Jiro Sushi and Grill

8.5/10 the staff was warm and friendly. The food was served quickly and all of the food was very fresh. The sushi chef brought out a speciality seared salmon which was our favorite. We ordered the Sushi Burrito which was served with two sauces and the Fantasy roll which were both light and flavorful.

This was our first time coming here and it did NOT disappoint. The food was delicious and fresh. We had 2 sushi rolls, 1 baked sushi roll and the spicy edamame with some white wine. The service was our favorite part though. It was obvious they are a local staple, as the staff were having check in conversations with their regulars. We couldn't recommend this place any more. We will be back!

Review based on one dinner here. Tried the salmon poke and a few of their rolls. I thought the portion of fish in the salmon bowl was pretty fair for the price. Next time would ask for just half the amount of sauce though. Rolls were fine but did not really stand out. Nice neighborhood sushi spot. I would go back here again.

This place is awesome!!! Great fresh, food!!. People are super nice and friendly!! I had the baked salmon roll and tempura combo. The roll just melts in your mouth with some delicious sweet yet savory after taste. The tempura was crispy and cooked very well. We also had the California roll, and the dragon roll. Along with egg rolls and gyoza. Yummmy 🥰🥰🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤 Thank you so much for our delicious dinner tonight. Side note:.(we had 5 in our party and payed just about 100) Sorry the pictures where not better we ate it before I remembered to take them 😅

The food was absolutely delicious, generously portioned, and the service was wonderful. The reviews raving about the food are why we decided to try dining here and we don’t regret it. We would highly recommend the tuna tower and 10pc sushi combo, and panic roll. The food and service we received did not disappoint and worth the cost. Sometimes the smaller restaurants are truly the best!

Food was delicious! The service was amazing! My waitress was very nice and helpful. Definitely coming back for more of the Caribbean Roll — it was so good! Wasn’t a fan of the mango mochi but the matcha one was good. Vegan/vegetarian friendly— the Jiro Veggie Roll was the best vegan roll I’ve had so far.

We were out of our normal bubble and ready for dinner and drinks. We stumbled upon Jiro and it was AMAZING. We set at the sushi bar with KJ and he made us the most phenomenal dinner. We had spicy edamame, Dragon Balls, seaweed salad and squid, spicy tuna roll, seared salmon, and the specialty roll on the board with our drinks. Everything was fantastic and the service was warm and friendly. We definitely enjoyed our experience at Jiro! We live a bit away but I know we’ll be back!!

Jiro Sushi and Grill is one of those unassuming spots that surprises you with its quality. It’s not flashy or trying too hard, but the sushi is fresh and well-prepared. I got takeout, and they had everything ready pretty quickly, which is always a plus. The fish was fresh, the rolls were well-balanced, and they didn’t skimp on portions. It’s the kind of place you might overlook at first, but if you’re in the area and craving good sushi without a long wait, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Really nice mom and pop sushi restaurant. I love how welcoming and attentive the staff was. I got the no rice cucumber roll and my friend got the stirfry beef with vegetables and rice. Sushi roll wash fresh and beef was flavorful! A nice sushi restaurant close to home for us!

The spicy tuna roll and tuna maki roll were delicious! Service was awesome--shoutout to the staff and sushi chef(s). It's a small restaurant but it's not a bad thing. Nice and cozy!

Wow, just wow. This place is truly deserving of their high reviews. We came for sushi and everything we ordered was delicious, perfect and outstanding. 5 out of 5 for sure. If i could give it a 6 out of 5, I would. The service was exceptional and extremely friendly. The owners are Korean and their sushi really reminded me of sushi from Seoul. They were extremely kind and gave us free snacks and cut oranges after our meal. Let's talk about their sushi. I've ordered a variety, from salmon, pepper tuna, seared salmon, eel, squid and so on. Their cuts are perfect. Not too thin nor too thick. Texture was smooth and the fishes were fresh with no fishy smell. They really know how to keep their supply fresh and prepare it well. My sister got the ex boyfriend roll and mind you, she's a bit picky with her sushi. She ended up liking her order and ate it all. Miso was perfectly balanced and light. My husband's fried squid legs was delicately fried and tastes perfect. A wonderful experience with good food. Definitely my favorite sushi spot in all of Dallas. I would definitely be back every time I'm in town! Thank you for a great meal Jiro!

