John Kosovich Wines

I visited this winery yesterday. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming; it’s clear he is deeply passionate about winemaking. He also gave us wonderful recommendations for sightseeing around Swan Valley, which made our trip even more special. I ended up buying a bottle of Chenin Blanc and can’t wait to open it!

Wine tasting in underground cellar. A pity the wine selection given during the sampling were subpar. Did not buy any wine here. A pretty interesting winery with rich history dates back to 1920’s.

Great small and local winery with a really cool underground cellar. Owner was lovely and really knew his wines!

A small winemaker making high quality wines. Balanced oak, fruit and soil characteristics in all their wines from vineyards in their Swan valley and Manjimup vineyards.

This is a magical location to experience, there is a sense of exploration as you approach the cellar door and enter into the French White Oak barrel chamber stacked from floor to ceiling, a walk down the landing stairs leads underground into yet another beautiful room packed with vines from the estate vineyards. My personal pick is the Cabernet - Malbec. I had to buy one instantly, you will too!

Love the underground cellar, we visited especially to get our hands on their 74 muscat but after a tasting came away with a few bottles!

I'm a huge fan of John Kosovich wines - they are simply delicious. And visiting the underground cellar door is a must when visiting the Swan Valley!

We had a fantastic experience visiting this winery today. The underground cellar where you do tastings is cool, stylish and really authentic. The manager gave us a lot of great information about his wine and the region. We had a one of one tasting experience so it was really personal!

Here's a little gem in the heart of Swan Valley! With a rich history dating back generations and a cellar door that's actually in a cellar, John Kosovich Wines is a must if you are looking for great examples of wine in the Swan Valley. Some beautiful Shiraz this year and their 2010 cab sav was a personal favourite of mine (think it's all gone now) but my god the rare muscat! Now listen carefully... if you buy anything BUY THE RARE MUSCAT! it's worth every cent! Like liquid gold on the tongue (not that I've drunk gold but I imagine this is what it would taste like if I did drink it and not metallic poison) It has great atmosphere! Plenty of wine barrels on display to wander past on your way down and be sure to mention the football as Nick Kosovich is a fan!

Coolest cellar door! Walk down the stairs and enter the cellar that is used as a cellar door as well as where they store their wine casks for aging. Great setting for tasting wines from knowledgable staff. The wines are delicious and although the range is not large I couldn't fault either the reds or the whites. Beautiful little spot to stop in and definitely worth the visit on the tour of the valley. Doesn't take large groups but I think it would lose some of its appeal if it did.
