What a wonderful off the beaten path gem. The address of John Derian is on Commercial when in fact it is actually down an alley off of Commercial. The boutique itself is a little dark and mysterious, but it is full of unique, beautiful pieces. The unique platters, dinnerware, and drinkware that caught my eye were the astier de villatte pieces. They were simple and white yet truly gorgeous. Sadly they are completely out of my budget. I would have loved to be able to buy a couple of pieces to use on our dinner table, but it truly is not feasible for us when you add up the cost of place setting. I highly suggest making your off of Commercial, down the alley and finding yourself in John Derain. If for no other reason than to take in all the beautiful works.

A gorgeous store - but you need to look hard to find it. It's in the rear of a home off Commercial St. What you'll find is a mini version of the NYC store. Gorgeous ceramics, decor and objet and their stunning decoupage plates and platters. Clerk was well informed and very pleasant.

This is a hidden gem in Provincetown! Great place for host, thank you and any special occasion gifts. Everything is a mix of chic and rustic so it doesn't come off as pretentious or trying too hard. Definitely not a tourist trap and well worth the short venture off Commercial Street.
