I had an amazing stay at Joey’s Hostel, Agra for 1 day, and it turned out to be an experience I’ll always remember. From the moment I arrived, everything felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully managed. A huge shoutout to Rajeev, who was absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make our stay truly special. He helped us with several things that made our trip experience really, really good. One of the best parts was that he introduced us to a group of people who later became really good friends—something that made the stay even more memorable. Rajeev also arranged a biryani cooking session, where we learned how to make biryani and later enjoyed eating it together. It was such a fun and unique experience. After that, he organized a Taj Mahal tour, during which he shared interesting information and insights about the place and its history, making the visit even more meaningful. Once we returned to the hostel, Rajeev made sure we had everything we needed in our room for a comfortable stay. In the evening, he arranged a bonfire on the rooftop, where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. The food was absolutely great, and the overall vibe was just perfect. Another big plus point is the location—the hostel is very close to the Taj Mahal and within walking distance. You can even see the Taj Mahal from the rooftop restaurant while enjoying a cup of coffee, which is simply magical. Overall, our stay was nothing short of a memory worth keeping. All thanks to Rajeev and the management of Joey’s Hostel, who genuinely care about their guests and the experience they have. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Agra and would love to stay here again.

Nice hostel. Very good location within a foot walk to the Taj Mahal. There is also a terrace with a wonderful view of the Taj Mahal. Seemed to have a nice backpacking community. The hostel offers social activities which we liked (we did a chai masala class). Only small negative : our room didn’t have any window, but still a fair price/quality.

This is the typical whole school in the middle of Agra old city where the noise is a bit less than in the central part but it has the typical. Let’s call it Indian touch with cows and dogs on the street and the corresponding smell. The owners are friendly and run the hostel decently as it’s a hostel and not a hotel The level of service, hygiene and infrastructure are nevertheless okay. Was not recommended for families but for backpackers who want to save some money and travel cheaply it’s quite okay. The best part is the rooftop from where you can see Taj Mahal. The Restaurant on the rooftop is not run by the same management as the hostel it’s a separate management but the combination is good for those who are sleeping in the front building heading towards the street.

Getting to Joey’s Hostel Agra is a bit tricky due to narrow, crowded lanes, best to insist on taking an auto or e-rickshaw. The surroundings may feel intimidating at first, but once inside, it’s completely safe and very welcoming. The Taj view from the open café is incredible!!! Probably the best among hostels in Agra. Helpful staff, free chai all day, fun activities, and great hospitality made it a memorable stay.

5 stars for the location, terrace, views, and service. The hostel is simple but has everything you need. You’re just a 4-minute walk from the Taj Mahal, the terrace has incredible views, and they organise free activities—afternoon sunset trips, local snacks to try, and unlimited chai throughout the day. Plus, the calm and quiet on the terrace is a real blessing compared to the noise on the street

I stayed at Joey’s Hostel Agra, and overall it was a nice experience. The rooms are decent, clean, and come with Wi-Fi, which is always a plus. But the real highlight is their café—having breakfast with a direct view of the Taj Mahal is truly a delight! 🌅 They offer amazing breakfast options, and I tried their buffet (₹350). Honestly, it was worth every single penny—not just for the view, but purely for the quality of the food. A special mention to Yash—such a sweetheart! 💙 There was a small inconvenience during my stay, but he handled it quickly and smoothly without any fuss. The rest of the staff were also very polite, humble, and well-behaved. For me, it was a comfortable stay. If I ignore the inconvenience, I’d give this place a solid 9/10. But factoring that in, my rating would be 7/10. Still, definitely worth a short stay if you’re in Agra!

The hostel staff is nice and helpful and it's excellently located next to the Taj Mahal. However when we arrived we were "upgraded" to a better room, but it turns out it was a room without any windows in another hotel next doors. Because of lack of ventilation the room very humid and moldy. Even though it was freshly renovated I think within one year it will be completely covered in mold, too bad! Our bed didn't have anything cover and the towels were also missing. ||We really enjoyed the roof terrace view and atmosphere, but the waiting time for the food could be improved (30+ minutes).

It is located very close to the Taj Mahal, and you can even see the monument from its rooftop restaurant — a lovely view! The host is very welcoming, and the place mostly attracts foreign travelers, creating a friendly, international vibe. However, I did have one unpleasant experience — there were bedbugs in my bed, and I couldn’t sleep at all that night. The staff shifted me to another room, but by then my sleep was already ruined. My humble request to the management: please fix this issue immediately, as it can spread quickly and affect other guests.
