"At Jalan Alor satay skewers smoke over open flames while plastic stools spill into the road, a street-level scene that captures the layered Malay, Chinese and Indian culinary life travelers come to find." - Hana Al-Khodairi
6 food streets all true foodies must visit in South-east Asia - SilverKris
"A bustling Bukit Bintang lane lined with dozens of hawker stalls and plastic seating, serving a wide range of Malaysian street foods — oyster omelette, satay, popiah, fried jackfruit and abundant seafood — and growing livelier at night with occasional street performers despite narrow lanes where cars sometimes pass close to diners." - DAVE STAMBOULIS
The Main Street is hectic and expensive. Go back a couple of streets, get away from the hordes and you will find great food at half the price. The Indian place in the photos is a ripper but there are a few Thai places close that are well priced too.

The perfect place for those who want to try Asian street food and more. The street is not long but it is lined on both sides with dozens of restaurants and mobile stands selling delicious food. It is a very interesting mix of light, color, and crowd. I would stay there for a week or even longer, to taste everything!

Please visit Alor Street if you're looking for multicultural food, especially seafood & durian✨
The food is quite good but not really that fancy.
The crowd is a bit overwhelming for me but I always come back here again‼️

You should not miss visiting this place when in Kuala Lumpur. If you are a non-vegetarian then it's a food heaven for you but even vegans can find food for themselves.
I went there twice and had amazing food at Cu Cha restaurant and even better mango sticky rice and mango juice.
Absolutely worth adding this place to your itinerary.

I guess a good spot for being exposed to multiple local street food spots. Fruits, seafood, meat, all in street carts. Very lively, and packed at nights. Combination of tourists and locals, relatively affordable, worth the visit.
