Purchased from John Lewis and waited a week for delivery. When their delivery crew arrived on Monday they were full of attitude and simply didn't want to deliver the item because it was heavy and he had a sore wrist. They claimed there was insufficient room to manoeuvre and refused to deliver and install the wash tower. We had to follow-up with their shipping dept who refused to listen to anything we had to say, despite providing the dimensions of our access and hallway which was almost twice the width of the product being delivered. Long and short of it, we had to cancel the order with John Lewis because they flat out refused delivery. Ordered the item from another well known company yesterday which was delivered and installed today (Wednesday) with no issue and no fuss. Drivers today couldn't believe our delivery was refused by John Lewis. Will NEVER order from them again. I hope this serves as a warning to others. Hopefully they have enough ethics to post my review with video and photos. Hopefully they take action with their shipping dept, be it, in-house or contractors. Clearly delivery should never have been refused.

Unbelievable how Unbelievable unkept the cafe on the 4th floor. pretty much every table was full of cups and dining waste. The staff walked around and went back empty handed on 4 occasions while was there. people complaining about delays in food. There was no sign of management no sign of pride, zero engagement. Don't get me wrong I love shopping in John Lewis, I love to treat my wife and daughter. The reason we didn't eat was if the outside service was like a bomb had hit it I couldn't imagine what the food prep area was like. get a grip... I wouldn't have given any star but it was the lowest option available!!!

Through to Leeds John Lewis, went to top floor cafe. Nice selection of sandwichs . My wife and I had soup, this was great value and warming on a cold day. Latte and soup plus bread bun £9.40 Later on went back and had cream tea and coffee £8.75. Cafe very clean staff polite service good. Lovely store to look round, my wife also bought new dressing gown. Super quality and last for years. As always a nice experience to shop at John lewis

I bought a bosch speaker on 9 October. This was sent out on the 10 October and JL messaged me to say it was ready to collect. When I went to collect the speaker, I was told it had been recalled by JL. I spoke to customer services who advised it had been recalled due to a fault with the product and I would be refunded within 7 days. Since then I have found the item was not recalled by Bosch but was recalled by JL because they had mis-priced the speaker. Rather than being honest and saying this, they have tried to place the blame with the manufacturer and lied. I spoke to customer services again last Friday (nine days after ordering) because I still had not been refunded. Eventually they confirmed they had received the speaker back and my refund would now be processed but it may take some time because they have lots of other customers also waiting for a refund. How reassuring (not)!! It's now 12 days since I ordered from JL. I have never been in receipt of the item I ordered, they recalled it without informing me leading to a wasted journey to collect it. I have spend well over an hour on the phone and chat to them. They have repeatedly lied about what had happened and they are still witholding my money. I have been a loyal customer of JL for many years but will be shopping elsewhere in future. The trust has been broken.

Always nice visiting John Lewis, the car park next to it is possibly one of the best car parks in the UK. Easy to navigate, safe, clean and easily accessible.

I have recently had the most pleasant interaction with Isabelle- one of the Dyson team members and shop floor sales. I came over with no intention of purchasing any item, but when interacting with such a charismatic, friendly and knowledgeable person such as Isabelle, gave me enough confidence to make an informed purchase. Thank you, Isabelle for you time and great customer focus!

Not happy at all, as it feels like I've been misled and I am thoroughly disappointed with John Lewis's service. I'll be recommending that everyone I know stay away as the customer service isn't what it used to be. I purchased a TV using part cash and by claiming a couple of e-vouchers for John Lewis e-gift cards because the price was better than elsewhere and I wouldn't have claimed them for John Lewis if the TV hadn't been that price. They then cancelled and refunded to a gift card, then raised the price of the TV, which feels like they did this so that people would claim vouchers with them and then they'd have to spend them with John Lewis when they got refunded. Spoke to a customer service representative on the phone who said that they would be able to refund the gift card balance to cash (they had confirmed this several times) and told me to ring the gift card department to get this sorted (they gave me the number of a TV phone-in contest instead of their other department) and then I was told by another representative that they couldn't do this and that they wouldn't honour the price of the TV due to a 'pricing error'. I am currently escalating this, as I believe that the money should be refunded in cash, or that, ideally, the price should be honoured for the TV.

I experienced the worst customer service I have known at the Leeds store. I went to buy a microwave. The department was deserted apart from 2 young men chatting at the cash point. I informed them which one I wanted and then asked how I would collect it. I was told to drive to the customer collection point, if there was any spaces available. When I asked what would happen if I couldn't park I was told I'd just have to carry it. When I said I couldn't and was in fact parked right next to the doors at the top of the escalator next to the department, they said I could have it delivered for 19.99. I said I needed it that day and did they have a trolley I could use, they said no just baskets. Thats when I left. I believed that as one of the few traditional department stores still on the high street they still provided good customer service, I was wrong. I went to another shop where a young assistant carried a microwave to my car and loaded it into my boot. I was so upset and angry I wrote to customer services informing them . I got an automated answer promising a reply in the following 24 hours, a week later I was still waiting. I sent another saying I had no answer from customer services, getting the same automated reply, that was a week ago, I'm still waiting. Obviously when customer service ignore complaints about their own department they are not going to care about the service in the stores. After another bad experience in the cafe at the Bournemouth store last month I will not be in any hurry to visit any John Lewis store again

Yelp
John Lewis & Partners is located in Victoria Gate, it is my favourite department store in Leeds city centre, the store is a good size, it is fairly modern so the store looks good. The store is over five floors, the selection is pretty good overall, they did have a nice selection of men's bags and televisions in particular. The technology section was just OK, other John Lewis stores do it better, I wish they had a nicer selection of more high-end laptops in terms of specifications, a mix of laptops to suit all budgets and needs would be one of the first ways I'd improve the selection in-store. They had toilets over multiple floors, which is pretty convenient, the one downside to this is the cleanliness of the toilets, which were obviously dirty, perhaps they hadn't got round to cleaning the toilets on one floor yet? One of the things I hate most about John Lewis, which applies to most of their stores in the absence of a food hall, given the fact they also own a large supermarket chain (Waitrose), I don't see why a small selection of groceries or even food brands, which one would find in rival department stores such as Harvey Nichols and/or Selfridges isn't included here. Some other branches include a Joe and the Juice bar (or similar), which is absent here but would be a great improvement for the future. 4* - Very good John Lewis store, but many other John Lewis stores do it better.
