Google
I absolutely hate the way Johnny's places the hamburgers inside the bag for to go orders. The way they place them in bag cause of the cheese to slide off to one side they need to place their hamburgers flat so this doesn't happen anymore

Google
This is my first stop every time I visit OK. I could eat their onion rings for every meal! My favorite burger was always the chili cheeseburger, but the one I got last week had an unusual taste and I couldn't eat the entire thing. Not sure what happened. But the service and onion rings were amazing as usual!

Desiree Johnston

Google
It was… alright. The Caesar burger was certainly unique, but we did wish the patties were thicker. They get drowned in sauce and buns. Fries were mid, I’d pick the onion rings over fries. Workers were all really friendly! But I wouldn’t put this place above any other burger place necessarily.

Google
I love Johnnie's! The caesar burger always hits, and the chef salad is delicious. Make sure to place an order for onion rings! Thank me later.

Don Lewis

Google
Food (burger) was great! Those hand breaded onion rings are the best! I ordered coconut pie. Very generous sized slice. I wish there was still one in Tulsa. But I always eat at a Johnnie's when in the OKC area

Google
This is the first time we came to this Johnnies Burgers. It was awesome as usual. The sweet tea is VERY sweet. The onion rings were to die for! We are so glad we don't live in Oklahoma city because we would be eating here a lot. I guess Oklahoma city is the only place they are located. It's a little pricey, but worth it.

Google
Always love Johnnie's. Rick, the owner, has really updated the different locations. I've recently been at the I-240 location and now (this past Friday) at the original on North Britton Road. Great food and drinks. Plus, entertainment at the Britton location with Michael Kleid (great musician and singer). Tell them Wade Carter sent you

Google
I’m so sad! We ordered from the Britton location last night but THE worst food from Johnnie's we've ever had before!! #4. Johnnie’s Caesar Burger and#19. No one wants to hear all the gory details but we've eaten from Johnnie's since the 1980's and this will go down in history🤢At some point we’ll try again and I hope it’s a better experience.

Yelp
The Beef vegetable soup was reallyyyy good & hit the right spot. Great customer service also, I think Mckenzie? beautiful brunette lady Place looked so peaceful 10/10 experience

Yelp
Johnnie's has and will ever be a genuine rec for those who live/work close to hear. It's a solid lunch/super casual spot with good consistent food. I've grown up coming here for 33 years and it hardly ever misses. From burgers, to wings, and salads you can't go wrong. Although, I wish they never got ride of the chicken fried steak (covid era removed it from the menu). The service is always solid and they have a decent happy hour in the Lounge.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch (2pm) on a Friday afternoon. We visit Oklahoma a few times a year, and ALWAYS make a trip to Johnnie's. The service is always friendly, quick and even when busy, seems to always have a clean table available. We also like the relaxed family vibe. Today the service seemed to be a bit slower, but we were not in a hurry. I ordered the Chef Salad (my usual) and used my Johnnie's Rewards and received a free order of small onion rings. My salad was BIG and chalked full of meat and cheese. The onion rings were good, but a bit cold. My husband always gets the Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich, and he said it was delicious, as usual. Our adult daughter ordered the cheeseburger kid's meal because she wasn't overly hungery. I was shocked at the portion size being a "kid's" meal. It was a good sized burger with a lot of fries. Seemed like a very good value. Until next time...

Yelp
I love their cranberry salad with chicken! The homemade raspberry dressing mixed with the blue cheese- YUM! So sad they closed down the one on May:( I definitely also recommend the ceaser burger!

Yelp
Atmosphere is great; onion rings yummy. Plenty of parking. The plain burger is horrible--so dry I can barely eat it--very overcooked. Will not return. Advise folks to skip or order something non hamburger related
google avatar

Stephen B.

Yelp
The atmosphere is very cozy. The bartenders were very attentive and food knowledgeable. The place is very clean and the wings are delicious. They have live music on Saturday nights and the band is awesome. This is a great place to go to unwind here some music have a drink and something to eat!

Yelp
Johnnie's is an icon of Oklahoma City and should be a stop for anyone who enjoys a great charbroiled burger and amazing onion rings!! The Johnie's sauce is also something that you won't find anywhere else!! You must try it! The ambiance is a family oriented one with tables large enough to accommodate 5 or more. You place your order as you enter the premise and your name is called when the order is complete. The food is always pipping hot and freshly made to order!
google avatar

Sandra H.