The staff was so delightful! The waitress, Sung, was adorable! They were attentive, polite, and smiled a lot, which was so refreshing. The sushi and rolls were fresh and portioned well for the price. We will definitely come back when we are in this part of town.

Because so many of their Yelp reviews refer to this sushi as "the best they've ever had" my expectations were VERY high. Those expectations were not met. Was their food good at decent prices? Was the service friendly? Was the atmosphere inviting? Yes... yes... and yes. I made the mistake of ordering the 20-piece sashimi based solely on those high expectations, but in hindsight probably should have tried other things. It was a lot of "just okay" sashimi to get thru tbh. Some slices were rather tough; none were "melt in my mouth" or even close. 3.5 stars rounded up for reasons unrelated to the food itself.

I have been living in the Dallas Metro plex area for a little while now and this by far the best Sushi Gem in the Dallas Metro plex area. Great staff and such a please to come in this restaurant. I just love their food and great service. If you want some great traditional Sushi come here!

They have an updated lunch menu now (that I forgot to take a picture of). I got the $15 roll combo which included miso soup, 2 rolls from a special list, a side salad, and 3 pieces of fried veggie/gyoza. Great value and the salmon was fresh! Service was friendly as always. Looking forward to coming back again for lunch!

Solid local sushi restaurant. Nothing fancy or flashy. Just very consistent and high quality food. Great place to order a large to-go order for my family. Price is reasonable and it never disappoints. Love supporting small restaurants like these, hope they stick around for the long run.

The best sushi in Dallas! In fact, beyond Dallas. I live in South Florida & have fresh fish & sushi often. Jiro is by far one of my favorite places. I fly in weekly to work in Coppell and come here every week. I have introduced this place to everyone I know & they all agree. The Exgirlfriend & Tango rolls are two of my faves, but I have enjoyed everything! I will be back for my weekly fix.

This restaurant was highly recommended so I came in for dinner. Staff is very friendly & attentive they will tell you about all the specials when you sit down which was nice! I got the popcorn crawfish & the calamari tempura to start but both really lacked flavor, even the dipping sauce was bland. They didn't use any kind of seasonings so maybe pass on the fried appetizers. Next we got the temptation roll & ahi tuna tower which were really good & tasted fresh. FYI they do serve beer, wine & sake but no cocktails.

I've had sushi at some of the top restaurants in Dallas, LA, NYC and London and there are days where Jiro Sushi tops all of those experiences. The salmon just melts in your mouth. The Heart Attack appetizer is unlike anything I've ever had/seen. No other place compares nearby. I love sitting at sushi counter and asking questions because you learn more about process. Sushi is an art form. I try to come once a week to get my fix. The place is always clean and well maintained.

Amazing service, from start to finish was treated like family! The sushi is fresh, tastes great, and (being a big guy that eats a lot) the portions are also big. Took my girlfriend here for dinner and she agrees that this is our sushi spot from now on. 11/10 would recommend this clean, friendly, and delicious sushi restaurant to everyone!

Awesome atmosphere at Jirō SushI. The staff is very attentive to your needs as a customer. Special thanks to the Manager Sunny who is always on point. Overall it's a super place to dine and enjoy as a family. Kudos to KJ the sushi chef who knows his craft exceptionally well. Some of the best sushi I've ever had. I was visiting the Dallas area for a trip and came upon this family business. The staff is very sweet and very attentive. I tried the gyoza, yellowtail maki roll, golden California roll, and banana paradise. The gyoza wasn't my favorite, but it was truly some of the best sushi I've ever had. The dessert was also very very delicious. The inside of the restaurant is very cute and decorated very nicely. Truly a must try!

Best sushi ever! I lived in Japan and have had excellent sushi experiences in many locations but Jiro is amazing. Unpretentious but stellar! Hidden in plain sight in a Coppell shopping center with Trek bikes. Do yourself a favor and give it a try! You won't be sorry.

Great little spot near home for some Japanese food. Very friendly staff and helpful. Had the edamame spicy to start off, different sushi rolls as well. We also tried the ahi tower and fried rice with steak. We loved everything and the quality of ingredients were fresh. Thank you all so much.

This is an outstanding, family owned and operated restaurant. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The food is always delicious and amazing. My favorite is usually the poke bowl, but every roll I have tried at Jiro Sushi tastes wonderful and ends up being my favorite until the next new roll I try. Jiro Sushi is my go-to restaurant for sushi in the Valley Ranch area.
