I stayed at Joey’s Hostel Agra, and overall it was a nice experience. The rooms are decent, clean, and come with Wi-Fi, which is always a plus. But the real highlight is their café—having breakfast with a direct view of the Taj Mahal is truly a delight! 🌅 They offer amazing breakfast options, and I tried their buffet (₹350). Honestly, it was worth every single penny—not just for the view, but purely for the quality of the food. A special mention to Yash—such a sweetheart! 💙 There was a small inconvenience during my stay, but he handled it quickly and smoothly without any fuss. The rest of the staff were also very polite, humble, and well-behaved. For me, it was a comfortable stay. If I ignore the inconvenience, I’d give this place a solid 9/10. But factoring that in, my rating would be 7/10. Still, definitely worth a short stay if you’re in Agra!

The hostel/hotel was a very positive experience. We initially booked a private room for one night but ended up extending our stay. The room was clean, the shower had hot water, and the rooftop was definitely a highlight, beautiful and a perfect spot to relax. The staff was very helpful, and the breakfast (paid separately) was absolutely worth it, delicious! Just 4 minuts by walking to Taj Mahal. We definitely recommend staying here!

As a female solo traveller from Brazil, I can say that this is the best, most friendly, safe hostel I stayed in India. The staff is great; they are always ready to help you and they speak good English! The rooftop view with the restaurant is amazing. The single bedroom I got was incredible. I loved all the people I met there. I even extended my journey in one more day. I definitely recommend! Good for backpackers and solo travellers.

Helpful staff, few minutes from entry to Taj Mahal. Rooftop offers truely fantastico view and is also the place for food. Breakfast Buffet is simple, but nutritious for 300 INR. While waiting for sunset you can enjoy complementary Chai. One thing to improve: make rules for respectful coliving more clear = No phonecalls in dorm at 6 am and keep quiet after 1030 pm, turn off lights. Be nice.

We stayed at Joey’s in Agra for one night and had a room for two with a direct view of the Taj Mahal. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the entrance, and the view from the rooftop and even our room was unforgettable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. The room was simple but clean, and having the Taj Mahal right outside the window made the experience truly special. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Agra!

I really wanted to like this hostel. Besides the location to the Taj Mahal and the rooftop views, I am very weary about this hostel. On my only night there around 11:30 pm, I get a knock on my door from two men (probably reception) asking is everything is ok. I thought that was odd because I hadn’t suggested things weren’t ok. I said “yes I’m ok. I don’t need anything.” About 10 minutes later the men come knocking again and said that I have been calling them? That is 100% NOT true. Not once did I need to call them for anything. I was simply getting ready for bed as I had an early day the next morning to see the Taj. They insisted I opened my door and said “what do you need? I did not call. I do not need anything.” Then a THIRD time they came knocking on my door trying to open my door saying my full name and that they have received various calls from me. That was extremely false. At this point I felt violated, it was past midnight and I had to raise my voice at them and Tell them I want to sleep and to go away!! This was very unsettling as a woman traveler, especially being the men at reception who are the only ones who knew my full name and which room I was staying in. I do NOT recommend to any female solo travelers. Stay away. I don’t know what would have happened if I opened the door.

Joeys is no doubt very well located, only a short walk from the Taj Mahal. And the roof does have a lovely view of it. However, the hostel itself is not very nice, it was not very clean, the room we were in (private twin room) had no windows, it was small and dark and not a nice looking room. For the purpose of our stay, to see the Taj, this was fine but I would not recommend it other than for this, especially if you are a woman on your own, there were quite a few guys sat around, and the reception is in a different building to some of the rooms.

Amazing place 100% recommended! The staff is super kind and helpful, rooms are beautiful and clean, they have a rooftop bar with delicious food and drinks, breathtaking view of the Taj Mahal. We booked the deluxe room and got upgraded to the honeymoon suite for free. Our stay in Agra could not have been better. 🥰🙏