Yelp
Overview: 3/5 I wish Yelp allowed 3.5 because that's what I would have given as the rating this place. It was OK Ambiance : 4/5 Lots of tables for both large and small parties. A clean and spacious floor plan. It had a separate area for private parties which is nice. Food/Drink 3/5 I got a cheeseburger and the homemade onions rings The burger had a good charbroiled flavor. However I felt the bun to meat patty ratio was imbalanced. Too much bread to burger. Also I totally didn't get the cheese not being melted... apparently it was a "option" for ordering. The onion rings were not greasy and had a good crunch. They did need a bit of salt though. The soda machine didn't work so that was a bit frustrating Service : 3/5 It was fine you order and they call your name once the order is done. Conclusion : It was OK not sure I'd put it on a top food places.. Other burger joints to try before I would return.

Yelp
Worst ever salad in my whole life . Spinach is not fresh they said it's grilled chicken but look like a boiled chicken total waste of money .

Jerry K.

Yelp
Johnnies is an icon in OKC since the closing if the Split T. Great burgers, fries and onion rings.

Louis N.

Yelp
What happened, Johnnie??!! We loved your consistency in the past. You've changed! The burger patties were smaller, our buns were not fresh, the onion rings were not hot, and we were one of only 4-5 tables on a Saturday afternoon at 4 pm. The staff was all just hanging out talking. So many options for burgers now, you gotta up your game!

Ashton B.

Yelp
I absolutely love Johnny's. My whole family has strep throat and I just got a 2 L vegetable soup. There is probably like five pieces of beef in there and for it being called vegetable beef soup I would have to say I'm very disappointed. If you were the manager or owner, please start adding more beef to your vegetable beef soup.

James H.

Yelp
Whole chain has really gone down hill. Very sad to see because their OG chili cheese burger was one of the best. Just overpriced fast food at this point. Quality has been thrown out and replaced with cheap nasty crap.

Yelp
yes good good good great great goood great great good great go eat now its amazing and makes me want to cry its so good

Yelp
The theta cheeseburger is simply excellent! The location itself is clean and has plenty of parking. My service was fast and on point. Lots of seats and thankfully a very clean restroom! Absolutely excellent location. I'm definitely going to be a regular.

Leland W.

Yelp
Good food and the coconut cream pie is phenomenal! A little pricey but what isn't these days!

Yelp
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER Firstly the people behind the counter are very rude and pick and choose who they want to greet and not greet the older white woman that went before me got treated so nicely but when it came to my turn i was given cold stares and not a hello or anything. I placed my order waited forever for the food once the order was ready I asked the woman were there sauce for the chicken tender platter and she told me it came with gravy i kindly asked her could i sub the gravy for a different sauce since no one asked me which sauce i would prefer. She turned around and asked another white lady could i switch it and she looked at me said no and just stared at me with a stank look on her face so im like whatever cool ill just pay the extra then. So the lady rings it up i pay with my card and instead of being charged 0.55 it charged me 1.00 i showed both of the ladies and asked could i just have a second sauce no need to refund or make it a big deal and their going to tell me no and just stare at me which is funny to me because you over charged me and want to act like it doesn't matter so frustrated with the ladies i left when i got home i didnt even have my extra dressing for the salad they just were charging me for stuff and not doing what needed to be done on their end MIND YOU I am a young African American women i felt very judged misunderstood and just pushed to the side its 2025 you would think people would have respect for all different cultures and colors I WILL NEVER GO BACK I RECOMMEND SUPPORTING BLACK OWNED BUSINESS AND NOT STUCK UP RESTAURANTS STILL LIVING IN 1955

Yelp
Johnnies has great food but disappointed in their recent price increases. they at one time offered a senior discount but have even taken that away. verrrrry disappointed in this during a very hard time for seniors on a fixed income will force us to go elsewhere for a burger. Sad!
google avatar

James J.

Yelp
There it is..... I have been eating at the Johnnie's on the south side for years and had noticed a decline in the quality of their food until they finally closed a year or so ago. Well I had a hankering for a Johnnie's burger and coconut cream pie so I drove across town and visited the original restaurant. They reminded me of what I had been missing for the last several years. The burger was cooked perfect and the onion rings were perfect. Because I drove across town I bought a whole coconut cream pie and took it home. Yep I'm a pig! Overall grade "A+". I will be making another trip across town again real soon.

Jim S.

Yelp
10/10 amazing burgers even if they're a bit pricy. The wait was only 5 minutes when half the room was full. Great place would recommend eating here
google avatar

Anna F.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Johnnie's in a long time until we recently had a family gathering in one of their back rooms. The burgers were just as I remembered, but since I don't really like charbroiled burgers it reminded me why I don't eat here. The onion rings weren't crispy either. The strawberry shake was basic. My mom said the chocolate pie wasn't good. The best part of the meal we had were the chicken fingers which says quite a bit about a burger place. The service was lacking as well. I enjoyed them allowing us to use the room to accommodate our family, but I definitely won't be back again on my own.

