Food were actually superb just like the reviews we were looking at. The Beef were well cooked that it were still very juicy but the marinate was soaked into the meat and makes it so delicious. All the food we ordered were super yummy. Staffs are nice. English menu available and staffs speak English very well. Portions are decent. We are very happy after we left the restaurant. It gets crowded eventually so you might need to wait a bit before you got a seat.

Unfortunately, no Hanton rice. However, they recommended i try their half and half (small omurice, small hayashi, and a croquette). It was very delicious, and my favorite was the omurice! I recommend a stop if you're around - the menu had a lot of interesting choices which I'm sure are quite tasty.

A good old restaurant with an old Japanese-European ambiance. Don't go there if you aren't patient in case you'd have to wait as it's a small restaurant. Thier speciality, Omurice was fantastic. I'd go there for it again if I visit Kanazawa again. The people were friendly and attentive, and processed orders swiftly.

The presentation of Jikuyen was excellent. We were seated at a traditional low-seating table which had heated floors. The staff sat down with us to take our order and following this an excellent fried rice omelette (Omerice) was delivered, alongside my partners pork Katsudon, served with miso soup. This restaurant had all the trappings of what you would expect of an establishment in Kanazawa. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone, it is worth a short trip.

Came here in a typhoon day, but the inside is warm. Right after we took a seat a cup of ice tea and a pair of hot towel were served. The staff noticed that we don’t speak Japanese and immediately gave us an English menu. The service here is very well and makes you feel comfortable. Both Japanese style food and western style food are served here. There’re various options and ultimately we pick the beef katsudon and omurice. The beef of the beef katsudon is very juicy and the sauce perfectly marinate the beef and the rice. The omurice is quite special since inside of the fried egg is some kinds of soy sauce fried rice, tastes also very well.

Omurice and hayashi rice are the stars of the show here. I’d recommend getting the “half and half” so you can try both. The croquette is on another level and highly recommended. This place fills up pretty quickly and can have a long queue. I recommend going right when they open.

Rice plates are delicious and filling. Ordered the Half and Half: Omurice (soy sauce fried rice omelette) and Hayashi Rice with croquette. The omurice had bites of beef in it and the rice was so creamy, best omelette I’ve had in Japan so far. The hayashi rice was interesting, a lot of onion and the sauce tasted like it was ketchup based. The croquette was the perfect mix of crab meat and cream. Seating was either bar seats or low tables (on tatami mats).

Yelp
Really liked the place. Went there for a dinner with a friend. Wanted to try there signature omirice (omlette wrapped around fried rice) but also had a proper meal - so we ordered set menu with some of their each meat, salad and followed waiter suggestion to replace rice with omirice. We also had hot sake. It was tasty, especially beef, fried prawn and omirice. Maybe it was a bit too simple and slightly westernized, but still nice and for good price. Would give food istelf 4 but rounded whole score to 5 for excellent service - quick, sharp and speaking good english.
