Stayed at JJ Cottage, Munnar and had a great experience overall! The rooms are simple but super clean and well-kept, and the location is perfect—close to the KSRTC bus stand. It’s a budget-friendly, no-frills place, so don’t expect luxury, but for the price it’s excellent value, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and convenient stay in Munnar.

After paying ₹1250 for the room, the hotel (in Munnar) charged an outrageous and highly inflated ₹1700 damage fee for a single bedsheet that was only 'a little shrink.The fee was 136% of the room price itself. The owner was extremely unprofessional and insisted on the fee despite the lack of significant damage. This constitutes an unfair trade practice. Be cautious of being hit with exorbitant, baseless charges upon checkout." Owner litterly unprofessional, old man thinks he owns munnar and way of speaking to tamil people was rude, room size 10×10 square feet we cant able to walk and even we cant sit and eat Warning to all tamil people - dont go here , old man behaviour is very worst and money minded once you go, and you thinks like room rent is low - here you got trapped.. this people will charge each and everything like cleaning, water service and there is no room service Think before you go to this wasteland

Good place,near to KSRTC, restaurant., neatly maintained, recommended for families.Eventhough room is small but nice to be there. Very well staff and neatly maintained rooms.

i travelled just 1 day before and i stayed for 3 days and price is good i booked for 1800 for room number 5 and 1400 and owner is too friendly and helpful and he provided hot water for my baby .

Stayed there for 4 nights. Probably the nicest room I stayed in India during my trip (backpacker budget). Renovated, great shower, hot water around the clock, mattress, big window… all you can ask for amazing price. There’s a very rich library in the hall and to top it all, the hosting family are so kind and welcoming. Easy going, passing their calm energy from the moment you walk in. Highly recommend.

Such a good stay! We got recommended this hotel by our previous hotel manager in Alleppey and our lonely planet India book, and it did not disappoint at all. Very clean and comfy rooms, hot showers, and the service was 10/10. Extremely friendly people, and did not overcharge for rooms… a very cheap and high quality stay. They do laundry too. It was a great location, close to the main city, bus stops, tuk tuk stand, restaurants, and BEST of all- there is a network of trails down the street from the hotel (5min) that takes you directly into the tea plantations… I went for an hour walk and did not see a single person, I’m telling ya- this place was 10x more peaceful than any of the touristic tea plantation spots, and much more beautiful. Overall a 10/10 stay, I wish their business the best!

This was an amazing hotel. The price was very good, so good in fact that I was a little worried initially. However, the room was very clean, and the bathroom was even cleaner. It was way better than my expectations for what we paid. The staff was very attentive and they even offer a service for ₹15 apiece. There was a fan in the room, and air-conditioning was not present, however, you would never need it as it gets pretty cool at night. Though we didn’t do it, they can even offer guided tracks and tea, plantation tours, all for very competitive rates. It is very close by to a number of great places to eat, and extremely close to a bus station, tuk tuk drivers, and a convenience store.

I booked a family room in September 2024, the room was quite spacious. (18x12 feet). There was a king size bed and they also gave one extra bed. hot water available. location is good, pure veg south indian restaurant is just 100 mtrs. away.
