucet as you drink from it. :-)
