JJ Midcity Inn

Stayed here for a work trip and had a decent time. It was recommended by the taxi driver from the airport. Room was tidy, breakfast meal was filling, and the location close to the city hall and a park was really good for when I wanted to explore after work. Only complaint was that the walls are a little thin and I could hear the kids from the other room playing.

Rooms are really comfortable, there is a little less space but it's still really nice, they have AC and a fan in the room. Service is 10/10, they're kind and always helpful, and they're there for you 24/7 The breakfast is the best, you can choose anything and I guarantee you it'll be delicious, you get plenty choices, with drinks as well. All of this for a really great price as well

Well it's a nice place to have a meal, like breakfast, then at night you can have a solemn night drinking for a couple beers or maybe have to sing in a room karaoke area, then have a rest if you have a meeting here in their nice and cozy rooms.

Accommodation at the Midcity Inn is value for money. I stayed in a double deck room, priced reasonably at 1099, which included a complimentary breakfast. The room was clean and well-maintained, with an efficiently working air conditioner. The toilet has hot and cold showers, along with a dental and hygiene kit - a thoughtful touch. Hotel staff on duty was the friendly and accommodating. The location of the inn is a major plus. It’s situated right at the town center, offering easy access to the church, city hall, parks, and a variety of restaurants. Additionally, the convenience of having 24/7 stores nearby was a bonus. Overall, my experience at the Midcity Inn was satisfying. It’s a good choice for anyone looking for comfortable, convenient, and affordable accommodation in Tabaco City.

Needed accommodation for 12 hours before catching a ferry the next day. There are stairs up to reception from the street (PWDs note). The impression is of a clean well appointed establishment. There is a cafe immediately to the left of reception. ₽1200 paid plus ₽500 refundable deposit. The room was small. Literally you could not swing a cat. The double bed occupied the width of the room. The space between bed and door was about 1.5mx0,7m the toilet/shower room is of similar dimensions accessed by sliding door. The cubical is glazed wall to ceiling with frosted glass. There was a TV but no remote. I operated it by buttons on the back of the set. BBC World News (channel 42). There were hooks on the wall and a single wooden coat hanger. The aircon was quiet and efficient. The bed clean and comfortable. I have never stayed in such a small room. It will not be my first choice in the future.

The hotel was good budget friendly. The foods and drinks was great. But one thing that marked my visit in this hotel is the on duty receptionist. She has a bad attitude . Yes, she entertain us but when we're going to check-in in our room one of my family member notices that she gossip to his Co-duty and make face with us. She needs more training when it comes to hospitality industry. As a receptionist she needs to be polite all the time in any kind of guests. I hope the management will be aware of this. This the first time we encountered like this situation. We checked-in July 28 , 2022 in the afternoon.

1st we booked last minute because we were looking for a place to sty since we reached Tabaco around 12 and planned to stay for less than 12 hours. Upon booking, they gave us an option for a large bed. But they insist that we booked a bunkbed type room. The rooms are SUPER small and stuffy. Like 2x2 sq mts. Generally, they are as big as bathrooms. The bed feels itchy and smells like an old room. No floor rugs for bathroom, cold shower at night and super hot water in the morning, and they say they have parking, there ain't no proper parking. You can park when tenants below closes their stores. And if you get really lucky, you get a knock at your door at 1AM from the guard asking you to move your car because a party goer who parked before you is leaving. I suggest, go to next hotel. 2 points are for the friendly guard and housekeeping.

You know us and I wished we could give a better rating but we have to be honest. The service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was nice and reasonable. But! 😳 This is NOT the place for older folks with knee issues. The walk up to the lobby was really steep. You'll have to crawl onto the bed 🙄 The KTV on the 3rd Floor isn't sound proof so unless you went up to the bar on the 4th floor to get a little high, you won't be able to rest until the singing stops. The bath was ☹️ this is not the place if you're looking for a spotless functioning bath. Hot water was one and off so during a bath, you would be freezing and scaled. Not a fan! The aircon can get crazy cold and the remotes are not in the best conditions. Young adults with friends on a shoe string buget would likely find this acceptable. How and why I ended up here ... Well, let's just say I wasn't the one planning this trip 😅 I won't be back for sure 😆
