Joey's Hostel Agra

stayed at Joey's Hostel when I visited the Taj Mahal, and it was an amazing experience! The hostel is just 150 meters from the Taj Mahal, which makes it super convenient. It's budget-friendly, clean, and comfortable. The best part is the rooftop view - the top view of the Taj Mahal from the hostel is absolutely fabulous and incredible. Early morning view from the terrace has no words... just breathtaking! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Agra. Definitely worth staying here!

I had an amazing stay at Joey’s Hostel, Agra for 1 day, and it turned out to be an experience I’ll always remember. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully managed. A huge shoutout to Rajeev, who was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. He helped us with several things that made our trip experience really, really good. One of the best parts was that he introduced us to a group of people who later became really good friends—something that made the stay even more memorable. Rajeev also arranged a biryani cooking session, where we learned how to make biryani and later enjoyed eating it together. It was such a fun and unique experience. After that, he organized a Taj Mahal tour, during which he shared interesting information and insights about the place and its history, making the visit even more meaningful. Once we returned to the hostel, Rajeev made sure we had everything we needed in our room for a comfortable stay. In the evening, he arranged a bonfire on the rooftop, where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. The food was absolutely great, and the overall vibe was just perfect. Another big plus point is the location—the hostel is very close to the Taj Mahal and within walking distance. You can even see the Taj Mahal from the rooftop restaurant while enjoying a cup of coffee, which is simply magical. Overall, our stay was nothing short of a memory worth keeping. All thanks to Rajeev and the management of Joey’s Hostel, who genuinely care about their guests and the experience they have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Agra and would love to stay here again.

Very good hostel, the staff is super friendly and the location is perfect for visiting the Taj. Just a short walk away. You can see it from the rooftop cafe where you can get very good food. We also did a tour with them where KK took us to meet his family and showed us the surrounding area of Agra. we had a very good time and he and his family are so lovely.

This hotel was simple, yet very cozy and exceptionally clean. The location is fantastic — just a 4-minute walk from the Taj Mahal, which is best visited early in the morning before the crowds arrive.||Breakfast is available for 300 rupees and is surprisingly delicious. The restaurant is located on the rooftop terrace, offering an amazing view of the Taj Mahal and the city of Agra — a perfect way to start the day.||The room was well equipped with toiletries, a tea and coffee set, as well as snacks such as chips, cookies, and chocolate. During the winter months, it’s also possible to rent a portable heater for the night for 300 rupees, which is very convenient.||Overall, a great value for money and a pleasant stay — would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Agra!

Nice hostel. Very good location within a foot walk to the Taj Mahal. There is also a terrace with a wonderful view of the Taj Mahal. Seemed to have a nice backpacking community. The hostel offers social activities which we liked (we did a chai masala class). Only small negative : our room didn’t have any window, but still a fair price/quality.

We are beyond pleased with our stay at Joey's Hostel - The room was very clean with a beautiful interior, which alone made us want to stay longer! The rooftop café had an awesome view of Agra and Taj Mahal. Besides that, the service was no second to best!! Rajeev is such a good, hospital, and kind manager, truly concerned with the guest's needs, and very friendly. We felt very welcome even tho we had annoying requests at times (I had forgotten something in the room and asked to go after check out; asked for a hairdryer at 1 am), still everyone was understanding and kind. The location is another plus for us as we were just 5 minutes away from Taj Mahal! Amazing place, a little heaven in the heart of Agra! We are thinking of our return already :>

The hostel staff is nice and helpful and it's excellently located next to the Taj Mahal. However when we arrived we were "upgraded" to a better room, but it turns out it was a room without any windows in another hotel next doors. Because of lack of ventilation the room very humid and moldy. Even though it was freshly renovated I think within one year it will be completely covered in mold, too bad! Our bed didn't have anything cover and the towels were also missing. ||We really enjoyed the roof terrace view and atmosphere, but the waiting time for the food could be improved (30+ minutes).

Absolutely incredible the staff are all amazingly helpful and friendly, the view from the rooftop cafe is incredible as you get a full view of the the Taj Mahal which the hostel is only a 5 minute walk from. The rooms are what you’d expect from a hostel and I had no problem with them.
