The Johnnie Walker Whisky Explorer Experience was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, it was immersive, informative, and so much fun. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, making the whole journey through the history and craft of Johnnie Walker truly engaging. The tastings were perfectly curated, offering a great variety of whiskies to suit all palates, and the interactive elements made it even more memorable. The venue itself is stunning, with great attention to detail in every part of the experience. Whether you’re a whisky enthusiast or just curious, this experience is a must when in Edinburgh. Highly recommend!

The Journey of Flavour tour was a great way to dive into the world of whisky. I really liked how it started with a quiz to match my taste preferences, making the whisky selections feel more personal. The storytelling throughout was engaging, and the guides were both knowledgeable and fun. Even if you’re not a whisky expert, the experience is designed to be enjoyable for everyone.

This is a must do when visiting Scotland. It was an amazing experience showcasing marvelous tales about the origin of Johnie Walker as well as tasting the delicious high ball cocktails. The tour is entertaining and keeps one focused. I loved starting out by determining my own taste profile, and everything hereafter was matched to this profile. I highly recommend this tour!

Last week, my partner and I joined a whisky tasting tour at the Explorers’ Bothy bar. The experience was fantastic! We tasted 5 different whiskies in a stunning room at the top of the building, with breathtaking views over Edinburgh. The guide was friendly and very knowledgeable, making the tour both engaging and enjoyable. With only three participants, we had the chance to connect more closely, sharing experiences and personal preferences about whisky. The entire venue is simply amazing—from the warm welcome to the rooftop bar, and even the shop, where the staff were attentive, kind, and very helpful. I can’t wait to return on my next trip to try another tasting!

Johnnie Walker Princes Street is definitely a stop you want to have on your itinerary for Edinburgh! I booked a seating for the STIR tasting despite not being an avid scotch whisky drinker but figured I should try some while in Scotland. From the moment I stepped into the Johnnie Walker building, I was very impressed with the experience and atmosphere the company presents as soon as you arrive. I had multiple team members greet me upon arrival & had one gentleman bring me all the way upstairs after I said I was early for a tasting so I could eat a something at the 1820 rooftop bar beforehand. He spoke with the host & quickly got me a seat and informed the other host for the tasting area that I had arrived. The two bartenders were very accommodating, checking on me frequently & being engaging while I was by myself. One bartender suggested the buffalo chicken appetizer, which was a fantastic recommendation, and I also would recommend the sourdough & feta. When I was finished, the hostess settled me into my spot for the tasting and I could tell this experience was going to be worth it based on the elevated mood of the room’s setup and decor. My small group had three very friendly, very knowledgeable & attentive staff members guiding us through the tasting experience. Reece, Miran & Iain were fantastic serving us the cocktails & food pairings and describing the origins & tasting notes of the particular whisky. I would definitely do this again when I’m able to visit Edinburgh again and would recommend upgrading the tasting to include the Blue Label course. I will be telling friends & family to add to their list!

Excellent experience. Whiskeys which we tested there were really extra ordinary. Very interesting Information along with it and food items were out of the world. The lounge where we are given this experience is of very high standards. Overall a must do if you are in Edinburgh. The roof top view is mind blowing. Even if you book a table at Sunset Terrace and enjoy your drink and food there, it’s one of its kind location to be at.

From the moment you walk through the doors, it says 'class'. Archie, our guide, greeted us with enthusiasm. He was highly professional throughout. Michael, the Storyteller, was superb. You don't have to like whisky in the slightest to enjoy this experience. Andrew and Michael will make your day, as for us, one to remember.