Anita L.

Yelp
Johnnies has been my favorite burger place for years! Today,.,hmm. I asked for 4-5 of the little caesar dressings to go with the Chef Salad I ordered. When my bill sounded high, the girl tells me they make you pay for it! She said they "allow" you ONE dressing, for a CHEF Salad!? So what I get a 1/2 of a container for a dinner salad? Makes no sense. This is the silly kind of thing that costs you a good customer! I used to drive to Britton from Yukon before there were no other locations. When they closed during COVID and there silly move to be Paulines Kitchen (toooooo expensive, for Chicken?), service, quality went down. Now the Yukon site has gone back to Johnnies and the presentation and the charbroil of the burger were back to good ole Johnnies. But seriously I'll drive to NW Expressway if you can't see your way clear to give me the dressing that I need for the large salad that I paid for. What's next charge me for ketchup?

Ian E.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and my extended family loves it. This week was my best experience yet. I could appreciate the signature taste, the ingredients were all good. And the famous onion rings, that I had previously not cared for, were on point! I'll be back for sure!

Sara D.

Yelp
The food is always great! And the people were nice, the restaurant was clean and the price isn't bad for how much you get. Highly recommend!

Martha J.

Yelp
Food was amazing and employee terra was a absolute joy and everything was clean I enjoyed it very much will be back

Elliot M.

Yelp
Food was not nearly good enough for how expensive this place is. 17 dollars for a sandwich a drink and fries.

Mary M.

Yelp
After years of loving this place, we ate lunch there today. WORST SERVICE EVER! Rude young people running the place. They simply don't care about your food or service.

Diana Z.

Yelp
I was so excited to see that they have gluten free buns here, now, and they're super tasty!!! Fries were also safe to eat :)
google avatar

Doug J.

Yelp
Classic Oklahoma burger. Still good after all these years. Prices are fair and service is always fast.

Isabelle R.

Yelp
maddox kali ryley and ashlynn sure knows whats up. He displayed his utmost competence when we were ordering, zinged out the food within minutes, hes a needle among a haystack, i believe he deserves a million dollqr raise

Chris F.

Yelp
Food is always great and MC is the best server in the world! The fried chicken and Johnnie's burgers are always consistent. The place is very clean and the food comes out fast. I go there at least once a week.
google avatar

Marie W.

Yelp
Shopping at a nearby antique mall, we were drawn in by the aroma of cooking beef, and we were not disappointed! Perfect casual lunch. First burger in a few years, and I loved it. Caesar for both of us, and we split an order of fries. Clean restaurant interior, lots of space, and friendly service. Thanks for being a classic stop, Johnnie's!
google avatar

Z S.

Yelp
I have been here a few times now and all I can say is meh. The burgers taste store bought, the bread was either overtoasted or it was stale. Orders came out incorrect in some way every time I was here. The coke machine had barely any options despite it being the large freestyle coke machines. The food itself was quite lackluster. That being said, the onion rings with a side of ranch was AMAZING, the food came out fairly quick, and the restaurant was clean. I think if they put some more effort into a better product, I would want to return. I would give this a 2.5 because it's right in the middle of the road for me. So I'll give it a three to be fair.
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Classic OKC staple that has amazing charcoal burgers. Portion sizes are hefty! The burgers won't leave you hungry! If you like onion rings I strongly suggest you try those out rather than their fries, they're much better! Don't waste you money on a root beer float. You could probably make a better one at home. Line can get long as this location depending on the time! They do have a call ahead/to go order pickup section of the store that is much quicker than waiting in line often times
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
I had an old fashioned hamburger with small french fries and a diet coke. The hamburger is charbroiled and I liked it. The french fries were mediocre to me but they served 2 sizes small and large. The small size was like a large anywhere else. I did like the atmosphere and the service was pretty quick. The music was 70s/80s genre There is lots of seating as well as parking. The menu has many options including hotdogs. It's worth a try if you like hamburgers.

Bryan H.

Yelp
This place scammed me out of $57.04. Place a pick-up order. Things to expect from this establishment: 1. No seasonings in the batter for onion rings that were cold and tasted like it was cardboard. 2. Fries once again no flavor, cold food tasted days old. 3. Burgers were tasteless with hard patty's and yes cold yet again. I will not return to this location.. I will warn anyone about how this establishment's staff doesn't care for quality. The food used to be good not anymore.!

Chris M.

Yelp
I ordered the cheeseburger. There was waaaay more bun than burger. The onions rings were decent. The young man taking our order bordered on indifference or annoyed that we were taking up his time. The person who appeared to be a manager seemed slightly troubled but disconnected and not friendly. The only shining light in the dining experience was the little older Hispanic lady who was very friendly, helpful and working harder than anyone else. We went and stuck money in her hand. She was awesome! The restaurant was very clean and looked very nice.

