JO&JOE Wien

An Outstanding Stay at Jo&Joe This was, by far, the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. The bedroom and bathroom were extremely comfortable, and all the facilities were impeccably clean, functional, and stylish. I interacted with several staff members, and without exception, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They truly made the stay even more enjoyable.

A perfect place to stay, if you are not expecting a hot tub, satellite TV, or any TV to watch with friends. Nevertheless, I would enjoy it even more if the room had a small table with a few chairs. The upper bunk beds are simply too high to talk with friends downstairs, not to mention having a beer or whatever else. And sink is supposed to be there where toilet seat is, not there were shower is. I can't sing in shower such small, i need scienic space!

Staying at this hostel was such a fun twist, being located right on top of IKEA and just steps away from Wien Westbahnhof, where you can easily catch a train or bus to the airport. It has one of the largest common areas I’ve see, two floors, and the open-concept bar makes it easy to meet people. The rooms were spacious even with 6 beds, and having a clean in-room toilet and shower was a big plus. Overall, the place had a very trendy, modern vibe that made the stay really enjoyable.

I will admit, when I first met Joe upon arrival I was a little bit apprehensive as he was very tall, muscular, and intimidating. Besides, I was a little bit late to arrive. But it turns out looks aren't always what they seem, as Joe was the loveliest owner I have ever met. He personally showed me around the hostel, and wow was I impressed. He helped me settle in, and even assisted me with unpacking my bags and tidying away other people's belongings that unfortunately were strewn all over the floor (some people have no hostel sense!). I decided to hit the town, and asked Joe where the best spot was to meet new people and make friends in Vienna, and he recommended me Travellers Shack, which wasn't too far away. I had a great night off the back of a great recommendation and that's an aspect of service I really appreciate when travelling the continent. You don't see that every day! But the great service doesn't end there, as when I arrived back from the club (maybe I had one too many cocktails), and I wanted to talk to everyone!, luckily the other Joe who I hadn't met yet was sitting at the bar and he was more than happy to talk to me! In fact, he even went so far as to turn on the buildings heating as I said it was too cold and he brought a blanket and warm milk into my dormitory. Upon waking up, he greeted me with a smile alongside the other Joe and wished me a good morning and helped me carry my bags down the lift after I checked out. I wasn't sure which button to press and they guided my finger towards the E button. (these buttons in Austria never make sense!). All in all I couldn't recommend this hostel more to anyone and a special kudos to the owners who made my stay truly special.

The room amenities is lacking of hair dryer…. But other than that, all good. Location is just right beside westbanhnof which is strategic especially when you need to set off to somewhere else the next day. Didn’t get the chance to visit the ikea below but quite cute to have that. Overall pretty satisfied with my stay. Quite safe as well!

Rooms are only ready starting at 3PM, so make sure you have something to do before arriving at the hostel. Overall a very pleasant stay with a cool vibe and lots of activities to do throughout the week. Located in Westbanhof, it's a very centralized area with easy access to buses, trams and subway stations that will take you pretty much anywhere you might wanna go in Vienna.

Jo&Joe’s Wien was a fantastic place to stay! It’s centrally located, making it easy to reach most of Vienna’s main attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, offering great recommendations and even inviting guests to the events they host. While the vibe is geared a bit more toward younger adults, there’s a wonderful mix of ages and cultures including families, which really adds to the overall experience. Being located above an IKEA gives it a unique charm, and the fun, creative décor definitely enhances the stay. A great choice for anyone looking for a lively and welcoming place in Vienna!

Probably the best hostel I have ever stayed in, it sets the bar really high. Great location, huge common areas on each floor, evets, very social, beautiful design, cool beds.
