The Johnnie Walker Princes Street experience is a high tech whiskey novices experience. The tour itself is a fun, high-tech journey that brings the story of Johnnie Walker to life. Would love a more local hard to understand Scottish accent but the hosts enthusiasm and high energy was appreciated. The use of incredible technology, from multi-sensory rooms to engaging visual displays, makes the history and art of whiskey making feel modern and immersive. The entire experience is well-organized and a lot of fun. But the perfect way to cap it all off is definitely by booking a table at the incredible sky bar.

Despite not even being much of a Scotch whisky drinker, I thoroughly enjoyed the Johnnie Walker Experience tour at this location. They even sent me a flavor profile survey prior to the Experience to find out what I might like and then customized drinks based on that. The overall tour is really interesting and colorful. As others have said, this is really storytelling at its finest as you progress through different rooms and learn the many facets of Johnnie Walker's production techniques, history, and evolution. The tour guide even told us that the visuals were designed by someone who had previously done work for Disney (and it does have that "magical" feeling to it). There were moments I felt like I was walking through an art installation where you get served a few drinks. This tour was very well done and I was impressed. The gift shop has some nice takeaways too including some items (flasks, etc.) that can be customized on the spot to commemorate your visit. The staff and tour performers were all top notch.

This is a top notch tour of Johnnie Walker on Princess Street. This whiskey tasting tour was combined with visual and audio sensory of explaining the birth of this amazing product. It was presented in an animated exceptional way. In the early 1800s, Johnnie Walker used his inheritance money to open a grocery store. His creative side allowed him to blend single malts with high quality whiskey…..hence the delicious whiskey we drink today.

Visiting Johnnie Walker Princes Street was one of the best highlights of my trip to Scotland. It was an immersive, modern experience that combines tradition with storytelling in such a sleek and engaging way. The tour was incredibly well-organized and interactive. I loved how they tailored the tasting to my flavor profile using a short quiz at the start. It gave a personalized touch to the whole experience. The visit was both educational and fun. The views from the rooftop bar are stunning—overlooking Edinburgh Castle and the city skyline—and the cocktails up there were absolutely top-notch. It’s a great place to relax after the tour. I would say even if you do not prefer drinks, this place is a must visit for the experience.

Amazing experience on the Johnnie Walker Journey of Flavour tour costs £30 which was well worth it, including three cocktails on the tour for my partner's birthday booked in advance which we recommend to do. There are different types of tours. Our tour guide Michael was friendly and informative. After the tour Michael managed to get us two seats at the upstairs bar I would recommend pre booking the bar if you want to go after the tour. The food was amazing and plenty to choose from on the menu. The staff at the bar were friendly and provided suggestions on cocktails. The views from the bar were just amazing. We purchased from the shop we got 10% off as we had been on the tour the staff at the shop were very helpful. We look forward to visiting again. We would definitely recommend the tour and visiting the bar.

Johnnie Walker Princess Street, Edinburgh is a ‘gold plated’ attraction for visitors to the Scottish Capital. Fortunately it is also my home city. The attraction offers all manner of true Scotch Whiskies regardless of your budget constraints. I would recommend the excellent Whisky experience tour within along with a visit to the rooftop bar where one can enjoy an hour or so sampling the many products on offer. Take your camera with you as the rooftop bar provides a unique outdoor view of both Edinburgh Castle and the famous Princess Street as can be seen from the attached collection of photos I took during my visit… 5 stars doesn’t do it justice 🥃

An excellent experience that I would highly recommend to everyone! Georgia was a fantastic guide and very accommodating to our 11 year old boy. The story teller at the start (sorry I can’t remember her name) set the scene fantastically with her enthusiasm and story telling. 10/10

This is a haven for whisky lovers. Even though I'm not into whisky, totally enjoyed the tour. It was very well organised & is perfect for everyone! Started with a brief intro followed by a narration. The storyteller was superb & the acting was perfectly executed. We were handed a drink to enjoy during the show. There was an intro on the blends in the whisky. This was then followed by tasting session of the whisky. Each was entitled to two drinks. Those not into whisky could try the blends, I preferred the blends. The blends are available only in-house! Do book your tour in advance. There are a few times slots to choose from. You will certainly be impressed with the tour! I was!
