The gap between the bed and mattress was messy, and it seemed like they don’t clean unless bed sheet and duvet. No wonder someone had reported bed bugs, though thankfully it was not the case for me.
My pillow had mold, which suggested that it hadn’t been washed under the cover.
Of course, the experience may differ depending on who you share the room with. In my case, the lights were turned off quite early at night, so everyone had to rely on my flashlight. It was also annoying that one guest left their alarm snoozing for almost an hour in the morning. Since they turned it off straight away each time, they could have simply switched it off.
People were snoring, bumping the bed frames, and making noise, even if unintentionally. I had to check out at 3 a.m., so I packed my things and organized them outside to avoid disturbing others, but in the end, neither I nor the sharers were somewhat bothered.
The drawer located at the bottom of the bunk bed was also awkwardly placed, as it meant you couldn’t help but look at the person staying on the lower bunk while accessing it.
I’ve stayed at other hostels where there were private sleeping spaces or at least curtains around the bed, so you could control your own light and avoid disturbing others. Compared to those places, this one was not that easy to stay in. You definitely need to bring a sleep pad and earplugs for a better night’s rest.
At check-in, I didn’t notice much, but at check-out the staff were casual and helpful, which I appreciated.