John B.

Yelp
First time we've been to the new bar addition. A very nicely done bar. The food here is better than the express on May. The food is ordered from and delivered to the bar very efficiently making for great service. With the more lengthy menu and better quality food we'll be back. Bar area is very cool.

Yelp
I grew up loving The Split T, where Johnny used to work, and later Johnnies. For years it seemed like everybody, including me, copied their menu. I even used the same local meat company, Club House, that was run by a great couple. I once ask them what made their patties so much better than other vendors. They told me their patty making machine didn't over press the meat which allowed it to be tender and also the cuts of beef they used. I only mention this because the patty I had was more like cardboard than a flavorful beef patty. I don't know if the guy on the charbroiler over cooked it, didn't flip it at the right time or just pressed all the juice and flavor out of it with his spatula. The onion rings were great as always. The remodel was well done. Closing for months during the rebuilding of Britton Rd had to be hard for them and I hope they can train up the new crews to their old quality. They added a cocktail lounge with a patio and also connected to one of the meeting rooms. We didn't have drinks but the menu has an impressive selection of local craft brews. I love the design and decor with a large bar and cozy seating pods. I will be going back and giving it a try soon. With so many new hamburger choice in OKC, I hope they can get a handle on quality soon.

Terry F.

Yelp
I went to the restaurant today at lunch. Time. Got a Burger and fries, not very impressed this time and the Young man that brought it out was very unprofessional and rude. Acting like he don't want to work. I wouldn't recommend him dealing with any customers. Thanks.

Rod C.

Yelp
Wow! This is great food, great dessert and friendly staff. I will be a regular here. I tried the pasta combo and tiramasou both were exceptionally well done

Ashley L.

Yelp
They could not make a basic cheeseburger. They smothered the burger with an inch of poor quality shredded cheese. Expensive and poor service. You can get a better quality and tastier burger for less money at McDonald's.
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
The best. My favorite in the metro for wholesome family affordable dining. Go by as soon as you can.
google avatar

Sarah F.

Yelp
I had heard about Johnnie's for years from a friend who grew up in OKC and was excited to finally come here for a burger. The inside is more like a diner than a fast food restaurant and you don't have to bus your own garbage. I had their signature theta burger which has hickory sauce on it. Note: The trick to eating the theta burger without getting the sauce all over you is to leave the little paper bag the burger comes in on the burger and slide it down as needed when you eat the burger. I wasn't clued in and quickly discovered my error. By then it was too hard to get the burger back in the bag. The burger is meaty and quite filling. I also tried the fries and onion rings. I liked the onion rings better than the fries: nice big slices of white onion. Add a Dr. Pepper and you've got a classic Johnnie's meal.
google avatar

Baylee C.

Yelp
Decided to finally try Johnnie's since I happened to be down the street today and had heard great things about their food. I didn't have a lot of time so I ordered a theta burger and onion rings to go. It was ready in about 2 minutes so I guess that should have been a red flag. The burger looked/tasted like it had been sitting out a bit, which is probably why it was drowned in their signature sauce. And the onion rings had big chunks of flour/breading uncooked! The experience ruined my appetite so at least I'm not hungry anymore.
google avatar

Bob H.

Yelp
Since moving from OKC to Dallas two and a half years ago, I've searched far and wide for a hickory burger so I could assemble a #9 Theta. No luck although there several hickory burgers around here but not really. Most just use BBQ sauce but no hickory sauce even comes close to Johnnies. So while I patronize Johnnies every time I go to OKC, and while there's plenty of burger competition in and around Dallas, there's certainly room for Johnnies to bring their menu and products to Dallas! Come on down! PS There's no #4 Caesar down here either!
google avatar

Sean C.

Yelp
Just ordered food on Postmates. The burger patty was so small and very pink (I ordered medium but this was closer to rare). The shredded cheddar cheese was lukewarm and not even close to melted. Tasted nothing but raw ground beef and gobs of unmelted cheese. I paid extra for fast delivery but the food was still cold on arrival. I honestly hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was warranted. However; I will be happy to give them a second chance someday (maybe not for delivery), and would be more than happy to edit and amend this review if the situation is rectified.

Rob B.

Yelp
The best burger in OKC. Fresh cut fries. Great onion rings. Fast, friendly service. Just wish they still had a location in Tulsa!

Yelp
Got some burgers and a chef salad to go. My salad was huge and easily split into two meals. Ranch is delicious. The burgers were good- they use some thick cheese which my kids all loved. Nothing too fancy but good food and good customer service.
