The pricing is fair and reflects the quality of both the tea and the ambiance. The server was highly knowledgeable and prepared the tea with great finesse. She also shared insights about the history of the tea and explained how to prepare it ourselves. There's a charming shop where you can purchase teapots, cups, and other tea accessories. The space also features an art gallery, adding to the cozy and inviting atmosphere. This is a must-visit spot when you're in Jiufen.

Absolutely surreal and soulful — the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor the moment. Nestled in the heart of Jiufen Old Street, this historic teahouse offers not just tea, but a full sensory experience. Prices are on the higher side (Oolong tea from 800–1600 NTD), and there’s a 120 NTD service fee per person — but it’s completely worth it for the view, ambience, and service. What I loved most? The tea ceremony itself. A staff member patiently walked me through every step: warming the set, measuring the leaves, brewing techniques, and timing. Then, they let me try it all myself. You really feel part of the tradition, not just a guest. They give you a full 30g of tea, divided into 6 neat portions — we used just 1, and they kindly packed the rest for us to take home. The included snack add-ons paired perfectly with the tea. The table comes with an instruction card and a lovely postcard by a local artist ( i think the owner) — such thoughtful touches. Whether you’re a tea lover or just here for the view and tranquility, Jiufen Teahouse is a gem you shouldn’t miss.

Located along Jiufen Old Street, this charming spot is both a teahouse and an art gallery. I stopped by just to check it out and the place has a quiet, artistic vibe with interesting displays and ceramics. Didn’t stay long, but it’s worth a quick visit if you’re exploring the area.

Jiufen Old Street has always been one of my favorite local spots to eat and enjoy nature. Jiufen Tea House is a gem—great tea and such a cozy vibe. The perfect spot for a rainy day afternoon tea. The warm and welcoming staff showed us how to make tea—we’ll definitely be returning!

The view is beautiful (if you can sit near it) and the tea was okay. You can brew tea and also order snacks. There were many tourists but the environment was quiet and comfortable. The people were very nice and showed us how to brew. Overall a great experience but slightly overpriced

A lovely way to spend the afternoon avoiding the crowds of the Jiufen shops and stalls....and oasis in the calm. Drank enough tea to sink a battleship and then were revitalised to hit the steps of the old town. Recommended!

An unforgettable and authentic tea experience We spent several wonderfully relaxing hours at Jiufen Teahouse and were truly impressed by the exceptional service and atmosphere. The entire staff – especially Hsiaopu – guided us through a traditional tea ceremony and introduced us with great knowledge and passion to the rich world of Taiwanese teas. Seated on the terrace with a beautiful view, we sampled a variety of exquisite teas and felt warmly welcomed and perfectly taken care of throughout our visit. The calm, serene ambiance made it easy to lose track of time. The teas are priced at the higher end, but they are absolutely worth every cent – not only for the outstanding quality but also for the unique experience and attentive service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to immerse themselves in Taiwan’s tea culture.

Great tea with wonderful view, hiding away from the busy crowed alleyways of Jioufen. Good selection of tea and tea sweets. Every table will be served by one staff to demonstrate how to brew the tea correctly, very attractive multilingal service. Highly recommend for all visitors, please be mindful when enjoying this teahouse with soft talking.
