The place is right in the center, just in front of the port, so it's a convenient spot for people passing by. I went there for a beer with friends first, we had the beer at the counter and the bartender was nice and funny. I came back for dinner, but unfortunately there was a long waiting time. They suggested that we wait at a nearby cocktail bar. While it turned out to be a good discovery, it ended up making us spend more than we had planned because we felt obligated to buy something there.
Anyway, when we finally got a table, they split our group into two tables and took our orders separately. As a result, when the food arrived, some of us were just starting to eat while others were already finishing.
I ordered the fish pie. It was good, a kind of revised cottage pie with a seafood chowder at the bottom instead of meat. It was a nice idea, and the overall taste was good. However, there seemed to be a small amount of fish compared to the potatoes on top, and the consistency was too liquid. Nevertheless, it was still okay.
On the other hand, I wasn't pleased when one of my friends ordered a Caesar salad with eggs and received her meal as the last person, after everyone else had already finished. To make matters worse, she only received a plain green salad and half an egg!
Despite these hiccups, it's still a good spot to grab a quick bite.
